so we are doing so much better today! I've not had to pump since early yesterday morn! she's nursing better as well since my nips no longer feel like they are shooting fire

I gave her a little spongebath today-to which she hated.

she had a long wake span last night at bedtime. she usually wants to powernurse from @ 10-12am, but last night she wouldn't settle down for longer than 30 min all the way til 1... or was it 2? I think the problem was that I changed the sheets before bed. I had flannel sheets on before and switched to cotton. so I finally thought to put a fleece blanket under her and she slept fine.

its lunch time and almost one cranky boys nap time, so gotta go and make people happy!

yeouch!!

we have thrush! I've never, out of all my kiddos had thrush or any worse problems than a clogged duct or two and some cracked/bleeding nips. no mastitis or anything. this stuff is AWFUL!!! I'd not wish it on an enemy of mine. for those that have never had it, the only way I can describe it is it feels like a 2nd degree sunburn, just only on the nips and under the skin, then let someone come and suck on that skin!  its terrible!!!!!
called in the peds office and my OB today and drove to the peds office to get her looked at. so we both have meds now and hopefully (pray to God!) within a few days (or less???) things will be getting better.

she's doing great though! went ahead and had a weigh in and such and today she's up to 7.12 lbs (she was 7.1 1/2 lbs the day of discharge!) and she's now 21" long and head is 14" (see, I know they wrote down the wrong thing the day she was born). she still has a wee bit of jaundice, but it only goes down to about her lower shoulders, so we keep getting outside with her about 15 minutes a day for some sun and as long as her diapers are staying as they are, we'll be good to go in about a week most likely.
we'll still go in for her 2 wk checkup next week as well.

she wore her first dress today too! I think I got a pic... yep, this morning. will post that later with the others (again LOL)

birth story!

Sarina Faith Angelina 4/15/08
At my dr appt the day before, Dr. P did an internal and a sweep. He told me I was at 3cm and 70% thinned. I asked to go in on Wednesday to have baby girl, but he was going to be out of town by then and the next time that would work for everyone in the family was next week if she'd not come on her own. So Tuesday it was!
That evening I began having regular contrax starting at 7-10minutes apart for a few hours. After going to bed and waking later, they were at 5. I was happy about that, but doggone tired, so finally headed back to bed to get a bit of sleep since we had to be at the hospital by 6a.m. *yawn*.
When its time to get up in the morning, I realize the contrax have basically stopped. Figures. Though they did start back up on the way to the hospital, they were only about 8-12 minutes apart now.
After getting my paperwork, we headed up to L&D where they were waiting on us. I was the only one there to deliver so got all kinds of attention! My first nurse got me settled in and hooked up to see how things were going (that's when I seen the contrax were about 8min apart) and she called Dr. P to let him know I was in.
He arrived about 7 to talk about what was going to happen that day. I'd planned on just getting my water broke, but he told me that if things didn't start up within a couple of hours, he wanted to start me off on a low dose of pit to get things going. (I was pouting about it, but really didn't want to be in labor for HOURS anyway, so okayed it). The heplock was put in (which turned out to be a good thing), Dr. P broke my water at 7:20. No big gush this time at all, just a wee bit of trickle. They were happy with it though cause little girl was still high up and they didn't want to risk a cord prolapse with her.
So we hang out for a couple of hours, listening to the baby, watching any contrax and just trying to catch a couple of zz's since I was tired. At this time, I was a stretchy 3, almost a 4 when they broke my water. Nurse called me at only 50%, though I told her the doc had said 70% the day before.
My nurse had been warned about how fast I *could* go, so my cervix was checked about once an hour from 7:30 til 10:30. At 9:30's check, 2 hrs into having my water broke, I was still the same as before. Almost a 4 and no real change in cervix. *pout* this looked like it was going to drag out on me. The nurse worked on my cervix a bit because Sarina wasn't facing the right way yet and wasn't putting pressure on me like she should. As she fiddled with her, Sarina started to turn a bit for me.
The pit mix was brought in after that, all set up 9:45-10 a.m. Started the drip at a 2 of course and she upped it every 15-20 minutes til it got to 6 and we stopped there.
After about an hour on the pit, the contrax were very regular and getting slightly painful. they wondered about what kind of pain I was having by the way it was showing up on the monitors though (I have a high pain threshold, so wasn't showing a lot of signs). (I should mention my nurse was being followed by a trainee the entire time). Before my first check upon getting there, I had already told my head nurse that I had been thinking I wanted an epidural cause I'd been freaking out about the labor for the longest time. I didn't want to feel the pain and was really ready to get it if it looked like it was going to be a while. (she was talking me out of it though in her own way). So after she told me I'd have to finish a bag of fluids before the epi could be given and that it'd take a good 20-30 minutes to take effect, she convinced me to keep on going.
I should also mention that dh didn't want me to get the epi, mainly cause I'd told him after I had one before with Hunter's birth, that I didn't want to get another one. So he was vocal in me not doing it, while my mom was saying if I wanted one to hurry up and not wait (cause she didn't like to see me hurt).
Let's see, around 9, my little sister got there. She's got a lot of everything on video and is going to send it to me as a movie file. About 9:30 my mom, Sdad and the young boys got there. Canaan and Katlyn had arrived with us that morning of course. About 10 my brother and SIL arrived. I think about 10:30 my dad arrived.
We all hung out and talked and stuff. I tried to rest a bit, but laying on my side hurt a lot, so we set the bed up in a mostly sitting position since that felt better on me and my back. My dad kept the kids entertained a lot and most of the men folk hung out in the lobby area while the ladies stayed in the labor room. My SIL was really excited I remember and I could really tell her anticipation of what was going on, though she felt so bad when I'd have a contraction. My sis was the same (though she's quieter) and my mom I could hear trying to breathe through the contrax with me. LOL!
During each check the nurse would encourage Sarina to turn her head some to a more favorable position. This really seemed to help.
I *think* the pains started getting a bit harder by 11:15 to 11:30. I do remember that the nurse wanted to check me again at about 11:25 (cause she didn't trust me LOL) and found that I was at 5-6cm now and baby was still turning and much easier to feel. I'd been getting small gushes of fluid by now with the contrax as well. So she told everyone they could step back around the curtain and we told them the progress. (wow's all around and yays too cause things were finally moving! LOL). We sit back and yak some more (I'm still in the same semi-sitting position in bed) and with each contraction I have to breathe deeply now. Dh is picking on me that he has a good opportunity to give me a wet willy right now. LMBO! So at 11:35 the nurse comes back for another check cause she sees that I was dealing differently with the contrax now. She does a quick check and sees that I'm 7 now and baby is really close and turned even more and my cervix is almost gone. She has the staff put a call in to the doc either now or before this point, but I found out later he was in with a patient at the office (which is just around the corner).
Back to our yakking and hanging out, but nurse is back within 10 minutes, about 11:45 to do another check because of whats showing on the monitors and so that she's not surprised all of a sudden. She finds that I'm between 8-9cm now! So after the check, she mentions that she thinks baby would be here within 15 minutes or so. We tell the family as they come back around the curtain and everyone is excited! I remember dh being on the side of the bed and my mom close to the end of the bed at this point. A few more contrax come though after that as everyone is talking with me. These have gotten to the point of closing my eyes and deep breathing while I push against the bed with my hands. After these are through, I raise my right hand up to show dh and mom and all I said was "just so you know" cause my hands were shaking bad now. Dh told the nurse, "be ready." She asked "are you serious?" and he and mom told her that I always start getting the shakes before baby comes. So she asks "do you think I should check her again?" (I wasn't getting any push pains by this point, just shaking-which is seen clearly on the video, and really could have cared less if I got checked again.) I didn't feel like pushing yet and baby wasn't in the birth canal either, so I was just breathing through the contrax like I had been and pushing against the bed with my arms as I was sitting. Dh told the nurse to check me, so she asked people to stand behind the curtain (I think it was dh, mom, sis, SIL and dad back there at this time).
I told the nurse before she started to check me that a contraction was starting and she said that was ok. Well, as soon as she touched my cervix everything changed! It was no longer just a contraction, it was a PUSH and baby was coming OUT! She started telling me loudly to "just breathe!" and dh and mom ran back around the curtain to get on the sides of the bed and my sisters got back on the other side of the room. The nurse hollered at the trainee to go get another nurse on call cause she needed her help ASAP. As for me, my head is thrown back on the bed and I'm doing my darndest to breathe/pant like they want, but all that's coming out is pushing urges. Still on the same contraction during this time if that tells you how quick all this was going on.
*back to my perspective* When the nurse had touched my cervix, I suddenly felt head coming down the birth canal and there was no stopping it. The bed never got dropped, the stirrups were never put up and I never got laid down. I was holding onto the rails on the side of the bed with my head thrown back over the pillows behind me. I remember looking at the lights with my teeth gritted, trying to breathe deep or pant so they could do what they needed, but I could only do that a couple times. There was just no stopping it! I remember dh and mom telling me to breathe during this like the nurse was doing and I also remember the feeling of her head popping out of me and immediately her body following. I'm still looking up now and in my mind I'm thinking I could never be one of those ladies that reach down to watch or catch their own baby cause I couldn't manage it! LOL!!
I could hear my mom (and I think dh as well) telling me "she's out! She's out!" and I told them I knew she was out! (mom said I had a huge grin on my face at this point) and dh was telling everyone that "yep, she's a girl!". So I had one contraction that I birthed her in, with two breaths in that time. My mom told me today that no one really caught her she came out so fast, she just shot out on the bed! LOL!!
I could hear my sisters beside me afterwards saying things like "oh my gosh! That was so fast!" and "that was amazing!" "I cant believe it went that fast!". The nurse was busy cleaning up the baby and she had cut the cord directly afterwards, even though my dad had come around the corner to do it.
L it really made me sad cause this was the 3rd time I'd tried letting him cut the cord! *sigh* he said it was ok though.
She got laid up on my chest after cutting the cord and she looked SO small. I was amazed! My first words at seeing her were "Look at her hair!!!" I'd never expected to have a red or strawberry blonde haired baby! LOL! It had crossed my mind that it'd be neat if she came out blonde as all the other kids had all been born with a form of brown hair, but 3 of them had changed hair color to blonde later. Go figure she'd come out totally different! LOL! Her face looked the same though, definitely one of our babies!
After about 15 minutes (I think) they took her across the room to the clean up area. She had come out screaming and hadn't stopped yet! So her apgars were 9/9. They said she came out pink! The trainee nurse came back out and told me they'd weighed her at 7.11 1/2lbs at that point and would get the other stats from the nursery. (The nursery ended up weighing her at 7.10 1/2lbs so daddy calls her 7.11).
Some other things I noticed while still laying there: the nurse laid the cord up on my belly because we were still waiting on the dr to arrive. The cord was small to me, probably only as thick as my pinky finger. The doc looked kinda disappointed when he arrived LOL! I joked with him that he'd told me that I didn't need to take all day if I was getting my water broke, so I had just followed orders. *giggle*. He did deliver the placenta and checked me out. All was cleared, so no rips, tears or stitches, just sore!
We got to hang out in L&D for about an hour and a half I think. (I remembered to send a text to Naomi during this time). Sarina was squalling so loud! LOL! She was chewing her hands through the blanket and everything, so I finally got to feed her. Oh, she was so happy after that! LOL! Took right to nursing at that time (or maybe it was just the sucking LOL).
The nurse kept telling me how wonderful I did and that she was so proud of me and that she 'knew I could do it like I wanted' (as my birth plan had called for no epi or other meds unless needed). Made me feel really good!
I had to keep the heplock in my hand for a full 24+ hrs because they said I bled more than they'd have liked and in case I needed fluids, they wanted to keep it in. I ended up having to take 4 doses of a drug to help with uterine contractions (methicane? Methadone? Something like that). But all was fine with my bleeding after the initial checking and my uterus was going back down within a few hours like it should.
Oh, forgot to post all her official stats again:
Sarina Faith Angelina
7.10 1/2lbs, 20.5" long and a head circumference of 14" (though when remeasured at discharge was only 13.75" so I think someone wrote down the wrong thing), chest was 13.5". she has long fingers and toes/feet, little bird legs and bright blue eyes with strawberry blonde hair that everyone comments on! I'm thinking she *may* have a small birthmark on her right wrist, I'll see how that develops (all the other kids have birthmarks of some kind). Upon discharge she was down to 7lbs 1 ½ oz.

