this morning, I was just listening to a news story about a captain on a shrimp boat that delivered his cooks baby. he'd never delivered before, but got out the first aid kit and got to work. the baby was born breech and got its head stuck, but after he did CPR for about 20 minutes, the baby started breathing! the mother named the baby after the captain. I was all choked up about that. I dont remember how long its been since I was SO dang emotional during a pg!!!

the water works!
I have to say, I'm SUCH a waterbox anymore!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!! I cry at the drop of a hat! if I SEE someone crying, that's it! if I hear a touching story, that's it. pass the kleenex cause I'm gonna need the box!! I was a MESS watching extreme home makeover on sunday. dh just handed me a hand towel he had.

is the day over now?
**from earlier today**
so I'm feeling like so much crapola today. my eyes are kinda hurting right now. I did get a short nap with G, maybe 45 minutes. he's still sleeping thank goodness. I'm not feeling bad as far as green feeling (which kinda bothers me cause I felt pretty ok for most of the day yesterday as well) just icky feeling I guess cause of the congestion stuff. I'm not in the best of moods either, kinda crabby.
I have gotten pics to share today, most of them courtesy of G-man and his antics.
we watched Howl's Moving Castle today, it was good. all the kids even sat to watch it (which is big cause G and H dont usually sit for a whole movie).
I made sugar cookies today too. not homemade, the pillsbury kind you just cut and stick on the pan. they're good though.
G has been on a mess spree today. he's dumped a glass of sprite, been IN the dishwasher twice, in the OVEN once, on the table I dont even know how many times, in the game systems of course and more. maybe that's why I'm so crabby.

so I'm very ready for bed! I think I'll read some Inuyasha before heading there though. I deserve it. G continued his mess-spree the rest of the day. some of his antics include:
nearly pulling the big skillet off the stove while I was cutting up chicken, pulling the plate of cookies off the counter, pulling the pile of plates for dinner off the counter (which I caught just in time), turning the kitchen light off/on a dozen or so times, sitting on the kitchen bar playing with cups (that means he climbed up in the barstools again and then got on the counter). ugh, he keeps me on my toes! I dont know if I've had a kid to enjoy climbing as much as he does! sure all the others climbed, but its like he's got a set of hiking boots built in!!
he was 'jailed' in the PNP several times tonight while we did things like dishes and me finishing up dinner. dh told him "see, bad boys go to jail" :-D
fixed hamburger helper tonight, though I used chicken instead and did the enchilada dinner. it was good, but I ate too much and felt like a bigger piece of crapola afterwards. still not feeling the best, but can drink my water (much needed).
we took the plunge and ordered an additional line on our cell plan for the kids. just one though. they have a pre-paid phone, but dang if it doesn't use up $ like crazy. plus when C was on the square the other night, I couldn't reach him at all cause it had run through all the $ I'd put on it, mostly in that .35 every day just cause you have it charge. >:o so at least we know they'll have a phone that actually works all the time. I was able to get dh a new phone too in the process. we'll do it this way: dh gets the phone I just ordered (he wanted one like I have) and the kids get his old phone which also has pics/video on it. everyone's happy and the phone I got tonight was free. it'll be here this week and then dh can quit complaining that 'everyone gets a new phone but him'. so the new line is $10 a month, which is what it cost a month to keep that pre-paid phone running for a month, plus they'll have the rollover minutes and free mobile to mobile. works for me!
oh, and C will be able to use it the first time on Thursday when he goes to a Titans football game with his cousin! he's very excited about that! no school on friday this week, it'll be the first parent/teacher conferences.

