CANAAN'S BAND MADE IT!!!!!!!! so proud of them! they were even first on the "made it" list. now for even bigger butterflies to start hounding them!  the talent show is April 3rd. dh is even taking that day off.

my arm has been feeling much better today! i was even able to hold S w/ my right arm to nurse yesterday and today! it still has a numb type feeling and my elbow is getting sharp pains, but overall its good!

speaking of S, she is nearly running! she goes at a very fast walk when she wants, usually w/o falling. she'll be running by her birthday

I got stripes sewn on 5 sashes today. I'm going to ask for more credit doing any stripes from now on. they're just as much work as doing a whole plain sash! took me about 3.5 hrs to get those 5 done.

i hit my first yard sale of the season today! found a couple things for S. was going to get the boys a couple of action figures, but they started showing their tails so i put them back. I'm not rewarding them for acting ugly.

  I've been stressed this week cause the property taxes on FILs house were due. thing is, I swear I paid them back in the fall before any penalties incurred. only i cant find my receipts ANYWHERE. i cant even find the original postcard w/ the statement and i ALWAYS keep those for taxes.  so FIL had to pay $917 today. *sigh* I'm still looking for the reciept, i just KNOW i paid them.

I've been spoiled the last few mornings with S sleeping in so well. gosh, its goign to break my heart when she has a bad night.
our weather was GORGEOUS today I love this weather!
tomorrow is my next chiro appt plus I need to make a stop at hobby lobby and the mighty dollar.
thursday after school, C's band is trying out for the talent show. I plan on going, hoping my mom can go with me to wrangle kids. they're playing "Gotta Be Somebody" by nickelback. wish them luck!
Gavin had a 'bad' day cause some twerp kid stole both of his backugan's out of his backpack. I could tell he was upset when he got in the truck today and when I asked him what was wrong he broke down crying. my poor little man, having to learn that not everyone is nice.
K and H both had upset tummies today. ugh, i do not want another bug in the house!

no fix up today *boo* but a game plan.

got to go over my xrays tonight. i have a compressed nerve at my c-6, which is causing my arm pain. also dont have enough curve to my neck which egged it on. will start sessions to fix both, hopefully tomorrow if tori is free.
2 numb fingers, a numb spot on my upper arm and palm and still shooting pain thru my rt arm from shoulder to forearm. spasms started up again yesterday. :P it sucks
doc said I'm a relative easy fix tho, so good news

  Sarinahas worked up to 50% walking now. you know how they progressively do more walking when they learn. she's liable to be 90% by end of week. she even carries things and dances while walking

I couldnt get on yesterday I hurt way too bad most of the time and the other I was holding onto an ice pack.
I woke to some serious muscle spasms that covered my whole right shoulder and all the way down my right arm. hurt like a MOFO! I even called my dad, wanting to ask him to come down and stay with me a couple days. he did talk on the phone with me a couple hours til I started feeling better.
seemed like it took forever til it was time for my chiro appt.
I got both sides of my neck adjusted and my whole spine. boy, did that feel good!
so I sat on ice the rest of the day/night. I got up at 3:30 this morning to feed S. the spasms had started up again (I'd already been awake at 3). at 4 a.m. I called robert in tears asking which meds he'd taken for his muscle spasms when he injured his knee.
so I've had one percocet today (one, cut in half so that I had two doses a few hours apart). when the spasms start up now they cover the whole right side of my back/shoulder and work down my right arm. 
right now its just that nerve pain that shoots down my arm, so I thought I'd get on and update.
I have another appt tomorrow morning, but am still working to find a baby sitter.  I really hope I get to go cause I want to get adjusted again along with the therapy. this stuff is awful!! hard to believe its from sleeping on my side. :P
my xrays came back ok except for a couple of compressed nerves, but no serious damage.
I do feel like a big ol' baby though! the bad thing is labor techniques dont work on this pain cause it doesnt ebb off. LOL I sure tried though.
I asked K to stay home with me today, partly from taking the pain meds this morning and also cause I just need help doing regular stuff around the house since my rt arm doenst have teh strength it normally does. sucks and I hated to do it, but I needed help and no one else was available.
so that's my whiney post for the day.
I'm doing a lot of sitting with an ice pack, some icy hot and a remote in my hand. still in my pjs and I need to get dressed. ugh. so much I need to do and I cant get it done. :P

DH has been in all weekend and we've been enjoying that! he's going back to AL this week in the hopes they can finish up finally. seems like I say that every week, but he thinks it should actually be done now. that'd be nice!

  Saturday we got a babysitter, K stayed with her friend friday night til today, C went to his friends for band practice Saturday and dh and I went on a bday date!
we went to see the movie Taken. well, dh got to watch all of it, I got to see parts and pieces cause S went with us and she got all fidgety on me. :P I think it was a good movie though from what I seen, something to really make you think too (the plot behind it, not the action scenes)

Sarina has been sleeping like crap the last few nights. her two top front teeth are giving her crap I believe. she has a little runny nose to go with it. so she's up about every 2 hours all night. I keep having to lay her down to go back to sleep. she has quit taking a paci, wont suck her thumb either, so I'm trying to teach her how to comfort herself, either with a soft toy or something. so I've been one very tired mommy. took a nap today, finally (2 or 3 hours, cant remember) and hope to sleep tonight. here's hoping!
my shoulder is messed up again though cause I slept in K's bed while she was gone to be closer to S. my whole right shoulder area hurts. dh has popped my back for me several times and it helps for a bit, but then hurts again. sitting here is very uncomfortable even. it sucks! I guess I'll call the chiro tomorrow to see if I can get in.

oh and thanks for the hair love! I'm getting used to it again. been a long time since I had a perm, but I love them! this one is much more loose than my usual ones.
on a good note, I've had several comments this weekend as to how young I look! one lady today thought S was my only baby (we were in the nursery and she was visiting) and never thought I'd have a kid as old as C. makes me feel good!

sorry if I'm not caught up with everyone, tons of stuff to do here. still working on getting the last of the sashes done up before graduation at the dojo too. C signed up for baseball saturday as well adn we're waiting to hear if he made it on the high school team (he tried out for the 2 spots open).
he'll be having band practice M-W-F til the talent show in March (they'll be playing "Gotta Be Somebody" by Nickelback) along with our regular kung fu schedule. plus all the stuff I'm wanting to get done around here. I've got a list made out and I plan on getting it done! *note to self-quit slacking!*

today seems to be big for Sarina! besides pointing (which I read G didnt do til 1 yr) she started taking off from the couch on her own tonite! laughing like a nut the whole time, she'd take off and go 3-4 steps before squatting down to a crawl. it was so cute and the kids were so excited! she even stood up in the middle of the floor once!!
i told dh she may be walking before he gets home!

I went to pay off one of those bills today to find I didnt have any checks in my purse. *duh* so I'll have to go back tomorrow. also need to pick up Gavin's shoes he left at the dojo and pay off the other bill. oh, the first one I found out that the payoff is about $450 less than what I thought, so that made me very happy!

