I forgot to post that Sunday I got a Wii fit! our walmart actually had one in stock and dh let me get it! I used it yesterday for the first time and played on it for an hour. my legs are so sore today. I'm looking forward do using it more. seems I'm really good at the yoga stuff, but awful at the skiing stuff!

I got to go get me some capris last night by myself (quiet sweet quiet!). also stopped in at walmart and grabbed an easter basket with a soccer ball at half price. the kids already have plans for it. LOL!

Canaan's first game is tonight (tuesday)! and his regular practice has moved to wed/sun, so I have to change my pickup days again. no biggie. only about 5 weeks of school left anyway!

dang, I know there was other stuff I wanted to yak about...

Sarina says "hi" and waves to almost anyone now. its so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!
I did cold-turkey take her off bottles about a week and a half ago. she's done fine, though we've upped our nursing by probably one extra feeding a day. good trade though.

in good news

Canaan had a good first day of school. he of course talked about things til he went to get on the bus today. ;) we had a lot of paperwork to sign and send back for him. I dont remember having so much stuff from when I was in school. It was a different school though.
I pray things continue to go well for him. He says he likes all his teachers so far, except the Language teacher, who is actually a substitute til mid September, who doesnt like to give extra credit. :)
Today will start some real work for him. Not that I expect him to come in with bucket loads of work, but yesterday all he had was a one page written work for his math teacher about things such as what he did for summer, his family, favorite color and food.
Today is also soccer practice, luckily no early practice to worry about. Though I will worry about the heat. its so awful out this week. 100's all the way around. :( The fun thing though is the coach is planning on bringing water balloons to practice. :)

can someone PLEASE tell my youngest to start pooping with normalcy?! my gosh. he had a blowout at the park, which I didn't realize til I was getting him in his carseat. then we left there to go to mcds for dinner and while I was waiting for my food, he blew up again! of course our mcds has no change table in the bathrooms! so back out to the van to clean him up once more.
does anyone think he may have a milk allergy? will that give you the runs a lot? I have no idea as none of us or anyone in the family has any milk allergies. I just dont know what to think as to why he's having such watery poops.

practice was fine. long, but fine. LOL! got there before 4 and coach was just a wee bit late. I took the little ones to the playground for an hour. they played in the sandboxes and everything. got nice and dirty/sweaty. LOL!
G was fascinated with the sandbox of course. other than that he liked just roaming around with me behind him, steering him where I wanted to keep him at.

tomorrow we'll be going to my moms for dinner!

Thursday is another early practice for goalie work. we'll have to leave a bit early that day so we can grab some dinner and then head to the school for Canaan's Open House. he's very excited!

the lowdown

daddy made it to practice tonight which the kids loved! he enjoyed watching them since he's not really seen many soccer games. they did a scrimmage tonight against a U-10 league team. they came out tied at the end.
while dh was there, I took the 3 youngest with me to Tasha's house. she had a bag of clothes for the boys and I had 2 bags of clothes for her to go through for Landon. she took all the clothes I had and I took all she had except 2 pieces for the boys. nice jeans/shirts, even some with tags still on. G and Landon played a bit while there. of course the first thing G did was go pull Landon's hair. *blush* poor L, he's like "who is this bully?!!" :-D

then came home and started dinner (spaghetti!) and dh, C and K got home not long after.

mom's watching the kids for me tomorrow. I've got 4 shops to do. have another due in town before friday night. might just do that one ON friday while in town... or maybe thursday before practice.

I'm tired tonight. bleh! I did get to sleep in this morning! G woke at 7:30, but I pacied him and laid him back down and he slept til after 9! I woke before he did. awesome when he does that! LOL!!

dh and I have talked and we will let C enroll this year. I've gotta get it done this coming week though cause school starts on the 6th. he's excited, but nervous. it'll be very odd not having him here during the day.

zombiefied but making it

we had a good day. G never has taken a good nap today, even with that sucktacular sleep he had. he did cat nap twice, but that's it.  he better sleep well tonight.

after dropping C off at practice I went to wmart to do the one hour photo, but thought I'd forgotten the film. searched my whole purse too. (turns out, I found it IN my purse after getting home. ) so we just wandered around wmart for a while. did find a new book I've been waiting on and picked up some .10 notebooks for the kids (they love using them to draw in)

