finally able to sit again. had my dr appt this morning!
my stats go as follows: BP 115/64 (nurse was saying "that's kinda low, so if you feel light-headed...." to which I told her its actually kinda high for me.). heartrate was 105 (which is high, guess I'm running faster than norm this pg) and weight is up 5 lbs. so that's a 10 lb gain total so far. geez, no wonder I feel huge.
I got my blood work done. easy schmeasy, though I did ask if she needed a dozen vials.
got my next appt set up! Nov. 29 at 9:45 I'll get to see Itty Bitty!!
the dr. today was searching for IB and finally found them way down low hanging out. well, he kept getting two different h/b sounds! 
but they were close together (as in only about 2" apart) and he kept going back and forth between them with a funny look on his face. I said "need to pull out the u/s machine?" he laughed and said "nah, I'm not worried." (well poot!) I told my mom that and she was like "oh Lord, I dont know how I'd handle two!" ( I think that'd be me. LOL)
after that, stopped and finally got dh's car inspected and got his real tags, stopped for lunch and then back to moms. tried to take a nap as I was pooped at that point, but no go cause the kids kept waking me up for mundane things and then G woke up.
once we were back home, I started cleaning up the kitchen, mainly the floor, then got vacuuming done and finally the kids bathroom (double yuck ).
I think we'll just have soup/sandwiches tonight. dh said that's what he wants all next week to help with losing some of the weight he gained while out of town (they tend to eat out a lot) so I'll just start a bit early.
its been a good day. we got some much needed rain again! but its supposed to trail out til a small chance this weekend.
mom took gavin, H and K with her today so it was just C, G and I to the dr.
uneventful appt. everything looks good. he toddled around the waiting room and exam room, impressing the dr. then showed his silliness by crawling into the wall and repeatedly bopping his head.
the funniest thing was him discovering the dr's chair. oooooooooooooo! it moves! he'd been having a great time pushing it around the room until the dr came in and sat on it.
he walked to me for some 'shy time' (which lasted about 30 seconds) then he walked over to the chair, plopped down and started pushing her around! 
it freaked her out (he shook her back and forth about 2 inches both ways several times. she's not a small woman either, about 6' and not thinly built). she exclaimed he was a 'strong boy!' and then planted her feet really well to keep him from moving her.
... which really ticked him off and set him off hollering and turning red trying to move the chair again. she asked if he was trying to poop! LMBO!!! (funny how that got her an 'are you nuts, cant you tell I'm mad' kind of look from G )
he only got 2 vacs. we passed on the Hep A, didnt see the need.
she said he's doing great with his vocab (he says Mama, Dada, Bubba, Kiki, UhOh and Awwwwwwww and today started saying Gone) and he recognizes people/words but doesnt point, but will look at the person/thing you mention (like the kitty, ball, mama, turns when you say his name, etc.)
his stats are 32 1/2" long, 23.7 lbs and 18.5" head. (height over 95%, weight 60ish%) I'm thinking their scales are a bit off though. he'll be seeing a local dr next week and I'll see what they weigh him at and will do an average of both weights to log in his baby book for his official one year weight (I'm so anal about correct numbers LOL!). I just dont see that he's the lightest of all 5 kids (by over a pound). plus the last time we were there, they put him on the scales twice and got two different readings (its a digital scale), and there was about a 2 lb difference between their scales and the ones at the local dr. so we'll see what the difference is in that. of course he feels like 50 lbs when carrying.
I had to take back one of his 24m birthday outfits to walmart today. it had no growing room at all! and of course the 24m was the biggest size they sold in that style :( (a baseball outfit), so I found some snack bowls and will hold the rest to put towards the new stroller I'm still searching for! (unless I find something else he needs before then. hehe)
speaking of the climbing monkey, I'm going to have to lower his bed all the way down. the crib has about 7 levels and I put it down to like 2 up from the bottom back when I first lowered the mattress. well, when I got him the other morning, he was trying his darndest to hold on to the rail in the corner and push up with his feet on the adjoining corner rails to get up and over! he had some of his upper body up on the railing when I walked in! its either that or make him wear socks to bed so he cant get traction!
C had award presentations tonight after the last tourney game.
he got picked for All Stars again! and the best news is that it'll be held in the next town (basically a local tourney) so no big driving or hotel fees!! WOO!!) but the 'bleh' news is all the dang practices. starting tomorrow its every day (maybe not sunday, I hope) for at least 2 hrs each day, if not more. dh can at least bring him home, but I'll have to drop him off. their first games will be July 8, 9, 10, 11.
