so I was one of the nuts out at 5 this morning. 
actually, I woke up to pee at 5 and it started my brain to thinking "gee, if I dont at least TRY to get some good deals, I'll be upset with myself." so I was in the next city by 6. yeah, I knew I said I'd not go. like I said, I'm a NUT! LOL!
so I swung by TRU cause they had a $10 MP3 player I wanted to check out. no luck of course and the lines were CRAZY. seriously, every single checkout line was backed up all the way to the back of the store! needless to say I didnt buy anything from there!
so then I went to best buy. I wanted that Nintendo DS bundle pack. when I got there I had to wait in line to get in! there were only about 25 people waiting, but they'd only let them in a few at a time as some people left the store. it wasnt so bad, I think I waited like 10 minutes.
so I get in the store to find out the bundle packs are a ticketed item and there were no tickets left, of course (this at 6:20 am), so I just got K a pink DS and we'll get games as we can and when dh gets his bonus. also went ahead and got another MP3 player, just like the black one I got C last week, only this one is red, for $35! (wish I'd known for sure they'd have it today or I'd have waited.) so I got that one for Gavin and will let dh take the CD player I'd originally gotten him (dh wants to take his language CDs with him while he's out of town). so Gavin will be super excited about that and I wont have to burn off CDs all the time. got 2 yr coverage on both items there.
after that, headed back to my town, stopped at hardees for breakfast and then to walmart. it was after 7 by now (yeah, got through best buy really quick, even checkout!) and walmart was a breeze! course they didnt have the transformers I was hoping to scope out, but did get a DS protector pack for K's gift (screen protectors, etc. for $7), a new DUO card for C's PSP for $20 and some stocking stuffers for the kids and found they had Corelle on sale for $17! so I bought a box of that that goes well with the one 4 pc set I already have. (I also have a set of stoneware, but its history now, read on).
so finally headed home after waiting for the bank to open at 8:30. I was SO tired, but I've not napped today and am quickly heading to bed in a bit LOL!
so after I get home, dh and C head in to town cause he wants to see what Lowe's has going on. he didnt find anything though and they were back later with nothing (imagine that!).
well, while they were out, FIL called to give me some $ for the month (woo!!!) so I had to go BACK in town after dh got home to put that in the bank (which worked out perfectly cause I thought I was going to have to pull out some of our extra cash to cover what I already bought today). while in town, I went ahead and got the grocery shopping done. BACK to walmart! LMBO!!! this time I spotted their robes they had on sale for $10. I got a pink one for K cause sh'es always stealing MY robes! and got some sharpies for C for a stocking stuffer cause he loves using those to draw with.
while I was there I ran into my brother and SIL, a homeschool friend, our renters and another friend. LOL! normally I dont see people I know!
I got home around 4:30 from that.
and get this, after I got home, dh realized he needed to go BACK in town to return a movie that was due today/yesterday (they werent open yesterday though). so of course he ended up renting a game for C and another movie (that man can spend a ton of $ at the movie store!). dinner was ham sandwiches for the boys and I snacked on summer sausage with cheese and wheat thins (as did Garrett).
I'm hoping tomorrow is boring! LMBO!!
G woke @ 3:15 this morning. had done gone from one end of the bed to the other and was smushed up in the corner. 
I knew he'd be ticked if I just moved him and tried to get him back to sleep, so I nursed him and he took both sides. @ half hour later I put him down, to which he started to fuss, but a bit of back patting and a paci and he was out cold...till almost 9 this morning! 
we got breakfast, dressed and stuff and headed out for some more yard sales while dh and C were in Nashville. 
found some more good stuff, children's place jeans for Garrett, a bunch of stuff to put back for Christmas (pokemon pillows, cards and movies, plushies, plus an Elmo doll and a care bear). found a skirt/shirt set for me, some tools for dh (funny me trying to explain what they looked like to him on the phone 
), and a few baby toys-one in particular for Landon that I dropped off cause it was a giraffe and tasha loves giraffes. 
met dh in town and he took the two young boys home with him and C so they'd stop being bored ( LOL) and after another sale, took K with me and Garrett to taco bell where we shared a combo and nachos (shhhhh! LOL) then stopped at my brothers to give them the toy, then on to home.
Garrett is down for a nap now and after he gets up and nurses the other side, I'll let him try some pears for a late lunch.
gotta get some laundry done and such (*yawn*) and C will be leaving in a while to go with my mom and Sdad to a singing in the next town. he loves going so he can help with the sound equipment.