I'm dealing with some stuffy nose stuff now. not really that bad, just have to take a sudafed about 3x a day to help keep it at bay and so I can sleep at night, along with a slathering of Vicks under my nose to keep me open. it seems to be going around the area though. not sure if its allergies or what. my eyeballs were itching and watering like nuts this afternoon, drove me crazy!!
oh gosh, we watched Extreme makeover HE tonight and I was baaaaaaawwwwwwwling!! omgosh. cant watch other people cry, it sends me over the edge! dh kept asking "you ok?" "you crying?" he just gave me a hand towel he had next to him. :-D
I've not gained any weight yet. I'm staying in the 4 lb range I've been hanging in the last few months. always amazes me cause it seems like I eat a lot, but then again, I really dont. my breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal with 2 pieces of toast and some OJ (which OJ leaves a terrible taste in my mouth, same as milk), lunch was a chicken sandwich with some fries and half a mushroom and swiss, I was HUNGRY! LOL! my dinner was 5 dill pickle chips, about 1/2 a chicken breast on bread w/ cheese and a bowl of vanilla ice cream (I could have done w/o the ice cream :P ). so not really a lot for me. I get so full feeling I think I eat a lot, but when I think of what I've eaten, its not much. LOL! today was one of the 'good days' as far as how I felt though. on the bad days its mostly crackers and stuff like that. I need to buy some more saltines though. the ones we have are salt-free. I want my crackers with SALT!
did get in a nap today with G after lunch. he slept much longer than I did, which pushed his bedtime back to about 10:30. I'm tired again already though, so need to get my butt on to bed!

felt like much dog-poo today off and on. I had to go do a shop I got
well paid for at lunch time. stopped at a homeschool book store and
decided what I wanted for Gavin's language books (nope, still havent
gotten those) and headed home for a nap. well, kinda nap. I think I
slept for about 45 minutes total, but I do feel better at least.

oh, before I left out, I found a cicada out on the carport. I got C so
he could see it and he promptly took it inside to scare someone. I
could hear K screaming all the way outside.
I picked me up some pink lemonade mix yesterday, so now I can at least
drink something besides water or Dr. P. half the time water tastes very
nasty to me and I cant drink tea during my early pgs, and I sure dont
need to drink DP all the time.
I also had to pull out my wrist brace. my left wrist is a bit inflamed
it seems and hurts when bent, so I'll wear it for a while til it starts
feeling better. usually its my right wrist that bothers me though and
it's feeling fine. kinda odd.
I'll be taking C in town in a bit. he's going to a benefit up on the
square that his *gasp* g/f's family is having for her grandfather. yes,
g/f, sort of. I dont think she's given the "yes" yet, but he talks about
he ALL the time. she's actually our neighbor, but they didnt get to meet
til he started riding the bus cause her driveway is like a mile long.
C is already asking about the dance coming up in October and all that.

I should have taken a lasso with me today. things would have gone much smoother that way. the boys acted like I'd filled them up on chocolate before taking them out into public. I had to make a stop at the home-health place to pick up crutches for DH and oh.my.gosh. you'd have thought they entered a circus arena!! Garrett was NOT happy to ride on my hip, so wandered around shaking the oxygen bottles, pulling stuff off the shelves, etc. The boys took it to mean they could climb all over the handled seats, handled toilets, climb on the oxygen tank containers, racing around and falling over the handled seats, trying out ALL the chairs in the place... I told the lady (luckily who knew dh) that I was glad we could entertain her for a little while today. Thank goodness she had a sense of humor and didnt get upset with the boys (unlike myself).
we still had to go to the store after that. they didnt sneak anything into the cart on me at least! LOL! of course they were too busy acting like ninjas the whole time to bother with that. *sigh*
I was more than glad to be home, though I did stop by and pick up a couple of burgers for the boys before heading there. they were giving free fries away at hardees today and the girl gave me two orders free. I munched on one of those all by myself on the way home.

we went to my moms for my stepdads 50th birthday last night. she had some ribeye steaks that were OH so good! G got fed (twice) and while I was eating he's at the table breathing all over mine and moms plates (he's between us). trying to poke a finger at the things he thinks are interesting, mostly the bread. does he really want anything else though? no, he just likes breathing all over the food and whining for a bite, only to promptly spit it out on the table with a look like 'what'd ya give me that for??'. yet he keeps breathing and whining for more til he gets a piece of cake.
he had to be bathed after that.
shopping should be fun today, just the three little ones with me. thats like having 3 wild animals on a leash trying to tame them.
oh, C gets his school pics today! I'm kind of upset with him on what he wore. I wanted him to wear one of his cool button downs w/ a white tee under it, but no. this morning he puts on his Minnesota twins tee and tells me he stuck the button down in his backpack. uh, no thanks, you'll look like you slept in the laundry basket.
oh well.