Garrett and Hunter have both been little terds today. I think they're making up for the weekend or something but its driving me batty!
I have a list of things to get done and I'm determined to do them. though I dont think any of them got done today. LOL
OH, I got an appt on Thursday morning to get my hair done! happy birthday to me! I'm getting it cut/layered and *gulp* permed!  big hair, here I come!

forgot to mention that I picked up my prize at the library today. I won in a drawing they were having for Valentine's day I got a tote bag filled with two hard back (romance) books and two big sticks of chocolate! also checked out about 5 books while there.

I guess I could update, but its been kinda boring. I did get my babysitter today to get to the store before those crazy storms came through. so I got 2 hours out by myself. got food, dropped stuff off at the thrift store and consignment store, dropped some gogurts off at my brothers.
oh, I've been getting in the spring cleaning mood too, so I'm putting a lot of stuff in the truck to drop off where it needs to go (which is out of my house!) and also did a Belle puzzle to hang up in the girls room.
found some cool buttons to add on my new bag (will get pics later).
guess that's about it.
still need to start on getting our tax stuff together! appt is on saturday!

we had a good day today! got to hang out and all that. dh got in last night right as kung fu class was starting, so the kids loved that and I had help with the little ones. we took the kids to Jetters afterwards cause kids eat free from 5-8pm.
today C went to his friends house so they could practice as a band and the rest of us went to the city for a few stops. had to get a few things from Sams, some guitar strings for C and dh had to stop at Harbor Freight for some work related stuff. I wanted to go to Target, but dh forgot and I didnt say anything. kept me from spending more $
oh, I had to use my new baby carrier in Sams (S gets tired of carts very quickly!) and I got so many comments course it could just be the cute baby in the carrier one man came up as we were checking out saying "I just had to come see my little girlfriend before she left!" course its always hilarious when people come up to Sarina and want to engage with her cause she normally just STARES at them without cracking a smile!  once in a blue moon she'll smile and interact with someone, but usually its just a "what are you doing you kook" type of look 

tonight the kung fu academy celebrated Chinese New Year at our local chinese restaurant. it was fun! we filled up half the restaurant (which is saying a lot). they did a Lion Dance, hollered out "happy new year (in chinese)", had a raffle, gave out awards (all 3 of mine got one!) and of course we ate like piggies.  I have pics on the camera that I'll upload later.

oh, in awesome news, I GOT MY CAMERA!!!! I had to do it the hard way, but I got it!
while in the city, we stopped at Best Buy cause I wanted to get my hands on the camera (I remember playing with it before, but wanted to look at it again) only to find out they didnt have it in store. then after more looking, they're discontinuing that model! *wah!* they only had a small # for the whole district I could order and I didnt have the $ today and by the end of Feb (when our return is back) they'd very likely be gone and definitely off sale as they were today. so I left there empty handed. *pout*
then later i got to wondering if Walmart carried them OL. Voila! they do! so I applied for a walmart card at checkout and what do you know, it liked me! so it'll be here next week and I'll just pay it off when we get our return back!  I'm tickled!!

tomorrow after church we'll start getting ready for the super bowl party! well, maybe not party per say, but hang out. LOL!

Sarina's two front side incisors came in finally! she's got little fangs (should I call her Bella or Alice?) pesky little things took their time on the last leg of that journey to get in! now we'll be waiting on the two top front middle teeth, the big uns!
she's been practicing her walking with us. she can walk beside us holding our hand now. so dang cute! and she's getting braver going between things. just a matter of time before she's eager to try more than one step here and there!
and she's slowly moving into the 18m stuff now. she can still wear 12m items fine and even the odd/end 6-9m thing, but her thighs/butt are really needing 18m pants and jeans. *giggle* poor girl, I hope she works some of that off when she starts walking

our date day was FAB! a whole 5+ hours of just dh and I (and Sarina) to hang out. we were going to eat at outback, but they didnt open til 3 (HOW can they do that on a saturday and still expect to make good money???) and it was only about 1, so we went to red lobster and pigged out! oh gosh, I was a walking bloat by the time we left!  it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD though! cost a pretty penny, but it'll likely be either the last time or the first of only two times we eat there this year.
we didnt see a movie cause he wasnt interested in what we found playing. no biggie.
we hit hobby lobby and I found some gorgeous material that I'm going to use to TRY to make a reversable mai tei for myself. wish me luck! I'll get a pic of the material tomorrow. I love it!
also found K some paint brushes she was wanting and they were half price, so 2.50 for a set of 20 nice brushes
then off to the mall (had to walk off some of that food!) and we putzed around a bit. I found some socks for S at gymbo and we got a couple of calendars for the boys (transformers and Fender guitars) since they were on clearance.

that was about it! time went quick! we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table anyway. OH, dh got me a mango daquiri (sp?) while we waited. that thing was AWESOME! and it didnt even give me a buzz. I think he told him to go mellow on it.  (normally I'm buzzing after something stupid like smelling liquor LOL)

but I feel so refreshed after today!! smiles and happy and all that good stuff! so it was worth it all the way around!

oh, while we were out, some stranger came up to the house and was banging on the door! they said he had a briefcase and a large binder. I have NO idea who it could have been except for insurance or book salesmen. they had everyone scared though!

tomorrow is church and dh is going to fix us lunch while we're gone. after that I'll take the girls grocery getting with me

right now I'm holding a sick baby.  Sarina started running a fever last night and all nite. she took a 3 hr nap yesterday afternoon. guess I should have known something was up.

so no church this morning. dh goes out of town this week to work for Honda.

C got a new guitar friday. we traded both his other two to go towards this one. which we got $150 trade in and only had $90 invested in those.  he's so proud of it. tomorrow he'll be going to a friends house so their band can practice and he can show it off. its a Gibson SG

I wish a little girl would do the same. she's had two very short naps and is a crankbutt. her 4 top teeth are working in. it looks like the lateral incisors (? not the very front ones but the ones next to them) will be the first ones through. a vamp baby. LOL!

first night in the crib

last night was Sarina's first night in her crib!
she did really well for me. she woke about 2:30 which is normal for her and we sat in the living room to nurse then I put her down and she slept til 6. K brought her in to me then and we slept nursed for a while. I had to get up earlier cause g got up early (after 6 for some reason and didnt want to stay in bed). she slept til about 7:30 though! not bad! maybe now I wont keep a crick in my shoulder from sleeping with her. (I have one arm bent above her head and this week I've kept a kink in my shoulder blade. hurts!)