I called the soccer coach while out too, cause yesterday I heard him talking that we were short a couple of players to be equal with the other teams. so I asked if C could signup and be on the team. he called the head guy and was happy to say its a go!! so he'll be there for practice tomorrow! he's excited, but nervous cause he's never played soccer before, but enjoyed doing it with them at practice on Tuesday.
K got to get out there and taught him some stuff today too, so that made her feel big.
so we'll go in a bit early tomorrow to get him some shin guards that fit (he was trying K's from 3 yrs ago tonight, but they're not big enough to cover those long legs LOL)
OH, funny thing while talking to the coach, he was asking about K and stuff and he asked how old she was (her league goes from 10-13) and I told him she'd just turned 10. he was VERY surprised and told me he'd been thinking she was at least 12.
I took the kids to Wendy's tonight for dinner. it was dang HOT outside. :P

just today stuff

we had a good afternoon. K's soccer practice went well and it had cooled down a bit by then with the clouds and stuff, so that made it better. I ran some errands after I dropped her off. had to get some gas, mail some letters and stuff.

C called during the last half hour of K's practice cause they were on the way home. they won tonight! 4-3!! so from the way I understand it, if one certain other team loses their last game, that team is out and C's team gets to head to state! the coach will call tomorrow to let us know.

the kids were great at practice (they do much better at the soccer fields than the ball fields for some reason). I'd bought a box of Crunch n Munch to snack on while at walmart, so we snacked on that and the other stuff I'd brought (baby didn't get any of course, he had animal crackers)

dinner was tacos/nachos! and I of course ate too much, so feel like crapola.  you'd think I'd learn one of these years!

tomorrow as far as I know: NO PRACTICES!! we can stay at home all day! and its supposed to rain a lot, so that's perfect!

going to my moms soon. she's watching 3 of the kids for me today while I
take C to the ball game. I've gotta take the baby with me cause she's
got a room to move for my aunt who's going to be moving in for a while.
so at least it'll be easier with just Garrett than with all of them. K,G
and H were just as bad as little G yesterday, as in "are we done yet?"
"can we leave?" etc. so now its just the baby to take care of. it'll
still be hard cause its so hot out there and no shade unless the same
people bring that tent thingy and we can smush in a corner of it. wont
be home til around 7 (to get the kids).

in bad news, it looks like Gavin has some poison ivy again! its on his
right hand between his ring/middle finger and looks like big scratches
on his face under his right eye! he woke with it yesterday like that
(the scratches) and we thought he just scratched himself while asleep,
but now its getting little raised bumps on it. I really hate poison
ivy! ugh.

maybe playing in the pool at my moms will help to dry it up.

practice and a big 5 Birthday tomorrow!

practices went well tonight. it was super hot when C started his, but an hour later when K started the clouds had moved in and so did the breeze and it was a nice day to be out (finally!). K got kicked in the knee and jabbed in the side today, but came through fine (other than complaining about boys in general LOL! ).

C has to be at practice at 9 am. I swear this coach doesnt work on fridays. so I'm getting all my bills done tonight and my grocery list as well. I'll just take the paper in with me in the morning.

dh will be coming home tomorrow!! FINALLY!! we've missed him!!!

not sure what we'll be doing for H's bday. we may get him a spiderman cake/cupcakes or just bake some. not even sure what I'm getting him (isnt that sad??) he's liking transformers again (of course) so maybe I'll find an indestructible one to get he got a bday card from the church today and he was feeling mighty special! so while I'm not busy:

to our little rowdy rough-house Hunter Gabriel Mackenzie, who doesnt seem to know his name unless I use at least 2 when calling him! We love you so much and you never cease to keep us on our toes!

soccer mom starts again!

soccer practice went well. it rained the whole entire time we were there.  and yes, they practiced in the rain. it was a slow steady rain, no lightening (except one flash I seen when we first got there) and no thunder. I did take my chair and umbrella though, thank goodness, but of course C and K were soaked to the bone afterwards.
The coach complimented Katlyn on her 'inner right kick' (?) saying she was really good at it. said he didnt expect any of the kids to know it, but she was really good and to keep it up!  there's mostly girls too (2 kids didnt show, total of 10 team members and 3 today were boys) and it looks like she already picked up at least one friend today.  plus in really good news, my good friend who lives up the road (but stays so dang busy) has her oldest son on the team with us!  so I'll get in a bunch of blabbing time it seems!

took the kids to taco bell afterwards. we were all freezing though cause of being wet.  then got some gas in the little car (drove dh's little ford focus), then to walmart for burritos and cat food and piddled around for a while. tried to find K some black shorts, but could NOT find any in her size.  even checked the boys department. so we went to dollar store and got her some cotton ones we found.

then to moms to get the 3 youngest.

it was bed time when we got home, so C and K grabbed quick showers and everyone is sleeping now. G was more than ready to pass out for me!

tomorrow I guess I'll go to sams. nothing else to do but hang out here. :P I get so bored when dh isnt here. even if we hang out at the house it doesnt feel as boring if he's here!

