romping around
mom kept the youngest three for me while C and I went up to check out the Toyota van. it sure was nice, but no go on getting it. it'll be at least another year. no biggie, we figured as much. but I at least got to see how the 8 seater sits and what kind of room is in it. I really like it and would like that to be the next vehicle we get.
we also stopped at B&N to see what was on special. they had extra discounts for teachers so we found a couple of farm books for the boys and C found a spy kit and a baseball book.
I wore my new 'baby on board' shirt today and got 2 compliments! both after hearing how much longer I had. the sales lady told me I "wear pg well' and another lady at the dealer got so tickled and said I "look so cute!" its so odd hearing compliments at this point, usually people are gasping and wondering how I'm walking.
I'm tired again today. Gavin has gotten in a habit of waking me when he gets up (usually about 7) and 'pssting' me to ask for poptarts or cereal bars til I wake up. he needs to quit that!!!! I'll be locking him in his room after the baby gets here! (hard to do when there's no locks on their doors LOL ). now watch, he's done this all week (well, he usually does this every day) and tomorrow being sunday and when we have to get up earlier, they'll ALL sleep late! little boogers.

friday stuff
got a lot more things I didnt take pics of. found 5 new shirts for K and one short outfit (.50 each), 2 shirts for C (.25 each), a new swimming mask for the kids (.25), shorts for K (.25), 4 power ranger motorcycles and a fire engine for the young boys (.50 each), burp towel for baby w/ frogs and turtles on it (.25), a Barbie Pegasus horse for K (.50) and a water babies Pooh outfit for K-she found a tigger outfit last week ;) (.25)... hmmm, I guess that's about it. probably something I missed. getting stuff washed up now so I can wear my new shirts this weekend! ^_^
we had lunch at McDs with Papaw on his lunch break so the kids loved that. then when we were done yard saling, we went to walmart. that place just wears me out!
while there the Toyota dealer called and said they'd gotten in an 8 seater Sienna, so I'm going to try to go up and check it out tomorrow while mom watches the kids. probably wont be able to get it at this point, but I can drive it to see how I like it and the seating arrangements on it. (and dream and wish LOL! )
and mom agreed that I should get my bag packed. LOl!

33wk dr appt
course we still have just over 6 weeks of growing to do, so baby could well be H's size or better (just hoping not Canaan's size) cause H was measuring the same at this point, so we'll have to keep an eye on him.
In position as well, which I'm very glad of!
Dr. P did make notes on my chart about fast labors when my water breaks. LOL! I dont mind those fast labors at all, as long as I'm at the hospital for a catcher! LOL!
didnt sleep well last night, so all tired today. called mom after I got home so I could take a nap before getting the kids and got about an hours rest when she called and said Hunter had had an accident. seems he was being his hard-headed self and wouldnt listen about not running behind the big tree swing while Katlyn was swinging. so he got a good thwack on the side of the head that really had her stressin.
he seems to be fine, a little red place on his cheek from some small busted blood vessels, but otherwise fine. he says it doesnt hurt, only the back side where he landed on the ground. told her I guess he blocked out the first thump. that kid gets into more scrapes than another other of mine. you'd never know it though cause Gavin looks like he's been boxing! he's got a little black eye under the right eye-he has no idea how he got it, a long scratch on his left cheek from one of the cats, a pinpoint scratch on each nostril (looks like he's got earring studs in his nose on both sides LOL ) and a big scab under his nose just over his lip where he sucks on his lip for whatever reason. Lord, that child looks rough.
over here at mom's now. we may stay for dinner. she's got a good country dinner going on: beans, taters, pot roast and all the fixins. sounds real good to me!!
oh, I'm on 2 week visits now, my next is on May 10th I think, then again 2 weeks after that, then I'll be on one weekers!