Truly a little princess!

all home

last night was well, like a typical first night home. she ended up sleeping in bed with us cause I was more about getting sleep than getting up and down. she went for 2-3 hr stretches between feedings (I'm pretty sure LOL). I did get to stay in bed longer. daddy finally got up with the others around 7:30 and my little Peach and I stayed in bed til 10.  I needed it though.
feeling ok today. my pelvis is sore, not the cootchie, just my pelvis. could be from sleeping in the hospital bed or whatever, but I'm still slow while moving.
my milk is in! looking more like dolly parton today. she's eating much better too! I also think having the right paci helped her. dh brought a different type (bulb type) for me yesterday and it helped bring her tongue forward. she's doing great today and things are tender of course, but she's getting milk -cause she's spit up a wee bit. (not that I'm happy she spit up a bit, just that she's getting milk) she's also farting quite a bit, so I'm expecting some good BF poop to be coming out soon!
do have more pics, but my camera is charging up and its out of reach currently. LOL

we're so fascinated with her. K wants to hold her all the time, the boys constantly want to hold her and kiss on her, even G wants to pet her head and share his paci. last night was so cute, she got upset waiting for me to get the boob out to feed her and G came across the room upset and almost crying cause she was crying and when he got to her he handed her his paci! so sweet!!!

he has been testing his boundaries though, so last night was a bit rough, but we made it through.

gonna go check in with the p/g to see if any more babies are here. I'll try to get more pics up later today, but cant promise.

she's here!!