1/6/2009 11:03 AM   long time no update I guess! Its been a good week or two (forget how long its actually been since a real update got posted). Let's see, this past week my sis and her family came up to do our Christmas gifts finally. It was fun having them all here, always is! All the kids enjoyed their gifts (both sides) and I hear the big bag of homemade goodies I sent home has quickly disappeared! :D Canaan got the Bruce Lee book (his first book) and has been studying on that every day! I think that's the first thing besides a manga book that he's had open each day LOL! Katlyn got drawing items of Tinkerbell, which is perfect for her! Gavin got a lego knights game but he and Hunter have been using it solely as legos for now (they loooooooooooove legos!) Hunter got a Cars read along book/CD set and a bug set LOL! Its got a lot of fake bugs in it along with the book to talk about them, even a sticker set and small poster. We now have bug stickers all over the kids puter desk. ;) Garrett got a soft farm set, its so cute! He still calls all the animals cows, but he's learning! Sarina got a great assortment of books… and I'm thinking a toy as well. Dang if I cant remember now! Friday we let both C and K have a friend over for the night. K had her cousin Heather over and C had his friend Graham. All well behaved and only a couple of "turn the music down" episodes after bedtime. Good kids!   The kids went back to school yesterday (Monday) and it sure was lonely without them all here. Canaan once again asked if we could homeschool again and I said nope! Not cause I'd not love to have them home, but he doesn't listen to me well enough for schooling now and I'm not going to stress myself out over that. Plus he'd then start complaining that he missed his friends. Oh the agonies of teens! LOL! K and G were kinda glad to be going back, they both missed their friends, but I was still told I was missed when they got back and gavey told me he'd miss me this morning. *sniff* such a sweetie!   Dh put up a new coat rack for us yesterday! WOO! I've been waiting on that for years! No more coats hanging on the kitchen chairs now, I love it!!!   I finished the Twilight series in 9 days (maybe 10?). it was good, though honestly, I don't see what all the hype was/is about. :dunno: it was a good fun read, but I have read better and plenty that have left a better ending for me to close with. Eh, it was free, so no biggie.  I'm definitely just going to wait for the DVD to come out though.   Sarina's hair is turning into a mowhawk LOL! She's got a right thick tuft of hair at the top of her head now. Its easy to keep bows in that have the grippie stuff on them, but the back is very slow to be filling in. I've tried to spike it up, but no success so far LMBO!!!   Speaking of bows, I've made some! Just for crafting fun for my girls, but I did some korker style bows! :D they can get addicting to make and gosh, it can get expensive too! LOL!! I do have pics of my goodies to share. I've actually got a lot of pics to share, still need to resize them (as of this update).   Had to call ATT about our texting. I'm not getting all of my texts for some reason and we cant figure it out. Irritates me to no end as well! Hopefully it'll be worked out soon and I'll have my texts (all of them) again.   I'm enjoying my new crockpot like crazy! Though I need to get a lot more crockpot recipes to make stuff! Last night was pork chops with all the fixings. I'm thinking of meatballs tonight and sloppy joes tomorrow :hehe: .   It also looks like I'll be making the sashes for the kung fu class too! I'll get the specifics maybe this week. Cool!     1/7/2009 11:59 AM   I'm really liking my crockpots (have I said that yet? LOL). Yesterday was BBQ meatballs (all gone!) and today is spaghetti sauce (smells great!!)   I'm still trying to get my recycles to the center. All last week they were closed cause of NYE and they were full and wouldn't allow drop offs. Very irritating!

Tuesday, December 23, 2008   Its been a fun week. I do miss having the kids home and really enjoy most days when they're off school.  The Cmas play on Sunday was so good. I got pics of the boys in their costumes and the adult play made me cry! It was about a family who had lost a son and was asked to take in an orphaned boy.  My mom (who played the part of the mother) even was crying.   Dh had to work all weekend, we got to see him for a few hours each night, but man its been a long time since we got some time together. We did manage to get in some *ahem* time in Sunday though. He's in Chattanooga this week and will have to go back after Christmas as well. (hi Rachel!) he comes in tonight, not sure if he has to work tomorrow though. They were going to have him come in tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and he said NO, he was coming in tonight! FIL is also supposed to be in either tonight or tomorrow. We'll see when he gets here. I think he'll be staying til the new year.   Sarina has stood by herself a few times! No more than a few seconds and she doesn't realize when she does it. She'll be playing with a toy and then just let go with both hands to examine it farther. ;) cute! She's also not been sleeping too well this week. I don't think its her teeth, there aren't any moving up on the bottom, and though her top 4 teeth are showing through the gums, they're not at or near enough the gum line to be breaking through. Not sure what's up with her sleeping this week. This morning about 5 she was up and wanting to get into stuff on the headboard though. LOL!   I'll be taking the kids to my moms in just a bit. They're staying the night with them tonight (except for Sarina) so dh and I will get some quiet time and he may do some shopping I guess. I'm working on doing a bunch of baking! I'm making 3 loaves of PB bread (thanks JennT!) and a bunch of different cookies. I'll be giving them as gifts to my brother, BIL (step dads son) and my sis. And though I love the kids being here, I'll be glad when they're there so I can get this stuff done. Though I really hope Sarina lets me get the stuff done. LOL! Also need to make sure the house is cleaned up for when FIL and dh come home. The kids have been working on it this morning for me, but I'll need to go over it.   Naomi, I was able to read your post in my email notifies and TY so much :hug: I really, really miss being able to pop in and talk to you all. I miss being able to keep up with you all and I know all these babies and bellies will be getting so very big by the time I get back on. *sniff* I'll have a lot to catch up on for sure!! And I wish I had your peppermint bark recipe cause I'd like to add that in the mix of what I'm making! :lol:   I think I have more pics to post, this is kind of becoming a pic journal for now. :lol:   12-25-08 Once again I'm awake before most of the kids. The only exception is Gavin who has sat in here playing on the puter, happily waiting to hear movement from our bedroom so he can come in and start giggling over what's under the tree. LOL! The tree is loaded up, I love seeing it like that (it's amazing how much stuff I can accumulate by finding it through the year and putting it back!) We already know that Sarina likes her new stroller/walker because she was playing with it last night after it was put together. ;) daddy said she crawled up to it saying "Nah-nah nah nah" (which is her new sound and sooooooooooo cute since that's also what Garrett calls her and one of our nicknames for her :D )   10:22 AM Well its long after the gifts are opened and all the trash is picked up and everyone is playing with their new goodies. Gavin and hunter are still enjoying transformers, Canaan is back to playing on guitar hero, Katlyn is decked out in her tinkerbell stuff, Garrett is doing his normal drumming on everything though he did enjoy beating with his new black and decker 'tools', and Sarina is really in need of a nap after all the excitement. Her head is falling over my arm as I type. LOL! They all got new pjs, even daddy and I, last night at moms so we all look festive for pics :D We're still waiting for my dad to get here. I figure it'll be about lunch time when he shows up. The kids are excited for him to get here, they love seeing papa, but knowing he's bringing more gifts of course makes it even more exciting. LOL! The kids are asking if we can go to Chinese today, they were open last year for Christmas but I don't know about this year. Guess we'll see later on. I just know I'm not spending all my day cooking… and anyway all I really have is pizza to make. ;) Oh, FIL is going to take me grocery shopping for my Christmas present! Woo!!! I've got my coupons ready and waiting and I'm going to stock up! :boogie: Dh is watching john wayne movies (bleh) he and FIL have been doing that all morning. Hope we won't be stuck watching westerns all day, kwim? :-p   Oh, I got a 3 bowl crock pot, really nice! I need to stick something in it after Sarina lets me get up. ;) I also got a Bissell Little Green Clean machine, MUCH needed! (and I asked for it). Can't wait to start cleaning up my couch and stuff, they are so nasty! And my best present was my new winter coat! Ooooooooooo, it's so pretty! Got it for $60 too which was $100 off the tag! :D   Mom and papaw gave all the adults cash, so I have some $ to go play with now! There's a diaper bag at Wal-Mart I've been eyeballing, so I may go pick that up tomorrow along with checking out the after Christmas stuff, FUN!   My SIL, Tori (dh's sister) brought Katlyn and I the Twilight books to start reading. I've heard so much about them so hopefully I'll enjoy them. I've also been reading some manga, Fairy Tail and Canaan is ALL into Naruto now. He's up to manga #23 I think it is. He's waiting for the next ones to come back in to the library.   Off to find something to fix. People are getting hungry!   12/28/2008 11:19 AM   We've had a good breakfast today to start off Robert's birthday. I fixed bacon, eggs, pancakes (with cinnamon), biscuits and gravy. Yum!! FIL is also going to be leaving today later on. He and Robert are working on a shelf installation in his semi right now.   Oh, for Christmas, my dad got dh and I a $100 and dh told me to take it and buy myself something! So I have $ to play with! I actually went shopping last night and bought myself 3 new pair of shoes, a 3 pk of earrings, a big pack of turquoise and black bracelets and an adorable brown LS shirt with white polka dots (scoop neck/empire waist) and a pair of "suck 'em in" undies (those gut squishing things that make you look slimmer :lol: ). I spent about $65! *eek!!* Not something I'm used to, but it was all stuff I wanted, especially the shoes. I usually get my shoes from the thrift store or yard sales and mine are all about looking like they came from the thrift store. :cute: I told Katlyn she had to keep her hands off LMBO! I then went OL and bought a new diaper bag from Wal-Mart that's not sold in stores. Its black with white polka dots :D I'll get a pic when it comes in! my Kechi bag is looking rough about now and I need another to switch to.   12/28/2008 9:37 PM   Forgot to post that my first PP "af" has shown, though I attribute it 100% to getting the Mirena put in. its very light, just a pantyliner is needed. Guess I'll see if I get another one in about a month from now. I sure hope not! LOL! I'm used to not having anything til a month after I quit nursing. :P and we're still going strong here, my little nursling piggy. I tell you, this girl has some HUGE thighs on her! LMBO!! I think she has 2 lbs of extra baggage right there :lol: I'll have to get a good back side pic to share :hehe: a far cry from the little chicken legs she used to sport.   OH another great thing! The past two nights she's slept ALL night!!! Two nights of 8+ hours of sleep!!!! WOAH!!! Awesome!!! Course she doesn't knock out til about midnight, but that's about normal for me anyway, so its fine. LOL!   Dh and FIL will be leaving out in the morning. Not sure yet if dh gets to come home for NYE or not either. No biggie I guess if not, at least its not Christmas! We always just veg at home anyway and no change of plans this year.   I'm looking forward to using my new crock pot with the small bowl to make my cheesy salsa dip for NYE, or maybe the cocktail sausages? Hmmmmm……….. decisions!   Katlyn went to Dana's tonight and tomorrow Canaan will have a friend over.   Garrett got big boy undies for Christmas. He loves wearing them during the day (they have dinos on them). Its sure nice not to have to buy a lot of diapers and pull ups! He still wears his P/Us, but only when we go out, a diaper when he goes to bed at night, but lately he's been dry when he gets up in the morning too. Undies are a good thing!   Speaking of diapers, Sarina got a big box of them plus a big box of wipes from papa Jim! Woo! We're set for about 2 months because I also have a box that I'd bought just last week!