C's team won again tonight! 6-5. they're now the "toughest team" in the league so far. they still have 8 games to go. C struck out once and made it to first the 2nd time. didnt get to bat a 3rd cause the kid before him struck out. they didnt do the best at batting tonight, but they did great fielding which kept the game tight.


after the game we came home and watch Night at the Museum. GREAT movie!! :-) definitely a keeper!

quiet

sitting in the quiet now. all the kids went down easy. after school we played outside for the longest time. they rode the 4wheeler, played some gameboys, rode bikes/skates, played in the water (new nozzle on the hose = too irresistible to pass up :-D ) and more. I got my maters watered and staked up (poor things were flopped over from the sun today) and moved a bunch of hostas from one flower bed that were getting choked out by ivy. also made a new place under my willow tree. put hostas under there, after putting down weed paper. will still need to put mulch on it soon! hopefully dh's check will be good enough that we can get a load of mulch this coming weekend. I have several places I need to fill!

got the house vac'ed this morning, but never did get to laundry, though the kids did get the dirty sheets off the beds. (still gotta do my own before I lay down).

it did rain through lunch time, but the rest of the day was nice. I'm actually hoping it rains out C's ballgame tomorrow so it can be pushed back so dh can be here for it. bad mommy, but with him being an assistant coach, he loves making the games. I love him being there too, it really helps C to have his dad cheer him on.

my mom and SD are heading to Gatlinburg on thursday for a long weekend. I'd love to go, but oh well. she's already looking forward to the perfume shops.

superbowl sunday

we stayed home today. :P I was looking forward to going to church this morning, but the roads were covered up again and the backroads to church are mighty dangerous.  they were clear by noon of course, so I took our movies back and stopped and got KFC for our dinner for the rest of the day. been forever since we ate from there.
tonight, watched the superbowl, GO COLTS!  wasn't much of a game though, really. and the commercials I wasn't impressed with either. there were a couple that I thought were funny, but really, where did the inspiration go?  ah well. it was kinda boring basically watching it by myself. I miss hubby. :( Canaan would pop in and out to catch up on what was going on, but nothing like dh being next to me to gripe about the plays. hehe!
he'll get to be in on Tuesday at least. I also go get our taxes done that day, so hopefully it'll be a great day!!

the PB bars are gone as of tonight. the kids scarfed down what was left. I really need to lighten upon the snacking cause man oh man, its gonna catch up with me really quick if I don't!  I'm still hanging in a size 12 and I want to keep it that way or go smaller. I tend to have a problem with inching up. :P

OH, forgot to mention I think that Garrett started waving yesterday!  its SO cute cause he only waves his hand, not his whole arm, its kinda like a queen or some royalty with how they just do the hand wave at the crowd. LOL!
his diaper rash is clearing up a bit at a time. I do think the Activia yogurt is helping him go, but maybe its making his poos acidic? he's definitely gone more today (he did have a butt pill yesterday morning, but worked it out really fast). tonight he almost had a blowout!  that would be the first time for him to have one!
got him in the bath tonight cause he's been a mess while eating, plus for his rash and he just has a ball. doesn't care for toys at all, just wants to play with the water (soaking everything he can) and staring at the baby staring at him in the spigot! ^_^ he stays in til the water turns cold then he's ready to get out. I do like that he doesn't mind getting his head/face wet. he thinks its funny (reminds me of Canaan and Gavin).

I watched One Night with the King today too.  very good movie! even Katlyn watched most of it with me. (for those that don't know, its a movie about Queen Esther).

yes, still here. (I get tired of saying that, sometime I gotta say nope, I'm over there! LOL)
still losing some gunk from yesterday off and on, still crampy off and on and contracting off and on. (all this off and on stuff, geez!) gets lots of pressure sometimes that hurts too.

dh took C to ball practice (glad I didn't have to go in town again). we went to Wal-Mart with mom and got some walking in, whatever good it did. but I did get stuff I needed to make it through past Friday if I'm not able to go to the grocery (please please PLEASE!!!!!!!!). plus some algae killer for the pool.

oh, we have a mouse in the house. : does that stupid mouse not realize that if I get a chance in my current mood I will literally stomp it???!!! argh!! its been years since we had a mouse! I've got the cabinets open so the cats can hopefully get it and dh will set some traps tonight. get that stinkin thing OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!

have I mentioned how grouchy I am today? not a pretty site.