I'm happy to announce that Ms. Sarina Faith Angelina was delivered on 4/15/08 at 11:55 am.
She was 7.10 lbs and 20.5" long, apgars of 9/9 since she came out screaming. LOL!
the birth we thought as going to take a little while, turned out to be very fast! I'll get it written up and posted before too long. in a nutshell, at 11:30 I was 5-6cm and she was born without the dr there (delivered by the nurse) at 11:55! :) yep, fast it was!
she's just so beautiful and all the family is in love with her, and get this, she has RED hair!!!! strawberry blonde to be certain, with bright blue eyes. but her face still looks like the other kids. so so sweet! I'll send a couple of pics to share!

labor update!

an update while I'm awake (yes, awake dang it *yawn*) got to bed about 10:30 to sleep sometime between then and a bit after 11. got woke up about 10 til 1 with a good contrax and had to go pee. after that I notice that they've moved up to about 5 minutes apart now (were 7-10 apart starting about 5pm) with a really good one about every 20 minutes or so.
also notice that baby girl is VERY active. she must really be bugged by these things. LOL!
I try to go back to sleep, but about 1:15 get up cause I thought I had to go poo (turns out it was just gas *blush*), but after going back to bed, I cant get comfy and also my sleep shirt is damp cause I've been sweating like crazy the whole time I was sleeping! :P
finally around 1:35 (after another good contrax) I get up to go walk around the living room. might as well do something, right?
baby girl still beating my innards up and contrax still 5 minutes even with the position change. around 1:45 need to go pee again and I'm losing some more plug now (first time since last night). so another good sign!
walk walk walk, pet kitties, walk walk-try not to fall over when a blink takes too long LMBO!
all contrax are tolerable, though every few I have to remind myself to relax my body down and let them ease up.
its 2:16 now. dh is getting us up at 4:30 to head to Gallatin. the 3 youngest boys are at my moms and they'll get there about 8 since there's no reason for them to be there at an earlier time (Unless we have to go before then on our own). *Dr wants us there by 6am unless we get there earlier*
I think I'll go try to lay back down after my next pee break. LOL!

and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just a very slow laborer without my water being broke.

Saturday, April 12, 2008

feeling pretty normal (my answer for anyone who asks how I feel). was up a gazillion times to pee last night or just to roll over it seems. if I take a swig of water (which I have to do every time I get up cause I'm so parched) it turns into a liter of water between my mouth and my bladder and I'm up within 1.5-2 hrs to pee it out. makes for a long night (without having a baby to take care of). did have a couple of times of cramps that woke me up instead, but I just shushed them away cause I knew they were 'nothing'.

dh is still sleeping, I of course got up with G when he started hollering "MOMMA!"at 7:45. yes, sleeping late, but it makes me wonder if I'll still be the one to be getting up each morning after baby gets here. I mean I know I got less sleep, why do I have to get up? *grumble*

the other kids have already disappeared into K's room to play on the gamecube. we wont see C again till tomorrow at church (he's going to stay with my mom tonight after they get in cause she lives closer to the church).

not sure what's up for today. I feel like my house is a wreck. toys/stuff everywhere and it bugs the crap out of me!

Friday, April 11, 2008

ho hum...

so absolutely nothing exciting today. the only big thing is that dh stayed home from work. he was supposed to work tomorrow, but they called the job off cause of high winds. it works out well though for today at least cause he's gone to pick up C from school and we wont have to rush him to the church to head out for Nashville. he also went with us to town today, so it went much easier!

other than that its just everyone who sees me asks "you're still here?" "you've not had that baby yet?" etc etc. yes, I'm still big, yes, I WISH I could just go in labor cause I'm ready mentally and would LOVE to, but no, I'm still round. *blah*

39 weeks belly pics!

am having some cramping, plenty of BH, but that's about it. pretty boring of course.
I did get some belly pics though to share. got funny with them since they're likely my last load of belly pics (yes, I'm sure I'll be taking a 40 wk shot, but still LOL). so bear with me while they load up, I was having fun. hehe!
first, 39 weeks

then some fun pics:

38.5 weeks and counting down

so I slept like crap last night. :P up every two hours (I'm really hoping this isn't indicative of Sarina's eating pattern LOL) and also I kept getting lower back aches, no matter which side I'd sleep on. I finally got up about 2:30 or so and came into the living room to sit on my ball against the back of the couch for a while. hoping the change of position and all would help. it kinda did, though I still kept having pains 6-10 minutes apart. finally moved to the couch to see if that would help more and things stayed the same, but I got tired by 3:50 and went back to bed. (more back pains *sigh*). still up every 2hrs after that, but I got a bit of sleep in there.
having weird dreams all night too. part of them about labor/delivery, part about goofy weird stuff.

dh woke me up this morning singing "we're going to have a baby today!" *rub belly* "we're going to have a baby today!" *rub belly* "does baby want to come out and play?" *rub belly* then he's quiet for a minute and says "hmmm... baby's sleeping right now"
he asked last night if I wanted him to stay home JIC, but I said no. don't want to waste a vacation day for the uncertain. KWIM? I told him I'd call by lunchtime to let him know what was going on. I'd not mind going in tomorrow. that'd give me time to get the rest of my stuff together and call the people who want to be there.

but I'm NERVOUS AS HECK!!!! my gosh!! I'm having these freak out moments about labor and pain now. not like I've not been through this before dang it! LOL! I just know how bad it hurts, even if its only for 30 minutes like last time and my brain is going 'no no no no no!'
I also wonder if she'll be a speedy birth or a slow and easy. if she's a speedy one, it'll hurt more, but she'll be here in under 2 hours. if she's a slow one like Garrett was, it could be 6 hours, but only hurt for a little bit.
gosh, the way the brain works us over at times like this!

C is back at school today. I feel kinda bad he didn't have a more exciting spring break. :P maybe we can make this week exciting!

OMGosh, my ticker is in single digits!! I knew it was coming, but still wasn't expecting it! LMBO!!

Friday, April 04, 2008

still here. one of the other drs are on call this weekend (the female dr I've only seen maybe 4 times over the last 3 pgs, so she has no idea of my history.) anyway, she isn't worried about it and said the usual, "if the contrax get 8 minutes apart, come on in." well boy howdy, that doesn't help cause last night they were 2-7 minutes for hours!
so whateva. I'll hang out the weekend unless things are obviously gotta go now, and just see Dr. P on Monday like I'm scheduled and go from there. he's going to do a sweep then anyway. Dr. Dillar (the dr on call) is on call all weekend so I'd rather she not deliver me anyway. LOL!

I did lay down for a short nap after talking to her. dh called to see how I was. and after getting up I went ahead and installed the carseat base in the truck.  exciting day. woo.
up at midnight.

so the rest of the night was interesting. went for dinner, could barely eat (ordered a kids pasta and didn't even eat half of it). was having low back pains/cramps and contrax all within 2-7 minutes apart. not 'dang that hurts!' hard, but bad enough to know they were certainly there.
I finally asked dh about the time towards the end of the meal and he got *wha?!* on me. LOL! plus I was still just not feeling 'right'. on the way home he turned around to get more gas in the truck JIC.
called mom to let her know as well.
got home and settled in the couch, didn't feel like being OL or knitting or anything, just sitting. finally things settled down for me, but I got doggone tired again. then she started with the cervical pressure once more. OUCH! I swear she's dropped 2ft in there.
before bed a few contrax/cramps started back up, but nothing exciting. I mentioned to dh about possibly going in early to see the doc for a check so I know what exactly is going on in there since the weekend is here. I hate having the only choice of going to the ER if I'm thinking things are progressing. I want to know if all this is doing something and to be on my toes or if its nothing and to just veg for the weekend. :P

sent everyone to bed at 10 cause I was so tired myself, took a bit to get to sleep, then woke up about 10 minutes ago cause I was feeling nauseous and had to pee. LOL what a combo!
nausea has gone away. I think its just cause I had a bowl of cereal to close to bedtime. *sigh*
so I'm up sitting, hoping it'll help digest or something so I can go back to sleep!

well...

so I'm feeling rather... well, I don't know, kinda 'eh' today. I even took my temp to make sure I wasn't getting sick and its only 98.1.
around lunch I started vacuuming and couldn't finish, had to ask K to do that. I had a flash of nausea while sitting down. nothing big, just a 'huh, why do I feel like ick right now?' type thing and it did it again a few hours later. I had to lay down after putting G down for a nap cause I was SO tired all of a sudden.
the TMI has continued, though not as bad as this morning
lower back aches, a few cramps and contrax, but nothing to really write home about.
the only thing that worries me is that last time I didn't start hurting til I hit 7cm. what if that happens again. I'm sure I'm not dilating like that, but of course the thought is in my mind and freaks me out.
I ate breakfast this morning while we were in town (BEC biscuit) but not since. dh wants to go to captain ds for dinner, so I guess we'll do that, the thought of food though isn't really appealing right now though.