ouch and ouch!
officially 33 weeks today!!!!!! I'm feeling huge! little one has been doing this stretching thing the past couple of days that has me worried! LOL! either he's really sprouted or he's gotten into a different position cause DANG if it doesnt hurt!!!! he pushes his legs out my left side and his butt out the right and it hit this nerve that's tender going down my right side. it actually makes me gasp and "ouch!" whenever he does it. (did it during sunday school this morning )
I'm finally keeping some weight on again. up to 176.5 here at home, been there for a few days now, so I figure it'll stick. been fluctuating between 174-176 for quite a while now, so guess its about time.

belly pics updated
Baby doesn't really take up much room. I'm feeling good so far that he'll be an average size fella and not one to rearrange my innards like a couple of his brothers did.
my belly is still measuring 43" at the largest point, no change from a couple weeks ago when I first measured. But I've only gone up 7 1/2" from the beginning of the pregnancy (believe it or not LOL) so I'm not worried.
Baby is certainly an active little thing. I think he'll love stretching his legs when he gets out, he sure tries his best right now out my left side. I bet he'll be rubbing his head a lot too. I can constantly feel him doing that. :)

Easter fun update!
Happy Resurrection Jesus (thank you!) and a beautiful day to all!
got a ton of pics to share from this afternoon. will post those in a sec. Church was good, really enjoyed it! I even had some words of wisdom given to me (the spirit gave them to the sunday school teacher to give me-along with other people who had words given). which was really cool, cause it was totally on the mark in something I could understand.
they went like this
1. Your best is yet to come
2. I'll give you wisdom to pass on to your children
3. I'll not change the course I've called you to
now, these are significant to me because I've been having many doubts lately about if I'm a good homeschool mom. (the usual, 'do I do enough', 'how long will I do this', 'is it the best thing', etc...) now, the teacher today does NOT know that I homeschool nor did I say a thing about any of it, its all just been on my heart and mind for a while. so to have those words spoken to me really say a lot and give me a refreshment. so awesome the way God does that!
for service, the group my mom sings with did a special song, His Life For Mine. My mom had put together a video presentation to sing along with the song on the overheads with footage from The Passion and man, it was SO good! everyone was riveted on the screens, just so touching with such beautiful music.
oh, another great thing, Hunter finally got a quiet seat prize at sunday school!!! its been a few months since that happened! LOL!!
we went to my moms after church and started dinner. Dad and the kids got there about an hour later and dh was right behind them. dinner was great, grilled chicken, burgers and hotdogs with mashed taters, corn, baked beans, chips and salad. *yum yum!* mom also fixed banana pudding. hehe!
after the food settled a bit, we sent the kids down to the creek with papaw so we could hide the eggs (over 200 of them!). the kids had a blast to say the least! they all made out with money, some more than others. LOL!
gavin found $22
Hunter found $14
Katlyn found $13
Canaan found $12
the other kids (Anthony and Hayley) also found $, but I cant remember how much). the rest was in CANDY so yes, we are plenty stocked on chocolate for a while! LOL! oh, some real eggs too that mom and I did.
so it was a blast. my brother and SIL came over after the egg hunt and brought Tyson (mini-pincher) and he entertained everyone. he learned how to slide down the slide by himself (so funny!) and the kids got pushed and twirled on the big tree swing. they are surely very worn out tonight!

the night
I was asked how much longer I had tonight and they were impressed that I've only got about 9 weeks! told me I look great! that made me feel SO good cause usually by this time everyone is telling me how HUGE I am and feel sorry for me.
I've had some harsh braxtons tonight. dang things are making it hard to walk through them without hunching over. :P a couple of cramps too, nothing that worries me though. ;)

