S had a rough night, which I was figuring on since she was so restless going to sleep.  dont even remember all teh time we were up, I'm just doggone tired!
she looks awful too cause she fell face flat on the carport the other day and has a big strawberry/bruise in the middle of her forehead.
she's quite whiney and snotty too. I see another fun day ahead

C has a ballgame tonight as long as the rains holds off. he also has a game tomorrow but will be voluntarily missing that one cause 8th grade commencement is at the same time! the ball league refused to reschedule that game for the 8th graders. how stupid was that?!

so I had plans to go to the movies today with my sis, but they got shot down cause my LOs are sick.  Gav brought home a cough last week and H has it now and yesterday S woke with a low grade fever and this morning G had been trying to toss his juice, along with a low grade fever.
S woke just a bit ago though and the fever is gone and she's eating again (only ate one taco yesterday) and she's smiling and happy, so I think she's back to normal for me. G is sleeping on teh couch though, which is a huge sign he doesnt feel well

yesterday we went to church, amazing we get there relatively on time with my teens and toddlers. cant blame it on K either, its C that gives me grief!

while getting in the truck to go to church yesterday, gavin took G's hat off. G got mad adn banged his head on the truck step. of course it was right on the place he fell this week and scarred his head!  I didnt know it in all the hubub of getting out the door, but later, when C brought him in from sunday school, he said 'ms. amanda said he shoudl go to the ER for his head', I'm like  'his head is fine, all it has is a little red scab' then i lift his hair to see its turned black and blue and is swelled up with a big goose egg!!! ARGH!!!!!! it looks awful!! this kid and his tantrums. UGH! so I had to find out what happened (Garrett said "gavin did it" LOL) and Gav told me what happened. *sigh* explained to Amanda what happened and that his head had NOT looked like that all week. geez.
it looks much better today, the swelling has gone down, but its still all black and blue where he hit it. I hate tantrums. LOL

S woke this morning feeling normal! (she just woke about 30 minutes ago). she seen the pop tart Hunter had and squealed for him to give her some, a good sign! G just woke on the couch (said "I'm done!" LOL) hopefully the anti-nausea meds will help his tummy feel better.

we paid off the suburban today!! sears is paid off too!! Dave Ramsey would be proud of all we've paid off since last July. I'm super proud too! amazed mostly at how far we've come! I've not added up our payoff since 9-06 yet, but I know its ginormous (and embarrassing). our bill stack is blessedly shrinking and I don't often cringe at the mail coming any more. its wonderful how much weight is lifted off when you get out from under debt!
anyhoo, just had to share my relief

it was a good day. got pay offs and recycling done this morning. picked up c from my brothers. came home, got the girls, took mia home then went off w/ k and s.

I started asking K if there was anything she wanted to tell about, new/exciting stuff or anything and that got nowhere  finally I just told her I'd noticed it while doing laundry. she was like "OH, yeah, I forgot to tell you"  LMBO! it started the day they went on their field trip to six flags! only one day and she had her friends 'supplies' to help her out.
so we yakked about it a bit (we've already talked in depth before) and I asked her where she wanted to eat. she took us to zaxbys LOL!
at walmart I got her a new notebook and two pair of leggings, along with hair color (her and C want new highlights) and some more nair (and of course the usual food stuff).
the funniest thing was she didnt want to *look* at the pads. reminded me of a guy trying to buy them for his wife. I'd tell her what I preferred and was trying to explain the sizes adn she'd glance then look away down teh aisles while saying "sure, that's fine. uh huh. no, that's what I want. ok"  too funny!

I spent way too much there for the 2nd week in a row. I get over $100 at walmart and I kinda freak

dh worked on the cars today. my passenger window now works! (its never worked since we got teh MIB) he also fixed HIS passenger window AND my little SIL's passenger mirror. something about the passenger sides...

tonight dh and C are watching Taken adn Underworld.

S has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo clingy today. I've hardly gotten to put her down and she hardly goes to anyone else, except daddy. makes it really hard to get stuff done and for one sore arm!
of course we got TONS of compliments on her hair again today. I remember 5, there were probably more

church tomorrow and dont know what else... besides Farm Town :)

so tonight was interesting. when I picked the kids up from school, K told me she had a band concert tonight. ok, thanks for the heads up! LOL! we worked it out though and dh was able to meet us in town after kung fu (K didnt go, took her home to change) and he took the boys to the park and I went to the school. her band (beginning band) only played for about 15 minutes and we stayed for the 7th/8th gr band.
caught up with the boys afterwards and went to zaxbys (kids free night). dh is goign out of town tomorrow to GA til friday. *wah!*

I'm going to my moms in the morning to hang out so probably wont be on much. I'll have to take my puter to check my farm on FB

this coming monday, vicky will be watching the kids for me and I'm going to meet my big sis in the city so we can go see xmen! I'm so excited!!! girls day out!

Obama: No White House Observance for National Day of Prayer

 

Breaking tradition with President George W. Bush, the Obama administration has announced there will not be a White House observance for the National Day of Prayer this year.

"We are disappointed in the lack of participation by the Obama administration," said Mrs. Shirley Dobson, chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. "At this time in our country's history, we would hope our president would recognize more fully the importance of prayer."

The White House has indicated it will release a proclamation recognizing the National Day of Prayer on Thursday.

The National Observance will take place from 9 a.m. to noon EDT, as Dr. and Mrs. Dobson, Beth Moore and others gather in Washington, D.C., to pray for America. The event will be broadcast live on GOD TV (Channel 365 on DirecTV), Channel 138 on Sky Angel and online.