I'm sure I'm doing all this 'whining' for nothing but might as well write it all down JIC.

wha? 14 days?

gosh, 38 weeks tomorrow!  It doesn't seem like it should be that time yet, but then again it does. weird! as much as I'm ready for her to be here, a big part of me isn't realizing that it'll be this soon! crazy aren't I? LOL!
gotta remember to take new belly pics tomorrow and I'd like to take some more nice belly pics.
been feeling crampy on both sides the past couple days (usually my right side is the worst) and getting some lower back pain (not associated with the sciatica) and my BH are hurtin'. getting about that time I'd say. (and no, not talking like tomorrow or anything LOL)

37.5 wk check

my appt went well, actually got some good news!
weight is still the same as last week, so that means I've not really changed weight in...I think 9 or10 weeks? (not counting the losing 3 then gaining the same 3 since it put me in the same place). my BP was GREAT today at 107/61. I think that's the lowest its been the whole pg.
baby girl is STILL measuring at 37 weeks but she's very active and along with her h/b the dr picked up an FM station with the doppler! I asked "what, does she have an IPOD in there?? LOL
for my cervical check, I'm finally at 1.5cm and 30% thinned. not much, but better than the 'nothing' I got last week! AND he could feel her head this time, so she's where she's supposed to be!
we both think I'll be there for my next appt on Monday again, but he said next week he'll do a sweep for me to try and get things moving considering how much I'm hurting.

the stinkin part was that I was just starting to be able to walk more than 15 minutes without pain until I had to lay on that dang table. now I'm a walking OUCH again, close to tears most times. give me labor any day cause at least it has a purpose!
so any ELV anyone wants to send my way would be great! LOL!

Garrett did fine the rest of the day. fever stayed down and he did eat. not a lot, but he snacked at least. he has been in one heck of a grouchy mood though!  so much screaming going on today, ugh!!! he took a good nap at 2 (I went down about 2:30) and we both slept till about 4.
now hoping he has a peaceful night (he went to bed at 9) and that we all get some rest.
dh got home tonight  and we just had leftovers for dinner (sloppy joes, and I added in some french fries and mac/cheese).
fine with me cause I surely didn't feel like going out and didn't want to chance taking G out either. he stayed in zip up pjs all day to make sure he stayed warm (and easy to change in case he puked more) and while at home I kept my pj pants on.
hopefully we'll get to go to church tomorrow (dh wants to sleep in since he's back on central time LOL).

the stupid sciatic pain is still there. I've done cat arch stretches to help, which they do for a while, but just like if I stay sitting down, it starts back up within about 15 minutes of walking around. *sigh*.
I'm getting worse cramping and BH as well, but nothing else to say Dday is near. typical.
still no swelling yet. I've done that with every pg so far and last time I gained 7 lbs in between weeks 37 and 38. still hoping I get by without it this time.

started a new knitting project tonight. I'm making a baby bag. just a simple 4 sided bag really, but it gives me something to do while I'm doing all this sitting! LOL!

there is sleep... somewhere

I'm so tired right now. but at least its not from me not being able to sleep. G was up puking once an hour from 3-6, so 4 pukes in all before he was finally able to sleep well. course the boys woke me up around 7:30 playing around in the living room (quiet for them, but momma still hears everything, KWIM? LOL) and then Gavin decided to go outside to the garage at 8, so I had to get out of bed (to give him a fussing on for doing that!).
C had ball practice at 9 anyway, so he and Garrett were up by 8:30 (nothing like last minute) and we got him there about 6 minutes late.
told him I wasn't waiting in town for him to be done, I'll go back at 12 to get him.
I'd love a nap in between, but that wont happen till G lays down for a nap-which wont happen till C is back home.
plus I'm not sure if I'll have to meet sis to pick up K or if she's going to bring her here. I really hope she brings her here. I'm too tired to do much driving.
still got laundry that needs to be done (stinky stuff from last night) but do I feel like doing it? nope. :P

bleh, please no.

well I slept really well up til now. was sleeping by 10:30 and didn't wake til 3am! had to pee then.
but when I went to lay back down, started hearing a "momma!" from Garrett, so went to check it out. thought he'd only need a paci replacement. nope. he'd tossed up all the cocoa pebbles that C had shared with him.
the funny part of it was his expressions when I figured out what was wrong and turned on the light. he was pointing at the mess like "I don't know how that got in here, but it needs to be gone!"
so I had to change everything. luckily his stuffie, and main blankets didn't get hit, just his pillowcase and sheet and extra blanket (I always keep one draped on the side). had to change him and wash his face cause it was all over half his face.
I'm waiting to make sure he goes back to sleep now. (just had to make one trip in to lay him back down).
course now I'm thinking 'oh great, not a tummy bug!' these stupid things always seem to happen right before baby comes. course I'm sure I've still got almost 3 weeks to go, but its the thought, KWIM? last time it was poison ivy that had me freaked out.
hopefully the puking is a one time thing (tucked an extra blanket under him to protect his sheets, JIC).
I'd really like to be in bed right now though. LOL!

36.5 week dr appt

had a good day today, loooooooong, but good. glad to be sitting and doing nuttin' right now though.

so first for the dr appt:
BP 123/60 (much better!), up 3 lbs so I gained the 3 that I lost (plus I had a small breakfast this morning). She's still measuring at 37 weeks (same as last week) and at first he guessed her at 7 lbs. at first...
so did the GBS swab (yuck) and then the cervical check. dang it, no change since the last time I was checked. and now for the reason. he couldn't do a sweep today, though he did try, my cervix is just way too high and she's no where near my pelvis.
he even got to wondering about how she was positioned so pulled in the u/s machine to check. (no, didn't get any pics) she is head down like he was thinking, though her head is on the left side of my pelvis, no where near engagement (as I figured). he said "this is what we typically call a floater" LOL
I got to see the top of her head, her right hip, back and side of her arm as he quickly scanned down. didn't even get to double check the girly parts *pout* but she didn't like the u/s either and decided to go from snoozing to bapping the u/s wand. LOL!
so after seeing how floating she is, he went on the talk about how some hide some of the baby in their pelvis and still measure 37 weeks, but all my tummy is ALL baby cause none of her is hiding out anywhere else. LOL! so she's not as big as he thought at first
we both agreed that we'd see each other next week.
the painful part was when I went to get up! my sciatic nerve came to life like Frankenstein!!!!! OMGOSH!!!! I seriously couldn't do more than raise my head up on the table it hurt so bad!! I grabbed my tummy (since it was the first thing to get to LOL) and yelped out in pain. the nurse asked if I was having a contraction to which I said "no, my butt hurts!!!!" it took me another good 3 minutes to work myself into a sitting position. its still bugging me off and on tonight. OUCH!!

after getting stuff done in town, we finally got to the rental house to work over there. got both mattresses drained out! brought the glider home and the frame is all clean and the seat cover is washed-still gotta dry it. my mom took a bunch of the toys to her house too.
its getting better!