Tuesday, December 23, 2008   Its been a fun week. I do miss having the kids home and really enjoy most days when they're off school.  The Cmas play on Sunday was so good. I got pics of the boys in their costumes and the adult play made me cry! It was about a family who had lost a son and was asked to take in an orphaned boy.  My mom (who played the part of the mother) even was crying.   Dh had to work all weekend, we got to see him for a few hours each night, but man its been a long time since we got some time together. We did manage to get in some *ahem* time in Sunday though. He's in Chattanooga this week and will have to go back after Christmas as well. (hi Rachel!) he comes in tonight, not sure if he has to work tomorrow though. They were going to have him come in tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and he said NO, he was coming in tonight! FIL is also supposed to be in either tonight or tomorrow. We'll see when he gets here. I think he'll be staying til the new year.   Sarina has stood by herself a few times! No more than a few seconds and she doesn't realize when she does it. She'll be playing with a toy and then just let go with both hands to examine it farther. ;) cute! She's also not been sleeping too well this week. I don't think its her teeth, there aren't any moving up on the bottom, and though her top 4 teeth are showing through the gums, they're not at or near enough the gum line to be breaking through. Not sure what's up with her sleeping this week. This morning about 5 she was up and wanting to get into stuff on the headboard though. LOL!   I'll be taking the kids to my moms in just a bit. They're staying the night with them tonight (except for Sarina) so dh and I will get some quiet time and he may do some shopping I guess. I'm working on doing a bunch of baking! I'm making 3 loaves of PB bread (thanks JennT!) and a bunch of different cookies. I'll be giving them as gifts to my brother, BIL (step dads son) and my sis. And though I love the kids being here, I'll be glad when they're there so I can get this stuff done. Though I really hope Sarina lets me get the stuff done. LOL! Also need to make sure the house is cleaned up for when FIL and dh come home. The kids have been working on it this morning for me, but I'll need to go over it.   Naomi, I was able to read your post in my email notifies and TY so much :hug: I really, really miss being able to pop in and talk to you all. I miss being able to keep up with you all and I know all these babies and bellies will be getting so very big by the time I get back on. *sniff* I'll have a lot to catch up on for sure!! And I wish I had your peppermint bark recipe cause I'd like to add that in the mix of what I'm making! :lol:   I think I have more pics to post, this is kind of becoming a pic journal for now. :lol:   12-25-08 Once again I'm awake before most of the kids. The only exception is Gavin who has sat in here playing on the puter, happily waiting to hear movement from our bedroom so he can come in and start giggling over what's under the tree. LOL! The tree is loaded up, I love seeing it like that (it's amazing how much stuff I can accumulate by finding it through the year and putting it back!) We already know that Sarina likes her new stroller/walker because she was playing with it last night after it was put together. ;) daddy said she crawled up to it saying "Nah-nah nah nah" (which is her new sound and sooooooooooo cute since that's also what Garrett calls her and one of our nicknames for her :D )   10:22 AM Well its long after the gifts are opened and all the trash is picked up and everyone is playing with their new goodies. Gavin and hunter are still enjoying transformers, Canaan is back to playing on guitar hero, Katlyn is decked out in her tinkerbell stuff, Garrett is doing his normal drumming on everything though he did enjoy beating with his new black and decker 'tools', and Sarina is really in need of a nap after all the excitement. Her head is falling over my arm as I type. LOL! They all got new pjs, even daddy and I, last night at moms so we all look festive for pics :D We're still waiting for my dad to get here. I figure it'll be about lunch time when he shows up. The kids are excited for him to get here, they love seeing papa, but knowing he's bringing more gifts of course makes it even more exciting. LOL! The kids are asking if we can go to Chinese today, they were open last year for Christmas but I don't know about this year. Guess we'll see later on. I just know I'm not spending all my day cooking… and anyway all I really have is pizza to make. ;) Oh, FIL is going to take me grocery shopping for my Christmas present! Woo!!! I've got my coupons ready and waiting and I'm going to stock up! :boogie: Dh is watching john wayne movies (bleh) he and FIL have been doing that all morning. Hope we won't be stuck watching westerns all day, kwim? :-p   Oh, I got a 3 bowl crock pot, really nice! I need to stick something in it after Sarina lets me get up. ;) I also got a Bissell Little Green Clean machine, MUCH needed! (and I asked for it). Can't wait to start cleaning up my couch and stuff, they are so nasty! And my best present was my new winter coat! Ooooooooooo, it's so pretty! Got it for $60 too which was $100 off the tag! :D   Mom and papaw gave all the adults cash, so I have some $ to go play with now! There's a diaper bag at Wal-Mart I've been eyeballing, so I may go pick that up tomorrow along with checking out the after Christmas stuff, FUN!   My SIL, Tori (dh's sister) brought Katlyn and I the Twilight books to start reading. I've heard so much about them so hopefully I'll enjoy them. I've also been reading some manga, Fairy Tail and Canaan is ALL into Naruto now. He's up to manga #23 I think it is. He's waiting for the next ones to come back in to the library.   Off to find something to fix. People are getting hungry!   12/28/2008 11:19 AM   We've had a good breakfast today to start off Robert's birthday. I fixed bacon, eggs, pancakes (with cinnamon), biscuits and gravy. Yum!! FIL is also going to be leaving today later on. He and Robert are working on a shelf installation in his semi right now.   Oh, for Christmas, my dad got dh and I a $100 and dh told me to take it and buy myself something! So I have $ to play with! I actually went shopping last night and bought myself 3 new pair of shoes, a 3 pk of earrings, a big pack of turquoise and black bracelets and an adorable brown LS shirt with white polka dots (scoop neck/empire waist) and a pair of "suck 'em in" undies (those gut squishing things that make you look slimmer :lol: ). I spent about $65! *eek!!* Not something I'm used to, but it was all stuff I wanted, especially the shoes. I usually get my shoes from the thrift store or yard sales and mine are all about looking like they came from the thrift store. :cute: I told Katlyn she had to keep her hands off LMBO! I then went OL and bought a new diaper bag from Wal-Mart that's not sold in stores. Its black with white polka dots :D I'll get a pic when it comes in! my Kechi bag is looking rough about now and I need another to switch to.   12/28/2008 9:37 PM   Forgot to post that my first PP "af" has shown, though I attribute it 100% to getting the Mirena put in. its very light, just a pantyliner is needed. Guess I'll see if I get another one in about a month from now. I sure hope not! LOL! I'm used to not having anything til a month after I quit nursing. :P and we're still going strong here, my little nursling piggy. I tell you, this girl has some HUGE thighs on her! LMBO!! I think she has 2 lbs of extra baggage right there :lol: I'll have to get a good back side pic to share :hehe: a far cry from the little chicken legs she used to sport.   OH another great thing! The past two nights she's slept ALL night!!! Two nights of 8+ hours of sleep!!!! WOAH!!! Awesome!!! Course she doesn't knock out til about midnight, but that's about normal for me anyway, so its fine. LOL!   Dh and FIL will be leaving out in the morning. Not sure yet if dh gets to come home for NYE or not either. No biggie I guess if not, at least its not Christmas! We always just veg at home anyway and no change of plans this year.   I'm looking forward to using my new crock pot with the small bowl to make my cheesy salsa dip for NYE, or maybe the cocktail sausages? Hmmmmm……….. decisions!   Katlyn went to Dana's tonight and tomorrow Canaan will have a friend over.   Garrett got big boy undies for Christmas. He loves wearing them during the day (they have dinos on them). Its sure nice not to have to buy a lot of diapers and pull ups! He still wears his P/Us, but only when we go out, a diaper when he goes to bed at night, but lately he's been dry when he gets up in the morning too. Undies are a good thing!   Speaking of diapers, Sarina got a big box of them plus a big box of wipes from papa Jim! Woo! We're set for about 2 months because I also have a box that I'd bought just last week!