baby is napping, have had to coax him into it a couple of times, but the little booger is so tired, he really needs that good nap. Katlyn is working on math and the boys are outside playing in the water table.
my boy cats were brought back home today along with 2 big bags of kitty food. they shot out of those carrier's like spikes were on their butts!
I put up one load of laundry on the line and the whites are washing up now. only one load of laundry left to be caught up for the week!
for lunch we had homemade tortilla pizzas and chips/dip. we also watched a couple Nest Ent. movies since Katlyn wanted to after reading about Lazarus in her history book. we ended up watching movies on Solomon and Joseph.

I finally got G-man down. little booger never napped for me today til
after 4, which then of course took about an hour nap. so that fueled him
on til just a bit ago. I was SO glad to go lay him down cause I had to

mac and cheese, just like breakfast. how bad is that? I'm at an impasse
though where just not much of anything sounds good. I'm not nauseous yet
to anything (except the thought of shrimp really turns me off LOL) just
nothing screams EAT ME right now. I did fix myself some chicken salad
sandwiches for dinner. it was just a sandwich night w/ also leftover
spaghetti. I hate not having something I actually want to eat. how silly
does that sound? course I guess its a good thing considering where my
weight is starting out this time. maybe its my body's way of saying
'watch it toots!'

Thank you!
I wanted to thank everyone that's posted and all those who have emailed and called me (my little Sis!) with the congrats on our new baby! It means a lot to us! :D
My mom was over today and said she's still trying to wrap her head around it. LOL (You'd think by this time it'd not be so hard ;). she was awesome today while here. she helped me get the house in order and I feel like I'm in charge again! house picked up, dishes got done, floors vac'ed and clothes washed. having two generals in charge moved things a whole lot faster! :) awesome!!
I had my first bought of "dang that's a nasty smell" tonight while fixing dinner. dh wanted shrimp with our alfredo noodles, so all I had to do was thaw and de-tail them. Oh My Gosh! I had to keep my head turned to the side cause the smell of the shrimp was NAS-TAY to me!!!! :yuck: even cooking the stuff I had to stand back and not breathe it in. he told me he'd fix it if I needed him to. LOL! it wasn't a 'make me sick' smell, it's only to the point of giving me the willies when I smell it. LOL! of course after being outside later, when I walked back in, that's all I smelled for a while. :-p
funny thing though, my last pg, I craved shrimp scampi for weeks during my first tri. aint NO way that's happening this time!!
Katlyn is asking if we know that its a girl yet. ;) Canaan is happy to finally be able to tell whoever he wants (he inadvertantly found out a couple days before we told the family and I had him keep it mum!)

we just told the family yesterday at gavin's bday party, which turned out to be a great way of doing things. it was SO much fun to see them solve the riddle!!

in good news
Canaan had a good first day of school. he of course talked about things til he went to get on the bus today. ;) we had a lot of paperwork to sign and send back for him. I dont remember having so much stuff from when I was in school. It was a different school though.
I pray things continue to go well for him. He says he likes all his teachers so far, except the Language teacher, who is actually a substitute til mid September, who doesnt like to give extra credit. :)
Today will start some real work for him. Not that I expect him to come in with bucket loads of work, but yesterday all he had was a one page written work for his math teacher about things such as what he did for summer, his family, favorite color and food.
Today is also soccer practice, luckily no early practice to worry about. Though I will worry about the heat. its so awful out this week. 100's all the way around. :( The fun thing though is the coach is planning on bringing water balloons to practice. :)