dh ended up coming home tonight cause they pushed the job back in Cleveland, so he said he'd help get our current mattress drained so we can get the new one in!
we didn't get in til 5 then dh got in and we had a simple dinner and some yakking and I'm finally getting on here to veg a bit. I'm tired though!

and in some other big news today, I cut Garrett's hair!!!!! got pics and still need to get the pics off the camera.

worn out. *sigh*

today K and i went to the rental/for sale house to find out what needed to be cleaned up. geez! we have a whole kitchen counter full of stuff (that can be used), two trash cans full of trash for starters. then down to teh basement we go and ugh!

there's a huge pile of stuff for goodwill, a huge pile of stuff for burning/trash and a few things we found that we could use/keep.

there was seriously a whole room of toys left, tons of Cmas stuff, a whole corner full of 32 gallon bags we had to go through (half goodwill/keep, half trash).
its just ridiculous really. the place was full of mouse droppings
got a bunch of painting stuff for my mom, lots of drywall fixing items and screws and other woodworking stuff.
why would people just leave all this? and they know I'm pg too so not like I enjoy having to clean up their big mess.

my mom came over to help us, which really made a difference! it took us like 4 hours as it was!
dh still has to go over. no way I could haul all the stuff. I'm goign to just make a huge goodwill trip with the stuff sorted out. I'll have to do it when none of the kids are riding, cause I'll have to lay down both of the back seats to fit all their stuff, plus what I have in my own tub to go! huge donation! LOL

so from the past two days, my feet, legs, back and tummy are aching. the top of my uterus was really sore last night and my pelvis still feels like its on fire.  I've got crampy nerves running down the backs of both legs too. what a mess.

we did find some good toys for the kids though. K got a whole set of the disney princess baby doll care items (swing, walker, carrier, etc), the boys got a toy weed eater, a couple of plastic bats, a sit and spin, a basketball goal, some small toys like tractors, etc too. I found a bag of baby clothes I went through. got a lot of 12m stuff and a few smaller items. nice stuff what I kept! other stuff was either goodwill or trash. I guess this is all the stuff she kept telling me she was going to bring but never did. ha.

OH, the biggest and best thing they left??? a waterbed mattress!!! not a regular one either, one of the boxspring sets!!! these are like $600 sets!! I've wanted one forever cause my mom has a set and they're SO nice! so its sitting in the master bedroom over there, ours for the taking! ha!!! its the size of our bed too, so it'll fit in our frame! (later we can buy a real bed frame if we want!) I'm tickled about that one!

so besides that, nothing much (but I guess that's really enough LOL). did get some loving from dh this morning. hopefully when I go in on monday, we'll see a difference in the ol' cervix!

36 week (a day early) checkup

finally back home! I'm pooped! they were running almost an hour behind today, even though my appt was at 10. :P
so for the appt today, I'm down another 2.5 lbs (total gain by the dr is 16 lbs. I was thinking it was less, but guess that's what I get for thinking). nurse did ask why I was losing (since I'd dropped .5 lb last week), and I told her I just don't have the room to put much in. I eat maybe 1 1/2 meals a day right now. plus I'm not swelling (yet). I'm definitely not used to dropping weight til right before labor, so goes to show that even #6 can be different.
BP was 131/77 (up some for me) and all else was fine. Dr. P measured her at 37cm (he always measures a cm bigger) so she's right on track. he's guessing an 8lb baby. I do wonder if he's taking into consideration that she's floating like a beach ball in there so doesn't sit down that low.  but 8lb is a normal baby size for me, so we'll see!
I turned in my birth plan today and it was all okayed.

my major points on it were:
-only a heplock and no IV til pit is needed after the birth (to help my uterus contract since its had so many babies)
-able to walk around if I feel like it during labor instead of being tied to the bed with monitors.
-no meds, forceps, vac or episiotomy without permission.

then there were a few other things like who'd be in the labor room and at the actual birth, who cuts the cord and stuff. they faxed a copy over to the hospital for my records and he also made a note on the bottom for the nurses of "has fast labors". if anyone remembers I only had pain for the last 30 minutes of Garrett's labor and only the last 15 minutes were 'very bad pains'. he was born in those 15 minutes. LOL

he asked if I'd been having any contrax, which I had. told him, 'sure, contrax/cramps/BH. how many you want?' so he asked if I thought baby would make an appearance anytime soon. nope, sure don't. LOL!

next week will start cervical checks. I'm going to ask for a sweep next week just to help things along. I know Dr P will do that for me. Dr C wouldn't do it with Garrett's pg and made me mad. LOL! ("no, its still too early for that" ppppppttttttttt!!!!)

we stopped at sonic for lunch (I was finally hungry! yay!) then at cares. found a couple of baby outfits and a swimsuit, a couple items for the boys and a couple items for K. all the kids clothes up to size 14 were only a quarter today!
started feeling like crap while waiting in line. had to hurry up and get to the truck so I could sit down. :P I was fine afterwards though.

C has ball practice tonight and then its supposed to rain through tomorrow.

oh, we rented Nancy Drew, Bee Movie and Gameplan for the week.

Monday, March 17, 2008

G is on the upswing today! he woke around 11 (right after I went to bed of course LOL) and was burning up again, so another dose of tylenol, some water and a snuggle on mommies lap til it had some time to kick in and he slept the rest of the night til 7:30 this morning. he's still warm, but nothing like he has been. plus he's jabbering away like crazy, so I know he's feeling better.

STILL waiting on our deposit to clear the bank! its now on 'pending' status. *grrrrr!* I'll have to keep checking today to see when its actually clear. this is ridiculous! I hope dh has them to stop the 'direct deposit' cause that's a load of crap!! I'm late on getting the rest of my house payment in now, plus other bills thanks to this stupid stuff.

ah, G is playing with the boxes I got from Katie yesterday. definitely starting to feel better.

I'm still waiting to eat breakfast, I'm not hungry yet. get this: the last time I ate was for lunch at BK yesterday! I had two cinnamon rolls and choc milk for bfast, then a 'big kids meal' for lunch. that's it. I was stuffed the whole rest of the day! little miss has taken all my tummy space from me. LOL! if only I could be like this when NOT pg, maybe I'd not have a weight problem. LOL!
next dr appt is tomorrow. I need to remember to take my birth plan in and to actually write it down so its readable.

35 weeks belly pic

finally getting my pics OL. me and my big ol' belly
35 weeks!

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

woah!