Monday, December 15, 2008   Well, Garrett succeeded in dumping the rest of Sarina's antibiotic down the kitchen sink. I thought they were child proof lids?! I guess I need a Garrett proof lid instead. :P she was down to the last couple of doses so hopefully it's ok.   Things have been fine here. Doing all the regular stuff, nothing out of the ordinary. Sarina turned 8 months today! Wow oh wow! Gotta get pics taken before I forget (again). The kids got out of school early today cause of a winter storm advisory in effect. Ice and snow and all that stuff supposed to be moving in the area through the night. We'll see if they have school tomorrow. Gavin's music thing is tomorrow night so really, I hope it comes to nothing. They'll be out of school on Friday as it is, so they can do without a day off right now. LOL!   Robert is working in town this week! Well, he gets to be home each night that is. Only the 2nd week he's gotten to do that since he went back to work in October!  Sheesh. Thinking I'll fix spaghetti or sloppy joes tonight… yeah, maybe sloppy joes!   We finally watched Dark Knight last night! Good movie! Dark and grim, but still good. I've been playing Super Paper Mario this week LOL! Got myself hooked I did!   I got offered the job of sewing the sashes for the kung fu academy. J I thought that was cool and it's a super easy thing to do. I've got to check on prices of fabrics and see how much it'd run for me to do it compared to them ordering them so we can figure out a price to charge. Gotta be cheaper for me to do them though, ordering them was $16 each and I made the kids 3 sashes for like $3 total!   Sarina is getting much faster at crawling now. Plus she's working on figuring out the doors on the cabinets that she can get to. Fun! :laughing: She has done another time or two of standing on her own for a few seconds, but she gets a real worried look on her face when she's not holding onto something while she's standing. :lol: As far as how big she is, she didn't grow much this past month. She's still 21.5 lbs, but she's now 29" tall. Still wearing 12m stuff, size 3 shoes.   Garrett only wears pull ups while we're out of the house anymore. He does a great job going potty. I'm tempted to let him wear undies out (and he has one time on a very short trip) but he still tends to go in them if we cant get to a potty on time. And this kid has to go what seems every 5 minutes! His bladder must be the size of a teaspoon! :lol:   I set up the PNP in the bedroom for Sarina. She finally outgrew the cradle. She's sleeping great in it too. I was worried about the transition for her, but she's done really well. The first week she had to sleep in the swing cause of her congestion, but since then its been in the PNP. She sleeps til about 4am and then up to nurse and down again til 7 or 8 when she comes in bed with me for a nursing.   The band concert went really well this past Friday. So proud to see Katlyn up there, it reminded me of when I was in band. Brought back a ton of memories! :D I hope she keeps it up!   Gavin gets to wear his pj's to school this Friday for their last day. :lol: he's so excited about that.   Ooo, I've got a little crawly bug-girl on my leg and now standing at my chair. Guess I better tend to her. ;)     12/16/2008   Well the kids are out of school today. There's a layer of ice on everything around here. Gavin's school program was tonight, now I wonder what they'll do about that. They've been working on it for a couple of months now. ?? The kids of course are super happy to be off school today. Canaan's already played his video game and Katlyn is on hers now. :lol: I think Gavin and Hunter may still be sleeping cause they're not in here on the computer drawing Batman/hulk/etc. Garrett is in between sleep and awake. I sent him back to bed about 30 minutes ago. Fussing and carrying on. Sarina is still snoozing. She's in my bed all snuggled up.   I wonder how much we can NOT get done today? LOL!     A sleeping baby in my lap right now, but I'm excited cause I got bows today!! All kinds since my Pretties order and my Gymbo order both came in! Gymbo had free ship and bows on sale last week, so I got 5 different pairs of bows for $14. :D Now we have new colors and even whispies that K and I can wear. Woo!   I need to get dinner started. Sleeping baby makes that hard though. She's not taken a good nap today so I hate to move her. :-P I did get her 8m pics taken today. Used the gorgeous dress Naomi got for her. Its soooooooooooo … GIRLY!!! :princess: it fluffs out like a tutu. Adorable!!   I finally finished up my Christmas cards today too. My printer jammed on me last week doing pics and it freaked it out. It wouldn't print anything from the puter, only wanted to copy things. Had to unplug it so it'd reset itself.   My anal list keeping self put together a list of all the kids heights to age 13. :blush: weights too if I had them. I had all this space in the notebook, had to do something with it! LOL!!   I tried to logon to BOLU from my phone today, but it kept kicking off cause the page was too large, even with no images/avatars/sigs in place and just 5 posts per page. Figures. The net provider said we're looking at mid-January at his latest guess right now. I sure hope it doesn't go back any farther, I need me some net!!!!!!!!!!!! (in my own house on my computer!)   I cant believe that Christmas is so close! The kids get out Friday for break. I still have a lot of wrapping to do. We've not put up outside lights this year because dh hasn't been here to do them. At least the tree is up. Barely standing though it is! Thomas, our tomcat, has repeatedly climbed the thing, Sarina gets it nude across the bottom and Garrett beats on all the ornaments like they're drums. Poor tree! My angel has fell off once and seems to always be leaning now. :lol:   Poor Gavin picked up a bug yesterday and he was up w/ an upset tummy last night. Today he's had the squirts. He keeps messing slightly on his drawers because he tries to fart! I told him he better not fart again unless he's on the pot!!       12-17-08   School was back on today! The kids were sad cause the county next to us was out but really there wasn't a reason to be. Friday is the last day anyway and they're more than counting down to that!   Gavin's concert is tomorrow night now. They moved the time up a bit as well. Not sure if dh will be able to make it now or not cause of that. :-P guess I'll record it for him on my camera JIC.   FIL is to be in next week to stay for the weekend at least, maybe til the first of the year. We'll find out more about that next week.   Garrett is driving me bonkers being a drummer on everything in the house! Seriously, this kid finds two stick-like objects and they become drumsticks and anything in sight becomes his drums. *bang bang bang bang* is what he'd do all day long if I let him. :crazy: He's been wearing his underwear with his pants today and most of this week. He prefers to have his "Uh-wear" on when he gets up now too, which is a big bonus. :D not that he doesn't forget (once today) sometimes while wearing pants, but he's doing great!   My neighbor sent a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls over last night! OMG, those are a serious weakness to me! :lol: they are sooooooooooooooooooooooo good! I was good and only ate 3 (there are 8 in a pan :blush: ) and refused the rest (*ahem* didn't hide the rest from the kids) and let them finish them off. So now they're gone! Whew!   Going for my Mirena tomorrow! I'm kinda excited about it. I've been cramping off and on this week, but I think its just my body doing its "trying to drop an egg but not really doing it" thing cause my face was totally broke out last week. They'll do a pg test before they put it in anyway. As always I'll be on pins and needles waiting for that. :lol:   Hmmm… wonder how long this update will get before I get to post it….     Well the mirena is in now and I go back in about 3 weeks for a recheck to make sure its in place right. It cramped awful, especially on my left side when it was put in. I took some Aleve and was feeling better about an hour later. I was even a bit queasy from it. Go figure. I did get the doc and nurse to laughing though. When he was inserting it, it cramped and I did a few "ow! Ow! Ow!" and he said I was making him feel bad cause its not supposed to be very painful. I said "well I guess its cause my stuff hasn't seen any action in a long time to make it hurt." The nurse almost spit she started laughing and the doc was soon after. (me too of course) and nurse says "that was just funny how you said that" and doc went along too with "yeah, your poor hubby!" and I had to explain  my comment as meaning 'no periods/cramps' kind of action. :lol: I was only out $80 for it ($50 copay cause my doc is a specialist by my ins, $30 for the mirena) so not bad for being covered the next 5 years. :D   Stopped by a couple of thrift stores afterwards and found Gavin a white button down shirt for tonight (yay!) and a few leggings and shirts/sweaters for S. found a Bratz scrapbook for K too. I'm going to find out if her friend Dana likes to scrap or else I'll just give it to k.     12-19-08   The musical went great last night! It was so cute seeing the kids perform. I got it all on video thanks to mom. Gavin said at first he was nervous, but then excited. :D he was so proud of himself, as were we!   Found that dh is going out of town again this coming week to Chattanooga. He'll be back on Wednesday. :-p He did get his bonus already, a week earlier than usual. Wow!   Gotta get in town, and hopefully post this!