Today will start some real work for him. Not that I expect him to come in with bucket loads of work, but yesterday all he had was a one page written work for his math teacher about things such as what he did for summer, his family, favorite color and food.
Today is also soccer practice, luckily no early practice to worry about. Though I will worry about the heat. its so awful out this week. 100's all the way around. :( The fun thing though is the coach is planning on bringing water balloons to practice. :)

my favorite message board has been down for upgrades since very early Saturday morning! Ugh! how crazy does a person have to go to not have her girlfriends to talk to? LOL! geez, I've got things to yak about and people to read on.

open house for school
we were late getting home and getting everyone in bed tonight. hopefully everyone will sleep ok. after going to bed, Hunter went to the bathroom saying he thought he might puke. he never did and has gone to sleep now, but that worries me of course!
we left after an hour of practice today. O M Gosh! it was SO freaking HOT outside!!! they had a kid to die, I think in the nashville area today, from football practice outside. terrible!
I had planned on leaving at 5:30, going to get dinner then head to the school, but both the kids were dripping, soaking with sweat. no way I was taking them to the school like that. yuck! so we left at 5, dashed home so they could both get a shower, then back in town and went to Captain D's for kids night.
left there about 20 after 6 and went to the school (the open house didnt start til 7, but I wanted to get there early cause of the crowds).
we hit it right too cause there were already like 100 people there when we arrived.
and this is where my picture of the day comes from. I had Katlyn take this as we were walking to the school.
not flattering of me at all, but oh well. LOL!
I wish I had a notebook or a tape recorder to record my thoughts as we waited in the gym for things to start up. man, thousands of thoughts running through my head! (for one thing, my aversion to crowds kicked in :-D ). We seen many families that we knew and C got to have one of his best friends sit with us while in the gym (he's in 6th grade, so they wont have classes together though).
C was very excited about it all, and nervous! he kept jumping up to go see people he knew and stuff. I finally had to tell him to plant it. LOL!
we got to go in each of his classrooms for about 8 minutes, hear the teachers explain what their class will be about and what will be expected. all the teachers seem pretty cool. I think the SS and Science will be the best ones for him. and amazingly enough, both of those teachers said they're not big on homework! WOO! math will be his last class of the day and she seemed to be a toughie. LOL! not that she was mean, just that she expects high achievement and stuff and well, she just seemed like a math teacher would.
we didnt get to meet the language teacher as she'd gone into early labor, I think today, so the VP was in there to talk to us.
Oh, they had his name wrong! they had his first name as his last, middle as first and last as middle as in James ________ Canaan. duh! I watched them fill in the paper work so I know it was written down correctly. I talked to the VP about that since I had her close at hand and she said she'd take care of it. at first C said "oh its no big deal" and I explained to him that they'd be calling him James Canaan if he didnt get it fixed! LOL!
I stayed behind and talked a bit with the science and SS teachers (his SS teacher is his homeroom).
I'll have a whole plethora of paperwork to fill out come monday!

will I cry when I see him get on the bus? I dont know. I'm not usually an emotional person at things like that, but at this point, I think it might be possible. LOL! I'm going to wait on the porch while he waits for the bus and I'll take pics from there. (wouldnt want to embarrass him by standing by him and taking pics of everything. ).
some more good news is that he's got another of his best friends in 3 of his classes, and the other two he has kids he's friends with as well. so there's someone he knows in all his rooms. he'll also have lunch with them too as all the kids on Honor team have lunch together (from what I understand). so that makes me feel better, knowing he wont be alone in a class.

can someone PLEASE tell my youngest to start pooping with normalcy?! my gosh. he had a blowout at the park, which I didn't realize til I was getting him in his carseat. then we left there to go to mcds for dinner and while I was waiting for my food, he blew up again! of course our mcds has no change table in the bathrooms! so back out to the van to clean him up once more.
does anyone think he may have a milk allergy? will that give you the runs a lot? I have no idea as none of us or anyone in the family has any milk allergies. I just dont know what to think as to why he's having such watery poops.
practice was fine. long, but fine. LOL! got there before 4 and coach was just a wee bit late. I took the little ones to the playground for an hour. they played in the sandboxes and everything. got nice and dirty/sweaty. LOL!
G was fascinated with the sandbox of course. other than that he liked just roaming around with me behind him, steering him where I wanted to keep him at.