I'm kinda freaking out cause tomorrow I'll be 35 weeks! 35!! wow!! the thing is, normally I'm anal about counting down my weeks after I hit single digits (9 weeks to go, 8 to go...) and I've thought of it yes, but REALLY thought of it? no! so today I was writing in my baby journal and was like "whoa, what's wrong with me?!" LOL
do you realize I can tell people I've got at least 2 weeks to go? (full term-which I'll tell people I don't know LOL!) and at the most 5! omgosh! it seems so 'out there' to me still. this is my last pg that I'm planning on cause I am SO through with the worry of the 9 months. let me watch my kids grow now please! but its like my brain doesn't comprehend this is the last time 'this or this' will be. these are the last weeks I'll feel a baby in my belly, etc. I've been thinking of it today to really try and get my mind to grasp it. I guess since we've never opted for permanent birth control before, its not really sunk in. it feels weird!

and in that same time frame, I'm going to be a mom to 6 kids! six beautiful, prayed for kids!! ME! it sounds funny, but when I look in the mirror, I don't *see* it, does that make sense? I always imagine moms of 6 kids (or heck 5+) to be really stressed out looking and haggard LOL! but I KNOW that's not the case (plenty of moms of LOTS in our homeschool group that don't look that way). I guess its just a worldly perception of things. I still feel young (erm, well, after the pg I'll feel a lot younger LOL) and I think I look young for my age (?). I must be doing something right, cause its rare for someone to just think that all the kids are mine. LMBO!! hmmm... if I had a dollar for every double or triple take I got, I'd be rich! hehe!!
oh well. I'm just rambling! I feel so very blessed with each one of my babies. sure I gripe about them sometimes, but what mom doesn't. they drive me bonkers sometimes, but what kids don't at some point? I'm proud of every one of them and still amazed that they came from dh and I. they've been every bit worth all the scares, all the time TTC and everything else we've been through to get them here! once LO arrives, I'll feel like a full circle has come 'round.

listen to me getting all sappy. yep, you can tell I've been watering up at the labor/delivery shows!

score!

so we had a good afternoon/day. actually got school work done with all the kids (wow, go me! LOL). did some more cleaning around the place (this 'cleaning bug' will eventually sprout wings and fly off at some point).
when C got home, he didn't know what time his practice was cause no one told them last time, so I had to call. turns out it was at 4 (he gets off the bus at 4:10, so we called and let them know we were going to be late and got there about 4:45.  oh well. they said next time it'd be at 4:30 (Thursday).
after dropping him off, we went to the consignment store. guess what she'd put back for me?
someone had brought this in this week and she put it in back til I came in! yes, I have one, but remember its blue. I *really* wanted one of the lighter colored seats so it'd look better with the cover I'd made! I had some selling $ as well, so I only paid $5 for it! woo!
this is it all cleaned up and washed (I always sanitize/clean everything!!!)

and with the bonnet on and MY carseat cover just cause I made it, so it should be on there!

she said the couple also had the matching stroller, but were still using it and didn't know when it'd be coming in. so I may be able to snatch that later on. don't need it now anyway.

knitting done!

so I actually pulled out my knitting tonight! been procrastinating on that one. I finally finished Sarina's other sweater! it looks like the first one, only its about 2 sizes bigger and has a texture to it and ribbing along the bottom. (which I totally screwed up one piece of that). but its DONE! I feel so much better
still have a ton of yarn to think of things to make with, but at least I don't feel hindered for not having finished that.

I fixed pizza bread tonight for dinner. ran out of pepperoni, so pulled out the bbq pork to use. turned out good! out of 24 pieces, there's only 4 left! I may have those for lunch tomorrow.

dh will be home tomorrow evening hopefully. tomorrow is also bball practice so we'll be eating out. I'm thinking Sonic since they have the 5 for $5.95 thing on Tuesdays. I'll take my own cheese and chips and buy a two liter.

pics!

here are some of the kids after coming in from the snow on Saturday:
Gavin

hunter

Katlyn (who was mad the boys were coming inside)

look behind H here and you can see Thomas sneaking into the cabinet that holds his canned cat food! I asked him if he was going to open the can himself too *giggle*

cool boy Garrett

this is a pocket organizer that goes on the back of a car seat. he was wearing it on his head LOL

the little snow man who is now a snowlump

SIL Tasha and my nephew Landon. mamaw brought him a balloon today when they came over. he kept saying "mouse!" and "boon"

landon's trike that G reeeeeeeeeeally liked! he was on this 90% of the time we were there. I think we know what he'll be getting for his birthday!

just vegging a bit this afternoon. G is napping, as is dh. the kids are watching TV and I think I'm going to take a snooze myself in a sec.
stayed home today cause the roads are questionable past my moms (going to church) but she did tell me later today that they were actually all clear. they think the area magistrate must have finally started fussing about never getting the roads out there plowed or salted.
we went to have Chinese for lunch (spent almost $40) and of course I could only eat one average sized plate and a bowl of ice cream. no room at the inn I tell ya. told dh I felt robbed.
the snow is about gone now. just some patches of thicker piles left and areas that are shaded. the kids are sad of course. they built a snowman today and he's more like a snowlump now. LOL
oh, finally got to ask my SIL if she wanted to be in the labor room when Sarina comes. she said yes of course. so all 3 of my sisters will be there (as long as they can all make it).
today is my brothers birthday (he's 22) and the 4th was Tasha's (also 22) so we stopped by to see them.
guess that's about it. I'm feeling kinda 'blah' today for whatever reason.

Friday, March 07, 2008

finally got some winter weather moving through. they even called schools off today before hand JIC. course the weather didn't change over til after school hours. :)

Thursday, March 06, 2008

*sigh*

sometimes I wish I wasn't active OL. getting to know people OL is a great thing, but sometimes I just wish I wasn't so close to some. Another of my pregnancy playgroup girls lost her baby. she'd have been 36 weeks tomorrow. she and her husband went through several rounds of IF treatments just to get pg and the pg had been going picture perfect. *sigh* I'm just so sad. that makes 4 of our ladies with losses after 20 weeks. its so hard. :(

Wednesday, March 05, 2008

how many?

oh oh, funny thing from Ryan's tonight! I was going back for my 2nd little plate and one of the girls was asking if I was ok (my left hip was hurting cause of that dang sciatica so I was limping a bit and walking very slow). I told her it was just a slow process. well, she asked how much longer I had and I said "hopefully only 3 weeks" (cant let them know I can go another 6!) and then she asked how many this made for me, to which I said Six. her eyes got huge and she said "how many??" I said Six. she repeated herself "how many????" to which I nodded and said yes, Six. she said it at least 3 times if not four! I just smiled and went to find something that would fit in my tummy. LOL!!

34 weeks belly pic

34 wk belly pic!

gavin's 'haircut'

 and Gavin's cut by katlyn

and after mommy fixing it a wee bit so we could make it through the day

it has been recut now and I'll get a better pic tomorrow. :)

34 weeks! dr appt and stuff

34 wk checkup
had a very good appt today (good day overall)
I've dropped .5 lb so basically no weight gain in 6 weeks at the drs office. so very odd for me in the 3rd tri! baby measures at 34 cm so that's perfect, h/b was nice and strong (she was also objecting to being pushed around while listening for it). BP 130/61 today, so very good. and she guesstimated baby at just under or up to 5 lbs right now, which is right on target for average size. (she'd said "well its not in the small range, but definitely not in the big range" and I said I wasn't the least bit worried about 'small' cause my babies don't grow small.)
told her about the BP issues and she said things look great right now, no swelling, no protein spilling over, so to just keep an eye on it and let them know if I have more problems.
I go back on the 18th for my last 2 week check then I'm on weeklies after that! I've got my appts set up til march 31st for now.

after leaving there, went ahead and preregistered at the hospital. while there, someone had a baby cause they played the lullaby over the intercom. plus when I was leaving, a mom was being escorted out with her new baby. nothing like being surrounded by newborness to get hormones going.

ate at Arby's afterwards (dang I was hungry!), then stopped at their goodwill to check on a swing. they did have two open tops ones, but I didn't like either one. (plus one was $30! :P ) I also found a Fluerville diaper bag while there, but again, they wanted $30 on the thing, so no thank you. (I wasn't impressed with it anyway).

on the way back home stopped at cares to check for a swing, which didn't find one, but DID find G a toddler bed! its a cute wooden one like I wanted too and only paid $16 with tax for it, which is cheaper than what dh could build it for. I'll get pics later. its already in the boys room, but need to get a sheet put on it (came with the mattress even).

oh, the adventurous time of the day: before we left, K trimmed Gavin's hair!!!!! this was me when I walked in the bathroom
omgosh, it looked like the short wave hit his bangs! LOL!! I had to fix it a bit so it didn't look *as* bad before we left, but I've still got to trim it up all over now. he did need a cut, but not like that! LMBO! and yes, I got pics.