friday Katlyn has a band concert, saturday the kids will be in the town parade with the Kung Fu class. this coming tuesday Gavin will be in a class chorus program at school.

I had to take Sarina to the dr today cause she finally caught the congestion cold we've been passing around at home. poor thing. sleeping at night has NOT been good though. last night she got to sleep at 11, woke up at 12:30 and didnt get back to sleep til 4. I of course couldnt get to sleep til about 5 or later then woke at 6:22 to check on the kids. she did end up sleeping til 9 after that though.
so she has congestion (not in her lungs though), a slight ear infection in her left ear and a yeast infection that we've been battling for a week. :P
oh, she's 21 lbs as well, which means she's actually slowing down now. LOL!!

ugh, I'm on moms dsl tonight, but its acting goofy, not loading pages and stuff. I hope this posts!

I'm sure there's a ton more to yak about. guess I could start keeping a file typed up so all I have to do is copy/paste!

oh, Garrett's new phrase is "I Wa You" (I love you) and he says it like 2000000000000000000000000000000 times a day. LOL! he gets VERY upset if I dont answer him too which can be irritating if I'm doing something else, like on the phone, counting, disciplining, etc. LOL!

Lines for pickup at school are crazy. :-P

What are they eating?: still mostly nursing with some formula and the occasional table food, but yesterday she actually started 'liking' baby food! it'll be much easier to feed her foods through the day now if she continues.

What kind of eater are they? (picky, voracious, messy, neat...): MESSY and slightly picky! omgosh, this girl can make a mess!! even nursing she dribbles out the side, so when she eats foods, it gets everywhere!! today I even found it on my legs for gosh sakes

How are they Sleeping?: pretty good. still napping about 3 times a day, though she was trying to push that last nap to about 7pm which totally wasnt working for bedtime, so this weekend we've been working on that. otherwise, she'll (normally) still go to bed about 9-10 and sleep to between 2-5am then come to bed with me for nursing and snoozing the rest of the night.