had a good day today! went yard saleing as usual and found a lot of good deals. to and including 5 new church shirts for the boys (.50 each), 2 new denim capri's for me (.50 and .25 and size 10's to boot! wee!!), about 5 new shirts for me (most .50, one GAP denim button down was $1), two new pair of shoes for K, a whole bag of new socks for Garrett at a nickel each, along with one 9-12m sleeper and a couple of onesies and a pull over bib (love those for feeding!) 3 pair of baby place jeans 9-12m, and I think a couple shirts for him- all .10 each, NWT nightgown for me $1, 4 honeycomb shades for the house (gosh, I love these and have wanted some forEVER) for $1.50 each (already have them put up! hehe!), a Donkey Kong stuffed animal .25 for the boys which will be saved for Christmas , new Dave Ramsey book (Financial Peace) that I've been wanting to get but not dish out $ for ( ) $1, pair of Limited Too denim overalls for K that'll be saved for Christmas- $1, pair of Bob the Builder pj's for the boys .50, some more clothes for Garrett 12-18m think I paid $1 for those which was less than what I was quoted 
, Beauty and the Beast magical Christmas (yes, it'll be saved for C-mas LOL) $1, and I know there is more, but that's all I can think of. LOL!
we also went ahead and signed on our new insurance for the house today! not that I'm tickled about plunking out a wad of cash like that for the first installment, but its a LOT less than it could have been! so that makes me happier about it.
dh is off work tomorrow and is going to go to nashville to get the stuff he needs to fix the mailbox. heh-heh-heh. the mailbox of steel... wonder if I should paint an "S" on the side like superman? it'd also go with our last name.
Garrett is sleeping on my chest right now. kid NEEDS a nap, dang if he's not been a grouch-o-potamus today! course that's in between all the giggles, he really does have a great personality.
took the kids in town, had to mail a package and wanted to rent Xmen 3, little mermaid, new scooby movie and some kids movies for the kids. been a while since we got new releases really. 
dh has been looking forward to Xmen (as have I), so we'll watch that tonight most likely if he gets in in time.
paid another $12 on goodyear and its now down to $59.95!!!! almost there, almost there!!!! even the staff at goodyear are rooting us on now. (they're old friends).
fixed a big honkin dinner tonight: meatloaf, mashed taters, mac & cheese (homemade, not boxed), cheese peas, biscuits and fried green tomatoes. 
love it when I feel like whipping up a real dinner. LOL!!
oh, some wonderful news today, I found a new house insurance carrier!! we had actually been with them before, but they stopped carrying policies on double wides, but they've started doing so again. I didnt know til today when I called, but something (God!) had been urging me to call and check. well, we can get our insurance almost $300 cheaper with them than anywhere else has been!!! such a blessing!!! as soon as we get that first payment together we'll be goign in to fill out the paperwork! awesome!!
Garrett has been consistant in his sleeping pattern. he even went to bed earlier last night, around 9:30 and still slept to almost 5 this morning. awesome! and it was a test of the 'put yourself back to sleep' cause he was restless when I put him back down. a couple of times of patting him softly on the back though and he was out again. yay garrett! still working on getting ME back to sleep afterwards though. sheesh!!
found some more great deals today. among them are a hand grater and rolling slicer (kitchen items), a jumpstart 5th grade for PC, big picnic basket, a babyfood lazy susan, books, pencils and ruler for the kids, a big Coca-Cola tin tub for my step dad, a 'grill seargent' tee for dh , and one shirt for G2. spent $5 today. 
found one sale w/ a bunch of cool items (and great maternity stuff) but she thought she was a Target instead of a yard sale. for instance, seen a half box (@20) avent nursing pads for $5. duh!! I can buy a box of 100 from TRU for $10. 
got to stop and see my brother and nephew again. Landons getting so cute! he's long and lean. I think he's a smidge longer than G2, but G2 is chunkier. and the coolest thing is landon can already roll back to tummy! (remember he's 2 weeks older than G2). course he gets royally ticked once he's on his belly!