Monday, March 03, 2008

been working on some cleaning. lots of clothes washing to do of course as usual on a monday. got that load of baby clothes washed up that was given to me. cant get them all put up though til after G gets up cause the tub for the bigger clothes is in K's closet.
I also started sticking stuff in my hospital bag. nothing major of course, just stuck in Sarina's coming home clothes and her blanket and a pair of nursing pads. I am making a list of what I need though cause dang if my mind aint blank!  I probably wont get it fully packed til the end of the month though. no reason til then anyway! it at least got the stuff off my desk. nothing like storing everything where I want to work on stuff. LOL!

my belly button has fully popped now. it actually did like last week I think. right on time.

Friday, February 29, 2008

I didnt sleep next to nothing last night. got so aggravated with that. I slept maybe 4 hours. *grrrr* just couldnt get comfy and my brain wouldn't shut down.
we got up at 7 to get ready to leave for Nashville. the funny thing was gavin. he was so excited (really? excited about going to the eye dr?) he was up and dressed when C got up and had his coat on and game boy in hand to walk out the door before dh and I even got up!!!
the drive down was fine. love having dh do the driving for nashville!
so the bottom line is that his vision is great in both eyes and glasses will not do any more to correct the straightness of his eyes. so he'll be having surgery on May 9th at 12:45. he'll have a pre op appt the Tuesday before and a post op appt the Tuesday after. he doesnt really understand exactly what's going to happen yet. he did ask if he gets to wear the white hospital gown.
they'll be tightening the muscles on the outside of each eye since they tightened up both eyes on the inside when he was 13 months old. no eye patches or glasses will be needed afterwards.
I had hoped to get it done before baby came, but the only opening was for monday and there was no way we could get everything done before then. oh well.

we ate at Olive Garden finally around 1 or 2. (first time we'd eaten anything today!) I'm still stuffed! no room in the tummy I tell ya and all I had was soup and salad. :P

then we headed home to our own town. (dang, I'm so tired!) I got to stop by my SIL's parents and pick up a few bags of baby girl clothes that they were given. all but about 4 pcs are 12-18m and up though, so it'll be for this coming winter or next summer.
that's the first stuff I've been given though, so it was exciting to go through it all!

have had some episodes of feeling awful today. hasnt been as bad as yesterday though, thank goodness. mostly I'm just dang tired. LOL!

K went to stay the night with a friend, so its just the boys tonight! dh has to work saturday and sunday. *pout* and I'll have to go to town tomorrow for banking and groceries since we didnt get any of that done today. bleh. at least C will be with me to help.

Thursday, February 28, 2008

not much planned for the day. C is back in school. (can I say my oldest is a priss???) he's so stressed about his clothes these days! omgosh! I wasnt this bad!! he wanted to dress up to go to mcds last night cause "there might be girls there" and then today, he had on a nice pair of cargo khaki pants with his tee, but he changed last minute cause he said they "made him look like he had stick legs with a big head"  geez!!! the only reason why he didnt wear them is cause he's used to wearing his old jeans. he has like 3 pair that he switches between all week.  I'm going to have to have a talk about "if you look like you only have 3 pair of pants..." good grief.
I told him last night I was goign to start calling him John after my brother. he used to drive everyone NUTS with his compulsion to have himself look PERFECT! oh gosh, the stories I could tell! LOL!!

let's see, my complaint of the day so far? if anyone plans on calling someone at 6:30 in the morning, make sure you have the RIGHT number!!!! I got a call this morning asking for Hilda! sheesh.

and um, no , I'm not actually grouchy today. :)

Sunday, February 24, 2008

and in baby news

oh, baby girl has been making a lot of pressure on my pelvis the past couple of days, plus is either getting longer or just stretching out more so that my tummy is getting some not so lovely attention. I've started having reflux (indigestion??) and that's nasty!  its worse when I drink a lot of course, but man, I had to drink a ton last night cause it burned my throat so much.
I've also been peeing like a raincloud too! ah, the joys of 'just went to pee, now I have to tinkle'.

today

in other good news, got a big bill paid off today!! I'm so glad to be rid of it! that'll save us like $180 a month cause I'm always late on the stupid thing because of how it falls in the month.  so now we say "hey hey hey: goodbye!!!"
dh has to get new tires for this ford soon, so we'll be working on those. (yes, the refund is gone now. *pout*) but we took care of our property taxes, one CC type bill and my new laptop *giggle*. still $200 leftover to go towards his tires though, so it'll help. amazing how fast $ can go adios!

I'm getting back on track with dave ramsey though. with the holidays it was hard to do anything besides stay afloat, but things will pick up now and plus it helps having one of our big bills paid off. so time to start cracking the whip again and take care of this crap!

its been fun playing with this thing. I'm at moms where I can get high speed with the wireless router even!  been able to DL all the stuff I need and get updates for my other programs asap! awesome!!
the kids are still itching to get their hands on it
still working out the logisticss of where to set stuff up at home (w/ the printer and all that stuff) but that's cool!
and while at walmart today we passed by their laptops and they had the kissing cousin to my puter. C says 'there's yours mom' to which I said 'nope, I got mine for $50 less and I have another gig of memory. " so awesome deal!

dh is still working so we're just hanging out here.

today has been a bad pelvic day. walking walmart was hard! slow, very slow going there. have had a ton of BH today and lots of pelvic pressure and pain. :P sleeping is getting hard to do cause my hips hurt so much after laying on them, but I cant lay on my back of course. bleh.

ok, I've got some BIG news!!! I'm SO excited and feel so special!!!
I got a real birthday present tonight!!
dh went with me and I got my first laptop!!!!! I'm so freaking/stinking tickled pink!! wow oh wow!
I'm still working on getting it set up to have all the stuff I need, but I got my OL access installed at least and my favs, so can work from there. and tomorrow I'll go over to my moms and finish installing the other stuff since I can pick up her wifi connection there. this will be SO cool!!!!
getting a pic of what I got to share with ya'll.
dh is so good to me, I tell ya! just a love bug!

its a compaq (which I know is by HP, but still never thought I'd own one LOL) and was on special. I didnt want to go expensive at all, but didnt want to skimp on stuff I knew I'd want/need and this one had great reviews on it!
the kids are excited of course cause they think they can be on the desktop anytime they want now. LOL!
I do have to work on figuring some stuff out, like how do you keep from making the touchpad mouse scroll a page while you're typing??? LOL!!! I got a wireless mouse to use with it since I'm so used to that (adn its PINK! LMBO).
so I'm feeling the love tonight!

ramble ramble

how's this for a rambling post...

I got the travel swing put together today and feel like a dufus! when I stored it back last year, I didnt take the batteries out!!!! so not sure if it'll even work or not now.  gotta get me some C batteries (or charge up what I have) and see if it'll move for me. I cleaned up the leads as well as I could, but one of the springs (that push against the batteries) broke cause of the corrosion. *sigh* there's still a small piece of spring there, but not the full size. so we'll see. what a duh moment! (and I couldnt blame it on pg brain cause I wasnt pg at the time! :P)

C goes back to school tomorrow (yay! LOL!!) never thought I'd be one of those to do that, but man oh man, does he like picking. and between him and Hunter its like WWE all the time! *grrrr*
C still has a bit of a cough (did I mention he had been under the weather from thursday afternoon til sunday morning?). he always coughs when he gets any kind of sicky though, so that's what he's dealing with now.