Health: very healthy she will be going on the 19th to get her tongue clipped but she should be back to herself in just a few hours.

Milestones and mobility?: still not officially crawling yet, just gets up on all 4's, rocks, goes backwards wonderfully, but will flop herself forward as of this weekend. I dont really expect her to get mobile (officially) til she's 7 months.
she also cut her first tooth last week!

'language' skills? fav sound is still ba-ba and ya-ya, but she does sometimes say da-da. she also raspberries really great.

Favorite activities or toys: ME! we're totally going through seperation anxiety now and she doesnt like me getting out of her sight. :P

so I made it through tonight! woo! I'm so proud of myself
as soon as the kids got home off the bus, we got our gear together and headed out to kung fu class. after dropping the boys off (K went home with a friend today so they could TOT around her neighborhood) I went to pick up some clothes that were being given to us, so I got 2 diaper boxes of clothes there, along with a strawberry costume for Sarina (which is cool since we have none)
so back into town I go, enough time to sit in the truck and go through the boxes before class is over and to get H and Garrett into their power ranger costumes (the stretchy ones they play in-we just slipped them over their regular clothes LOL).
we left the truck at the dojo and walked up town to the square where they were doing trunk or treat for the city.
now, anyone that's been following me knows we usually go to our church for their fall fest and don't do costumes or anything, just go and play games, ride rides and get tons of candy. so this is actually the first year my kids have been to any type of TOT thing. (yes, *gasp* *shock* and all that stuff, but they've been fine and we've had tons of candy to prove it LMBO!)
so they were excited that we were doing this to say the least.
our town decided to do the TOT thing tonight instead of tomorrow (not sure why) so it seems ALL the surrounding counties came here for extra loot! omgosh, the square was packed-but I didn't know the half of it when we first walked up! LOL! so we came in and went through a few cars then went on to the main area that people were milling about and I just join in with the crowd (oops, I found out later that we actually cut "line" LOL), we walk around half the block and I see the block-long line still waiting to go through the square!!! *WTH?!* so I'm like "those people are waiting to get in here to the other side of the square??... oh no. we're so done!" so we pack up and head back to the dojo (about a 3 block walk).
we got a big bowl full of candy (K didn't share what she got, so that's just between the 3 boys LOL).
Gavin told me on the way back "mom, I'm not sure about this TOT stuff cause that's a whole lot of walking to do" LMBO
Garrett never would hold his bag to get candy... in fact the first time someone put a piece IN his bag, he snatched it back out and proceeded to gobble all he could while he had the bag!! I had to take it away eventually, but there's no telling how much he managed to stuff in his gullet. LOL!!!

I seen some friends up there, including the lady that gave us the clothes and it seems a LOT of people know Canaan. girls, I've got a popular boy on my hands cause all kinds of little girls were hollering "Canaan!!!!!!!!"

 

I took the 5 to captain ds afterwards (before the crowds came in!) then we went to pick up Sis and came home about 8:30 to hurry and get kids ready for bed. :P
this weekend will seem like half an empty house cause C and K will be staying with friends tomorrow, C has 2 parties to go to Saturday and Sunday he has play practice and we have church.
Robert comes home tomorrow night and I told him it'll probably be a quiet weekend...maybe! LOL!

but ugh, I feel like we're always running and the kids are never home. I'm in withdrawal. LOL

 

to clip or not to clip? *sigh*

 

so Sarina had her appt with the ENT today. I had to be there just over an hour earlier than expected cause the doc had to leave the office. put me in a rush to get out of here, but we made it!
the office was SUPER nice! (speaking of the staff and doc) so that was a really good thing to walk into. they all just made over Sarina and her red hair. one of the nurses even took her to play with her after the appt while we were scheduling.
the doc is super sweet. he does see some tongue tie in her, not severe, but enough that he's worried about her speech later on or little things like the ability to lick ice cream cones and such (he even mentioned kissing LOL). so we'll be going on Nov. 19th for her out patient surgery. (and insert other various *nervous* smilies in here). we have to be there at 5:30 since she'll be the first surgery but its not til 7, but wont take any longer than 10 minutes to complete. she'll be sleeping, but breathing on her own the whole time, so will be able to go about her normal eating when she wakes up.
I called my dad to see if he could go with us, so he's going to be here at the house when we're ready to leave (about 4:30 am) and will hang out with us that day. H and Garrett will just stay the night with my mom on Tuesday so they wont have to get up early. the big kids can get off to school on their own.
he did ask if anyone else was tongue tied, which we know of no one on either side of the family. he said it's usually a genetic thing, but not so very uncommon to not know family that have it.
so its a simple procedure, but I'm still asking for any prayers and thoughts to make this easier. pleeeeeeeeeeeease!

otherwise things are the same. didn't go to kung fu tonight as I got in right when the kids got off the bus so way too hectic to get right out the door to go. :P

checking in for a bit. dh is home this weekend the reason I'm not on here playing of course. he has to go back to AL on Monday again. he said they should only have one or two more weeks on this job.
we'll be going to the city tomorrow to go to Sams and take a BUNCH of stuff to goodwill (from switching out summer/winter stuff) and we're checking into some phone options for the family.

oh, we had to buy a new microwave today (thank goodness for good paychecks now) cause while fixing dinner Friday night, it went *ZAP!!!!!!!* while cooking up some broccoli! dead as a doornail! so we got a new one today the same size as our other (it had lasted us for 13 years BTW), and it looks great, sounds great, all that stuff... except one important thing... it doesn't COOK anything!!!! darn GE. doesn't even get anything warm for gosh sakes. so it goes back tomorrow!

the funniest thing though was Friday night, C wanted to fix himself a bowl of soup. he got ready to stick it in the micro, then realized he couldn't. so he looked at me like *hmmm?* and asked "what am I supposed to do?!" ROFLOL!!
so I had to explain that before there were microwaves people had to use the big thing called the stove! he felt goofy after about 2 seconds of saying what he did.

 

 

 I wanted to update last night, but didnt get a chance and was too tired by the time everyone went to bed.
yesterday was... well, a day. the first part was fine, got in town for my WIC pickup, mom took the two boys and I just had Sarina. made things much easier.
C had called before I'd left to say his tummy was hurting and was wanting to come home. so before I picked up the boys, I picked up Canaan.
he ended up spending the rest of the day laying down or sleeping or being in the bathroom. geez, I hope it doesnt go around the house! I'd picked him up about 10:30 and there were already about 12 kids that had been picked up from sickness before him. :P

so the time at home was fine. when K and Gav got off the bus we loaded up (minus C) and went to karate practice. (they got to break boards last night!)
we had spaghetti for dinner to finish off some sauce I had opened up. always a hit in this house