C was very glad to be picked for it again, he was the 3rd pick out of 13!
another neat thing, checking out babycenter/parentcenter growth predictor tools, it estimated the kids at the following at 18 years of age:
Canaan 6'4"
Katlyn 5'9"
Gavin 6'0"
Hunter 6'3"
and estimating Garrett to grow at Katlyn's height (since he seems to be following her growth most closely) it estimated him at 6'4" as well. course that's all a wait and see thing, but neat to think about. good thing I'm good at saving $ at the grocery store!!
and it also estimated Gavin, Katlyn and Canaan an inch taller than the last time I plugged in the numbers. Wonder if that's after a growth spurt or what.
sorry, I've missed some updates, so here are a few dated ones:10-18-06do want to post a funny I keep forgetting to tell about. G2 gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited when its eating time (nursing). he's kicking, squirming. grabbing at everything in front of him (namely my shirt/bra/boobs/etc 
) and snorting, puffing, grunting like a little wild pig! 
cracks me up every time!! 
.............................its been a good day, just gorgeous outside! course tomorrow will be back to the norm. *boo!* my mom watched the kids while I took Garrett and Canaan for their checks. we stopped at BK beforehand for lunch.
G showed off his raspberry skills to the staff there. constantly! everybody got a good pppppppbbbbbbbbbbtttt!!!!! LOL!! the nurse had to chase his head down 5 times to get his measure and he totally destroyed the crinkly paper on the table cause he loved the sound it made so much! when the dr was trying to check his lungs from the back, she was holding him and he was going everywhere! she said "boy, he doesnt like to be still, does he?"
he was very ticked off at his 4 shots, but quickly calmed when he started being fed again. (I think he was more upset at being interupted while eating LOL)
Canaan did well too. he had to get 2 shots today cause the health dept never noted on his shot record if he got his last MMR, so he got that and his tetnus booster.
Canaan is 129 lbs and 5'2" (only 3" shorter than me now! *eek!!*). she said he's perfectly proportioned in weight/height. 
he's over the 97% in both, just as he's always been. at least he's consistent. 
the dr liked that he was able to answer all the questions readily, like give lists of subjects he likes and stuff. he even told her how I limit their tv and video game time. she's positive that he'll out grow me during this year as well. *sniff* I used to joke that he'd do it at 10 yrs old, so I wasn't off but a year. still...*double sniff!*
Garrett the wiggly worm was 17.15 lbs (just couldnt break that 18 mark ) and 27", HC is 17". he's got a small head for his size. hopefully it'll all even up for him later. LOL! said he looks perfect and definitely had no mobility problems
after the dr, I took us through McDs to get C a milkshake and me a cone as a treat. and we took the backroads home cause as we came down, seen the interstate was backed up more than 4 miles due to repaving. so we went backroads and hit the city park in Springfield. awesome place! they have like 200 ducks there! LOL! great play equipment too. and yes, I got pics! hehe! we stayed there for probably an hour and a half, then headed to my moms where we stayed til about 6 or after.
the kids had played outside and been down to the creek with my mom too.
we had leftovers/hot dogs and soups for dinner. good thing cause I had no feeling to cook at all! we watched the playoffs again and CSI.
Garrett was fussy getting down (its taken me forever to get this done!) but hopefully he'll do well tonight. I know his legs are tender, but I gave him some more tylenol before bed.all pics here are clickable to make them larger.

10-19-06I was going to comment that his spitting up had greatly improved since the beginning of the month, which it has, but of course since yesterday he's spit up all over the place. 
LOL! figures! oh well.
watching him 'airplane' on the floor now and push himself backwards. Canaan thinks the airplaning is funny cause he thinks he's like superman.
kids are in bed, K is staying w/ her friend Dana. dh and C leave out for the weekend early in the morning, so just me and the youngest 3 tomorrow. eek! lol!it'll be interesting, but ok. still not decided if I'll stay at my moms sat. night yet. would make getting to church easier.GC had his 2 week appt today! he did great, though he didn't like the naked times as expected. lol!
he's now 8.3 1/2 lbs, 22", head is 14 1/2". dr said he's a 'perfect baby', doing all he should just like he should. everything looked great. he'll go back at 2 months and will start his immunizations then.
I do have pics from today, first time I remembered to take a cam w/ me. C and K had a great time at the rainforest cafe tonight. C tried to get out of going, but we wouldn't let him, and he's glad he went!
I let them take their camera, but K forgot to take it in.GC got his first booboos tonight too. I'd dug out the ol' bouncy seat from under the boys bed and cleaned it up for him. didn't figure he'd actually care for it though, since he's not big in his swing yet,or laying down when not tired. he does like it though, was able to put him in it twice and get some stuff done. well, the 2nd time I was putting some other crib toys in his bed while he was in it. he started fussing and cassie came over to check him out (the calico), and she smacked his hand that he was waving around. so he's got 5 little scratches on his right hand. cassie has been evicted of course.ok, thats taken @ an hour, gotta change another poopy!