G has little red cheeks, they look like they're chapped, but he's not been outside in the cold today.  course it could be from playing too. he's not been ill, though he has refluxed 3 times tonight after dinner, which is something that he very rarely every does anymore.

been big time windy here today (finally its settled down). had to send the kids out to pick up the trash from the yard cause it was trash day and of course with the trash truck coming through, it got all kinds of stuff all over the yard. :P

in baby news:
I had a couple small pieces of mucous plug to show up this morning. nothing major, just noticeable to me. nothing to worry about obviously, just enough to make me glad that I go in tomorrow and will know what exactly is going on up there.

I feel like I clean clean and clean some more around here. been forever since my house was this clean I think.  in fact, I've got the urge to grab a bottle of windex right now. (resisting that urge!) I think dh will be so sad once all this nesting phase has passed.
course I've not had a "cooking phase" to hit at all, so maybe he will be happy if I switch out!

oh, I'm also planning on getting some highlights put in my hair, hopefully by this weekend! my bday gift to me!

hey, lookit my ticker! I'm under 60 days now!
baby girl has been doing a LOT of stretching out on me lately. pushing out both sides on me. makes for a lot of *ack* moments!
dont know if I mentioned in here, but she head butted my cervix yesterday while at walmart and my eyes about bugged out!
C is off school tomorrow (but dh is working). we'll just hang at home since its going to be cold. we did get our St. refund in so I'll be going to pay off our property taxes on tuesday (*pout*) and my dr appt is that day, plus my bday!
I'm going to ask for a cervical check at my appt just so I know what's going on in there. I know the bottom of my cervix is open (I think up to 2.5cm now) so I want to know what the top of my cervix is doing, JIC.
I had more cramps start up last night for a while and I think that's what got me the next .5cm. :P

um, did I mention I found a PINK Bobby bouncy seat for $11 at the consignment store friday? its all cleaned up. I also pulled out the travel swing from the garage and will get it cleaned up tomorrow I guess.

dh got in a bit early tonight, so we decided to go for pizza. they charged us for our salads tonight so our ticket was outrageous. (usually they let the salads go free and even comp a couple drinks for us since we're in there so often). but dh is going out of town in the morning and wont be back home til saturday, so that's our eating out for the rest of the week I suppose (no captain ds tomorrow night).
I stopped and got him a bag of Vday M&Ms to take with him (since I'd not gotten him anything ya know) and paid for C to get his little $1 pink bear in a Vday bag for his g/f he'd been wanting. ah, young "love". LOL!
dh brought home a pot of tulips for me tonight! he hid them on the bathroom counter (he always puts things somewhere so I 'find it'). I'm SO pleased with him this time! I always ask that if he gets me flowers, to make them plantable, not cut flowers, that way I can put them out in the yard and they can come back year after year. he did good this time!! (normally he forgets that part).
so I have red tulips to put out in my flower bed later on!
didnt get company today cause of the weather, but she's supposed to come out tomorrow (since its supposed to be 50*), so we'll see.

busy day

so mom called this morning to tell me papaw would be stopping over around 10 to pick the kids up and bring them to their house.  that was great cause I wouldnt have to worry about stressing with them at the tax office.
C wanted to go with me, so I let him. I wanted help anyway since I needed to pick up some heavy items at the stores and JIC I started feeling bad while out.

got there on time and spent probably an hour there, maybe more.  Mrs. Kay loves taking her time with her clients and we yakked about almost everything and C got to hold her mini poodle, Trouble, while there. (I got a pic on my phone I'll post later).
we're getting back a very nice refund! a little less than last year since dh got more overtime in '07, but is only a few hundred $ difference, so no biggie.
that'll be going to pay off our property taxes and two CC bills that are late every month. (*grumble complain gripe!*). so I'll be a very happy camper! doesnt look like I'll get a laptop out of the deal. oh well. I'd rather have this crap paid off!

after leaving there, we stopped at the goodwill. I wanted to see if they had a baby swing, but they didnt. then we hit the donut shop!!! I got my creme filled donut and C got one called a chocolate chip and we shared a creme horn.
then off to hobby lobby. I wanted to see if they had any book binding tape and they didnt!  imagine that!
so then off to eat finally! (you know, real food) and I took C to ruby tuesdays. (dang if I'd forgotten how ridiculously expensive they are!!!!! should have gone to TGIF!) I got this smokehouse cheeseburger and C got 2 mini burgers w/ the salad bar. we both got drinks (should have gotten water!) and I spent $23!!  that's the last time for a long time! it was good though and we had food to bring home since C coudlnt finish his burgers and neither of us could finish the fries. (H and G enjoyed them later)

then off to Sams. when we pulled in, he thought he seen my sis' car, so called her and sure enough, they were in there! so we met them and they walked with us around the store while we got what we needed. (I'm stocked back up on Nesquick and grape tomatoes!)

after leaving there, headed back to our town and stopped at food lion. got my diapers, catfood, cat litter and totally forgot to get any teabags! will HAVE to do that tomorrow cause we only have 2 bags left! (we drink at least a gallon a day, 2 if dh is home all day-which he'll be tomorrow).
then stopped at dollar market to get the kids cokes (a case for $3.50!) then stopped at my brothers ILs house so C could borrow a couple of games from his cousin. found that my nephew, landon, and SIL, tasha, both have the flu!  T wasnt there, but L was (looking so pitiful) but I stayed clear of him and we didnt stay long.
finally back to the house where we stopped long enough to pick up my flash drive so I could get a few things at moms (DSL!) and then to moms.

the kids and I got home around...5? I think. I'm STILL not hungry!  I fixed dh some fresh shrimp, mac/cheese, a left over crab cake and rice ball and some fried taters w/ carrots and onions for dinner. the kids had soups and stuff. I had a glass of tea. LOL!!

not sure if we're going to church in the morning. G had a low grade fever tonight (about 100*). gave him some tylenol before bed. not sure what's up with him though, so will have to see how he's doing in the morning. if we stay home, I may get the changing table out to the garage so I can paint it.

finally an update!

long time no update, sorry!
my puter got fried last week from storms that came through and it took me a few days to get the part and the boys computer I was using was not user friendly. :) now our connection is really crappy cause of all the wetness around here from the weather, so I'm getting nothing big done online.

funny stuff: Garrett decided to try and stick his head in the kitty's house and almost got his head stuck!  I got a pic the 2nd time he tried.

then~
while we were in the last 2 minutes of the game tonight, he decided to to the streak thing and go without his diaper. LOL! I didnt want to miss the game, so I was letting him run free. well, he went into the bathroom during this time and after a few seconds I went in after him (he LOVES playing in the potty). so I go in and he's standing in front of the potty, then looks under the front of the potty and points to where a good sized wet spot is!!!! he'd tried peeing in the potty, but was about 4" too short to get his bird over the rim!!!! ROFLOL! who'd have thunk it!!
he was so excited afterwards that while I was holding him and telling everyone in here, he popped me in the nose! dang that hurt!

Go Giants!!! so it finally got exciting and had a good ending!
dh and the kids and my mom all got here about the same time, right before 4th quarter started, so I had some fun people to watch the rest with. :-D