as we were getting ready for bed though that's when it got interesting. Garrett was playing in the living room with Hunter and fell... on the small speaker that's in front of the tv... on the corner. imagine a perfect corner/right angle stabbing into your forehead and that's what Garrett got.
so after I got the bleeding stopped, my Sdad came over (we'd been trying to reach mom, but she was in the church for practice and we couldnt get through) to watch the little ones and C went with me to the ER.
it was already about 9:30 by this time.
G was calm by then as well, the wound was just seeping and I'd cleaned his face off cause seeing himself covered in blood made him cry harder (and of course caused more stress just being that way).
I'm very happy to say the staff was quick (and they werent busy) so we got in fast and out fast.
I thought for sure he'd need stitches to pull the skin back out and pull it together, but they were able to use dermabond and steri strips. he did SO well through it all too! never made a peep, just stared at the nurse fixing him up. totally surprised me!
we were heading home by 10:30. TY Lord!
it took him a while to go to sleep, but he slept well all night and only ended up taking off the bandaid that was over the work by this morning.
he's not complained of his head at all today, though he's been super whiney since he cracked his eyes open.
oh, and K and G missed the bus this morning cause C still wasnt feeling well. I reminded K that she does have an alarm clock. :P so my morning was even earlier to get them in town (and had to take Garrett with us cause they woke him up too).
I'm pooped. LOL

we had a good day here though, stayed busy! we left here around 9:30 this morning. FIL hadnt left out yet, but we said our 'byes' cause he'd be gone before we got back.
grabbed some BK before getting to teh doc's office *yum!*

Sarina of course is a perfect baby. she's 19.9 lbs and 28", HC is 17.5", so everything is on the exact same curve with her now. the doc was a *bit* concerned that her weight has just gone straight up over the last few months instead of showing a wee bit of slacking off signs. (she didnt mention it, I asked about it). I'm thinking it may mostly be from where I put her in bed with me at night after she waked around 2 and just let her suck and sleep for however long. obviously she gets plenty of calories from that. :)
her ears are perfect (a question I asked since she's always pulling her ears. I'd hoped it was just from 'finding' them and it is). she's hit all her milestones for things she should be doing as well.
the only issue is her tongue. I mentioned the slight fork at the tip of her tongue and the doc wants her to be looked at JIC. she doesnt think it will cause her any problems since she's now nursing well and can eat solids fine, but wants a specialist to give it a look to make sure it wont give problems later on in life. so I'll call back tomorrow for that appt. hopefully it wont even be an issue and we'll have no worries with it.

stopped at a couple of thrift stores on teh way back then got my shop done. got home and had time to get a bit of lunch for the kids and I before K adn G got off the bus. they got off the bus about 4:15 and we were back out the door by 4:40 to go pick up C at football and head to karate class. we were 6 minutes late (started at 5). I was in such a rush I actually forgot my purse!
thankfully I had enough gas to get back home (and back to town) cause I'd been up poop creek otherwise! LOL!

Garrett was sent to bed just after 8. :( he's been SUCH a handfull lately. I need to pull out my journals to find out when this stage passes. and for the record, Hunter was sent to bed early as well cause he's coming in a close 2nd in the race for Royal Booger between the two.

tomorrow's Thursday! woo!! that means dh will be home soon! TG! :)

 

my oldest 3 are back in school today. its pretty quiet here in the house right now. Sarina is still snoozing (though don't know how long that'll last since G is wide awake and in full form). G's already pooped on the pot this morning, Hunter has already tried taking a toy away from him. I still need to get on the treadmill. FIL is off to the city to get some more things done today.
I picked up a huge bag of free clothes from the karate studio last night (for Garrett). she was giving it all away. after class FIL took us to eat at Captain Ds.
after getting home we ended up watching the ballgame last night.
I went to bed by 10 and finished the book I was reading by 2 am. I'm tired today, but it was worth it.

today we're going to skip all classes and practices after school to just hang out with FIl since he'll be leaving out in the morning and the kids likely wont see him again til Christmas. not sure what I'll fix for dinner yet.

 

so FIL came in on Friday evening (didn't he? dang, I don't remember! maybe it was Saturday afternoon? LOL) and we've been hanging out all weekend. we didn't go to church today even. felt weird. LOL!
yesterday was pretty low key. dh got up with me and we went yard saleing. didn't find a whole lot, but he did score a pressure washer he's been wanting a very long time. seems we always spend a whole lot more when he goes with us... same as the grocery store! LOL! so he'll be eating sandwiches all week since he spent his per diem money on that. its a nice one though, and now we don't have to look at spending twice as much on a new one.

the kids and I have been playing with the yard play stuff I picked up for $1 a couple weeks ago! K and I have been playing badmitten like crazy and I count it towards my exercise points for the challenge. even HER arms are sore!

oh, the biggest news of the weekend has got to be that Sarina is actually starting to eat solids now! um... she loves bread. I know, I know, bad mommy! LOL! K and I were lunching on Friday and S kept wanting my sandwich, so I gave her a nibble of bread and YUM she ate and ate! I was awed to say the least! this from the girl who always gags, makes lemon faces and clamps her lips tight at any sign of solids!
so later I let her try some more peas and she ate about 1/4 a stage one jar! wow! Saturday she ate another 1/4, a bit less today (rice cereal... even with a pinch of sugar in it... was still a yuck). she's been getting nibbles off my plate though. today we lunched at fazolis and she had a few small pieces of spaghetti. and of course, bread.
she makes a TOTAL mess while eating though! I can see she's going to be like K was for years (til just recently!) and leave a mess wherever she eats. LOL!

the kids have enjoyed FIL being home of course. Garrett knows him and calls him Papaw for now and of course adores his semi parked out in the drive! Sarina is not so fond of it, he blew the horns and she immediately let her lip fall out and burst into tears! took forever to get her to quit too! is that the little girl part of her??

dh goes back to AL in the morning. *sniff* been nice with him home. FIL will be here til Wednesday I think, then he goes back to PA. the kids go back to school on Tuesday and Wednesday is S's 6m appt. not to mention karate each night. so at least we wont be bored.

ok, I'm sure there's more, but I haven't written notes down this weekend. I do have Sarina's 6m pics uploading, though I may post them tomorrow. my eyes are hurting tonight.

 

 

Sarina is a regular ol' fussy butt today! she eats, she's fussy, she sleeps, she's fussy, she plays, she's fussy. that girl needs a happy pill! she's in the exersaucer right now fussing off and on, but ok.
when I tried to see if she'd eat some cereal around lunch it was like OMG, how DARE you try that! LOL! this girl is not in any way shape or form into solids.  oh well.

the kids will be home in just a little while! maybe I'll get Katlyn to take baby sister ;)

so dh had to leave out about 4 this morning. he's going to have to get used to that again. he'll be home tonight, but believes they want him to go to ... AL (I think) for next week. the kids will be on fall break then too so that kinda stinks. I think he went back to work a week early. but no football practice next week either, so the week should be pretty laid back.

my legs are so very sore from my running yesterday! like when I first started exercising sore. I still did my workout this morning though. I had a good drop on the scale this morning so that boosted my confidence! I'm able to up the reps on almost all the exercises I do as well, so I'm getting stronger!

not much on the agenda today besides the normal. its chilly in here! oh, C does have a football game tonight at the school. I'm going to see if I can make that for him.

I did my walking/running outside today! and its rather brisk out there so my lungs were burning afterwards.
ya know what irks me though? my digital scales aren't changing, but my dial scales are. what's up with that?? very irritating! my measurements are changing though, so I know I'm dropping stuff besides sweat.