same and different
had a thought today of putting down some of the differences/similarities of my different pgs. :) I love going back to read in my journals to see what was going through my head or going on with my body at the same stage I am now.
so, here goes:
pg #5 yet-to-be-named
-braxtons are tolerable most days
-very rare cramping, but round ligament pains suck eggs!
-pelvic pain is much worse if I've been laying on a firm surface or in the same position for a long time.
-baby is very active, can feel his feet rubbing across my belly.
-belly button is pooched out at night only across the top, so not really popped yet.
-baby is measuring a week behind to right on time.
-dropped 2 lbs at my appt last week
-cervix is softened, yet no dilation. (which is a good thing! LOL)
-baby is not engaged
-I weigh 176
-no sciatic pain, carpal tunnel, numb fingers or other oddball stuff going on. (loudly knocking on wood here!!! )
pg #4 Hunter
-had terrible pg carpal tunnel that kept me in a splint on my right hand and made it dang hard to type! LOL! my left was effected too, just not as bad as the right one.
-at 32 weeks, found he was a tranverse breech baby.
-had a lot of cramping around this time that sent me to the dr for a cervical check, JIC.
-so many braxtons that the top of my tummy felt bruised from the activity. also racked with backaches.
-dropped 3 lbs at my dr. check (remember I dropped 2 at my last appt this time, and I dropped a few at the same point with Gavin)
-still no name at this time (boy, does THAT sound familiar!!)
-Hunter was measuring ahead at 32 cm when I was 30 weeks.
-I was 187 lbs
-baby is definitely not engaged
-my skin felt very itchy all the time
pg #3 Gavin
- had placental abruption at 12 weeks, thought for sure we'd lost our baby.
-during my later 2nd tri, C and K contracted 5ths disease and freaked me out.
-BP ran a smidge higher than normal (one entry had it at 132/88).
-Gavin measured about a week ahead when my belly was measured.
-my belly button was pooching out at this point.
-I was 188 lbs
-didnt take the 3 hr glucose. ;)
-baby is not engaged
pg #2 Katlyn
-she's VERY active and my belly button is just starting to pooch
-I was 186 lbs (the previous dr appt entry had me up 3 lbs, so I also lost weight at this point with her)
-had a 2nd u/s to confirm size (and got another gender shot)
-braxtons were "driving me crazy and I've been crampy a little in my pelvis area"
-she's head down and engaged
pg#1 Canaan
-no dilation or softening yet
-my legs get tired very easy from carrying this 'canonball' in my belly ( LOL )
-average about 20 braxtons a day
-the middle finger of my right hand was numb for about the last 8+ weeks.
-sciatic pain was kicking my butt (literally)
-"my belly's getting heavy. I think I need a harness to hold it up." ( LOL )
-had a baby shower during my last week of work
-We have a solid name!
-head is lowering into the birth canal... OW my puddy!
-dr.s estimated weight by palpatating my belly was 6.14 lbs (geez, and they didnt think he'd be big at birth???)
-no dilation
-I weighed 190.5 lbs

storm damage
The Gallatin area I was talking about turned out to be the same area that Robert has been working in the past week! but yesterday he was moved from that job and moved into Nashville! the tornado took out whole affluent subdivisions, huge gas stations, huge car dealerships and everything. huge mess! my OB and hospital are on the west side of all that happened. Gavin's eye dr is closer to that area though, so I'm hoping they all made it ok.
My sister works/lives in the area of Hendersonville/Goodlettesville that was hit. My mom no longer works down there now and it was south of where Kimmy was. it hit close to my neice Courtney's school, but not at it. Kimmy's house wasnt hit, but her SIL (who lives in a subdivision behind her) had the streets behind her hit very hard and they'll be w/o power for at least a week. Kimmy's SIL will be staying with her mom (Kimmy's MIL) til all is restored.
Kimmy's mom (adopted mom) was driving up through all this mess to pick up Courtney for the weekend, but was ahead of the bad storms by minutes.
the storms north of us were mainly to the northeast, not where my family lives (to the north and then directly east of us). so we are all safe!
the pictures are terrible and I feel so bad for all the people that lost everything, and there are a LOT of them out there.
I've gotta run in town today to cash an expense check for dh. he's going to IN this coming week (same place he was the other week).
I've not taken a belly pic yet, gotta get some makeup on first.