Canaan's team won their game last night! it was a skunk of 12-1! more ice cream! C played first base tonight and dh said he did a great job 'gloving'.

his poison ivy is so-so. what's on his right forearm is clearing up easily. what's on his cheek is kinda iffy. we also found possible spots on his tummy and on his lower spine. not sure about his back, it *could* be heat rash, but I medicated it, JIC. I am kinda worried about the one on his face, it streaks across his cheekbone. at first we thought he'd been smacked by a branch, but its welped up and no scratch is there, plus a new spot has appeared under it. I cover it wtih gauze at night so he wont mess with it in his sleep (do the same to his arm through the day). he looks like he's been in a fight.

had C's ballgame tonight! they won!! final score 14-3 against the next hardest team right now. WTG boys! Canaan scored 4 outs while in outfield and 4 runs (out of 5) while batting. he didnt get home the first time before the 3rd out was made. he made some awesome plays, including when he stole 2nd once which was really close! need to teach that boy to run faster! he played shortstop and first base tonight. I was on the phone with dh for most of the game giving him a play by play. LOL!

afterwards we met my mom and stepdad in town cause they came in to eat. they had mexican. I really shouldnt have had anything. I got some bean/cheese dip and ate some of gavin's rice and had water. I'm so stuffed. dang my stubborn "this tastes so good" self! ugh!

the only thing I have planned for tomorrow is a sonic shop from 5-8pm. they had me from 8-close again but I asked for a change. good grief people! I've had offers for other shops, namely for BP. they pay ok and arent hard to do, mostly filling out forms and taking pics, but they take at least an hour and I wouldnt get the paperwork for about 2 weeks. I dont think now is the time to take a shop that I have to put off for a couple weeks! no biggie, and they understood.

 

my birthday!

I've had a good day, took today to celebrate my bday since mom could watch the kids for us and it was a happy day! have pics to post too at the end.

started out with dh going to get Canaan signed up for baseball! dh will be an assistant coach this year again and he's looking forward to the new team (last years coach totally sucked eggs) so we switched teams, moved up and hope for a much better year!
about 1 we took the kids to my moms. we had snow last night, which wasn't much, but without getting out of the 20's today it made the roads kinda bad for most of the morning... so dh did all the driving.
headed off to the next city cause I was hungry for some Outback!! well, they didn't open till 3, so we went to Sams club and walked around (not members, so just browsing) found some good deals of course.
we got back to OB about 2:45 and waited. nothing like being one of the first in! hehe! we weren't the first IN the building, but with dh's finagling, we were the first to be seated!
we got the blooming onion and I got the outback special. I just love their steaks. my gosh!
the waitress brought us out a big ol hot fudge sundae at the end too for my bday.
it was all so good. my gosh, I'm embarrassed to say I ate so much, but I cleaned my plate... and my salad bowl, and about a half loaf of their bread and probably half that bloomin onion! plus about 3 or 4 Dr. Peppers!
in ALL seriousness, you know how when you drink, it doesn't hit till you stand up? well, none of this all hit till I stood up! I couldn't take a full breath!!! : OMGOsh, it was pitiful! I felt like I had a concrete block in half my belly trying to breathe around it! I was so miserable... but it all tasted so good! hehe!!
we went to the mall afterwards cause dh was wanting to find a pair of shoes (which he never found what he wanted) and I was literally holding my tummy with my hands cupped under it cause I was SO dang FULL! awful, pitiful. go into the restaurant looking 6 months pg, come out looking like it birth time!!!
while there we met some people we knew, including brother and SIL. we swapped belly stories of the day and relaxed while the menfolk did their magazine rounds.
at JCP I found a nice clearance on winter maternity! got me two tops for 3.77 each (will post pics).

after being in there till after 6 we headed home. I was beat and food was finally settling ( LOL).

we got to my moms around 7 or so and she gave me my bday pressie! she got me the Kecci bag I've been drooling over!! (got a pic!) its so pretty!! and much bigger than I thought! I was worried it'd be a mini diaper bag, but nope, lots of space without being huge! I love it! my first designer bag (would know it'd be a diaper bag ) and I'm thrilled!

um, lets see..

oh, played on moms internet (since she has DSL) and finally found dh a new ringtone for his new phone. (he HAD to switch phones today cause his antenna broke on the old one.) and he got Raiders of the Lost Ark. just his style. hehe!

Canaan got back from Louisville after we got to moms. they had a safe trip, though they seen many accidents along the way! (icy roads and all that). his favorite thing is that he saw Big Tom and Kentucky Joe from Survivor there and got their autographs. he called me up to tell me that earlier today. he was SO excited. LOL!

oh, I got several bday cards in the mail today too! woo!