 I'm upset, mad and wishing I could go hunting for some dogs! two dogs came up and killed one of my kitties earlier. it was a small beagle and a mutt dog. I didnt get to her in time and her lungs were already punctured or crushed cause she couldnt hardly breathe. I held her til she passed on. I hope we can bury her soon, she needs to be with Ms. Tilly and Ms. Callie up under the oak tree in the back.

 well I tried to update earlier today, but lost my connection when I did. :P afer monday maybe I wont have that problem so often!

I had to run in town early today cause the school called to tell me gavin was throwing up all over the place. it came on after he'd gotten on teh bus. he was sick for about 2 hours total before his body finally quit rejecting everything. I did take him to the dr and got him some phenegran. he never napped until I was driving everyone in for kung fu, then he napped for a good hour+

he's doing well now, been eating foods and stuff like normal. guess its a good thing its the weekend now.

had a great time outside again, we stayed out til it got dark!

hmmm... sure there was more, but I've forgotten for now.
oh, do have pics, but need to upload them. may just wait for monday to do that!

we had a good day! church this morning (we were on time even) then off to the city. we hit sams to stock up, best buy for a new dvd player (our old one we've had since 2000 finally went wonky a few weeks ago), fazolis and home depot to check out blinds.
c and his friend luke had a great time at the Skillet concert last night! they got home about midnight. today they both went to practice for this thing their band is doing for the school tomorrow. they have 5 songs planned: gotta be somebody, leader of men, if everyone cared (all nickelback), wipe out and one more. my mom is taking her mixing board and video recorder for them.
then he has a ball game after that and the other kids have kung fu during.
so long day tomorrow for my big boys, I dont expect to see c or dh til bedtime.

I forgot to post that Sunday I got a Wii fit! our walmart actually had one in stock and dh let me get it! I used it yesterday for the first time and played on it for an hour. my legs are so sore today. I'm looking forward do using it more. seems I'm really good at the yoga stuff, but awful at the skiing stuff!

I got to go get me some capris last night by myself (quiet sweet quiet!). also stopped in at walmart and grabbed an easter basket with a soccer ball at half price. the kids already have plans for it. LOL!

Canaan's first game is tonight (tuesday)! and his regular practice has moved to wed/sun, so I have to change my pickup days again. no biggie. only about 5 weeks of school left anyway!

I did cold-turkey take her off bottles about a week and a half ago. she's done fine, though we've upped our nursing by probably one extra feeding a day. good trade though.

'new' wagon

last nite after my short shopping stint, as I was driving home, I seen someone was tossing out a Little Tykes wagon! I was like 'no way!' so I ended up turning around a few times thinking about snagging it from the side of the road. finally I do it! you should have seen it. that thing is huge! plus the back of my truck was loaded, so I had to STUFF that thing in there!!! but I MADE it fit!!! I need to check it out today, but it looks great from what I could tell last night, just needs cleaning up.

I crack myself up! but no way could I see it go to the trash when we could use it!

so I'm feeling so much better today! my throat only hurts enough to make me wince when I sneeze (and of course I've sneezed like 5 times today!). G and S had another ROUGH night last night. ugh. G ran a fever last night and wouldnt take any meds til about 4 or so this morning. he was up about every 20 minutes and when he wasnt whining and hollering for me, S was doing it.  thank goodness they both eventually passed out hard about 5 this morning and I got a decent stretch til 8:30.

got ready and out the door by 10. wanted to drop stuff off at the thrift store, but she's moving to a new building and wanst there. means I still have stuff in my truck, but guess it wont be in the house to be cluttered on saturday. LOL!
got a few things dropped off at the cosignment store, went to the pet shelter for K cause she's doing a scrapbook on Animal Kindness for extra credit this week. we got pics while there.
finally made it to walmart to finish getting waht I'd need for Saturday and ended up spending $67! *eek!* course taht included a new pair of shoes for K (church shoes which she had none of) and stuff for cake decorating that'll get me through all the bdays this year.
got a lot of fruit cause I decided to do fruit kabobs instead of meats (bananas, pineapple, raspberry, blueberry, grape).
I'm excited about doing the cake!
last night during my many wakign moments, i was thinking of different cakes to do for the other bdays. K is thinking tinkerbell/fairy stuff so I have all kinds of ideas blooming for that. I think I'll do a spongebob for Garrett since he's into the Bob these days. the boys are into batman and bakugans so who knows what we'll be doing. and C just wants another guitar. easy!

I also found the centerpiece for saturday, very simple, but I did stress over it (and I dont know why, I rarely have a centerpiece for anything!)
I got the fake eggs loaded (hehe, that sounds funny!) and tomorrow I'll boil up the real ones and let the kids decorate them.
I'm just doing baked beans and the dips and dh will be doing the burgers, so that'll leave plenty of time to work on the cake! I hope it comes out all right! I have lots of grand ideas, just to see if they actually turn out like I want!

  the good news for my mom is that she was released today with orders to see a heart specialist (tell me why it wasnt done while at the hospital or in the ICU?), her family dr and was put on meds for cholestorol. she's tired, but very glad to go home of course! still not sure what has been giving her chest pains, so really we dont know any more than we did yesterday.

I think S is cutting another tooth (bottom incisor). she's been waking once a night this week on me.
have I mentioned that she's been running and spinning herself in circles? its quite funny. and have I mentioned that she'll be a year old in a couple weeks? how can it be that time already??!
I've got ideas for her party and have gotten stuff together, but I have a feeling its going to sneak up on me and I wont be ready!