G2 on the opposite side, will push himself from one end of a blanket to the other, but get quickly bored and mad on his back! silly boys.
got a call from a friend back home and when we go to roberts class reunion on labor day weekend, we'll stop in to see them and she's going to give me the walker she had for her son (just turned a year). she said its really nice too, plus I'll get to go through some baby clothes! cool! so now no worries about looking for an exersaucer!
dh and Canaan are still at the tractor pull. I dont expect them home til around midnight. dont guess C will be going to church with us in the morning, guess I'll let him off the hook this time. I'll hear allllllllllllllllllllll about the pull tomorrow.
good yard sale vibes! I was able to find G2 5 new 6-9m sleepers today! most are gerber, but a couple carters. the carters run longer, so he'll get to wear them much longer. the 6-9m gerbers should at least last til the end of september at his current rate.
also found one 2pc shorts set for him 6m size, some cuuuuuuute velcro on crib shoes, a bunch more bibs and burp towels (considering how many we go thru). got me a new fall shirt, a big box of curity nursing pads, big bags of toddler/baby spoons, cookie cutter and a lot of other kitchen gadgets, blues clues shirt for the boys (a 'steve' shirt), a new winter coat for K and a nice dress shirt for her. a beautiful spiderman button down I'm saving for C's bday next month...and I think thats it. I spent about $10 in all.
could have gotten an awesome exersaucer for $8, but just dont have the room or the want for one yet. I wish I could find a used bumbo! sure that wont happen in this area tho.
dh is working in the pits at our local tractor pull tomorrow, so I may go in town again to see the saturday sales. nuttin else to do otherwise. :P
I made mexican for dinner, and my gosh am I stuffed!!! plenty of leftovers for tomorrow too! cool!
lets see, thursday I took all the kids to walmart for the first time by myself to get the shopping done. it went well actually. with the new stroller, I put G2s carseat in there and both young boys were in the cart. (gavin sorts my foods for me in the back ). we made it though and I was proud of myself!
also took everyone to lunch in town that day. we have a new eatery that on tues and thurs has a $2 burger and fries deal. it was good! handpatted 1/3 lb burgers with a full plate of fries, awesome deal! fed everyone for $11 (G and H share a burger and we had to pay for cheese ).
last night was canaan's last ball game. finally! Im so glad. they lost of course so I think he's ready to be done and get over this losing streak they've been in.
today was yard sale day! found a lot of yard sales and some good deals. got some new shirts for me (nothing over $1), a johnny jumper for G2 when he's older $3, some clothes for the 3 youngest (nothing over .50), carter's baby blanket that matches the carters onesies G2 has for .25, a box of johnson's disposable washcloths .10, little tykes tow truck .50, pokemon movie .25, a baseball light (saving for canaan's birthday) .50, spongebob tenni shoes for G 1.00, and K got some clothes from mom and I and she got to pick out a new MyScene barbie for $1 (even had clothes on LOL). so good shopping day! I know there were other things, but thats' the best.
canaan stayed home today to wait on papaw cause he went to the tractor pull with him today in chapel hill. he's not home yet, figure he'll be in before midnight.
katlyn was picked up about 7 tonight to go stay with her friend dana for her bday.
dh is off work tomorrow so not sure what we'll be doing. may hit the saturday yard sales.
still trying to hit more journals, I know I've not gotten to a lot.

Fridays wear me out! we had some good finds today though! my mom got me some new shirts for $1 each at the last yard sale we stopped at! that just tickles me cause I've only got about 3 shirts that fit nicely (short sleeved), everything else is very very baggy on me. I dont wanna look bigger than I am! LOL! pics of the new shirts are in the flickr stream!got a lot more things I didnt take pics of. found 5 new shirts for K and one short outfit (.50 each), 2 shirts for C (.25 each), a new swimming mask for the kids (.25), shorts for K (.25), 4 power ranger motorcycles and a fire engine for the young boys (.50 each), burp towel for baby w/ frogs and turtles on it (.25), a Barbie Pegasus horse for K (.50) and a water babies Pooh outfit for K-she found a tigger outfit last week ;) (.25)... hmmm, I guess that's about it. probably something I missed. getting stuff washed up now so I can wear my new shirts this weekend! ^_^
we had lunch at McDs with Papaw on his lunch break so the kids loved that. then when we were done yard saling, we went to walmart. that place just wears me out!
while there the Toyota dealer called and said they'd gotten in an 8 seater Sienna, so I'm going to try to go up and check it out tomorrow while mom watches the kids. probably wont be able to get it at this point, but I can drive it to see how I like it and the seating arrangements on it. (and dream and wish LOL! )
and mom agreed that I should get my bag packed. LOl!