Thursday is another early practice for goalie work. we'll have to leave a bit early that day so we can grab some dinner and then head to the school for Canaan's Open House. he's very excited!

the lowdown
daddy made it to practice tonight which the kids loved! he enjoyed watching them since he's not really seen many soccer games. they did a scrimmage tonight against a U-10 league team. they came out tied at the end.
while dh was there, I took the 3 youngest with me to Tasha's house. she had a bag of clothes for the boys and I had 2 bags of clothes for her to go through for Landon. she took all the clothes I had and I took all she had except 2 pieces for the boys. nice jeans/shirts, even some with tags still on. G and Landon played a bit while there. of course the first thing G did was go pull Landon's hair. *blush* poor L, he's like "who is this bully?!!" :-D
then came home and started dinner (spaghetti!) and dh, C and K got home not long after.
mom's watching the kids for me tomorrow. I've got 4 shops to do. have another due in town before friday night. might just do that one ON friday while in town... or maybe thursday before practice.
I'm tired tonight. bleh! I did get to sleep in this morning! G woke at 7:30, but I pacied him and laid him back down and he slept til after 9! I woke before he did. awesome when he does that! LOL!!
dh and I have talked and we will let C enroll this year. I've gotta get it done this coming week though cause school starts on the 6th. he's excited, but nervous. it'll be very odd not having him here during the day.

ew!
I forgot to mention the gross part of the day. today after driving home, G was asleep in the van, so I let him rest a bit (under the carport, in the shade with all the van doors open) he woke not long after we'd gotten all the stuff in the house. so I go to get him and realize he's blowed his britches up. after holding him at arms length to get him inside to change ( :-D ) I go out to check the carseat and the pooh has run all down INTO the carseat frame! so I get it out and start wrangling the cover off. how freaking hard does it have to be to get a cover off?? I got it all off except 2 elastic bands that were attached under a bracket bar underneath (where the poop was all pooled up of course) so I just snipped those off. It seriously took me a good half hour to get that off! sheesh! then I had to spray out the seat frame and get it all dried. nasty. never had a blowout to do that bad before. yuck!
booger's in bed now. hopefully for a LONG restful night.
K's ear is still hurting. I remembered I had some ear drops that FSIL had just given me a couple weeks ago, so we're using those now and a tylenol every few hours if she needs it. she's been very grouchy today so I sent her to bed early. which of course hurt her feelings, but what are ya gonna do? *sigh*

after dropping C off at practice I went to wmart to do the one hour photo, but thought I'd forgotten the film. searched my whole purse too. (turns out, I found it IN my purse after getting home. ) so we just wandered around wmart for a while. did find a new book I've been waiting on and picked up some .10 notebooks for the kids (they love using them to draw in)
I called the soccer coach while out too, cause yesterday I heard him talking that we were short a couple of players to be equal with the other teams. so I asked if C could signup and be on the team. he called the head guy and was happy to say its a go!! so he'll be there for practice tomorrow! he's excited, but nervous cause he's never played soccer before, but enjoyed doing it with them at practice on Tuesday.
K got to get out there and taught him some stuff today too, so that made her feel big.
so we'll go in a bit early tomorrow to get him some shin guards that fit (he was trying K's from 3 yrs ago tonight, but they're not big enough to cover those long legs LOL)
OH, funny thing while talking to the coach, he was asking about K and stuff and he asked how old she was (her league goes from 10-13) and I told him she'd just turned 10. he was VERY surprised and told me he'd been thinking she was at least 12.
I took the kids to Wendy's tonight for dinner. it was dang HOT outside. :P

just today stuff
we had a good afternoon. K's soccer practice went well and it had cooled down a bit by then with the clouds and stuff, so that made it better. I ran some errands after I dropped her off. had to get some gas, mail some letters and stuff.
C called during the last half hour of K's practice cause they were on the way home. they won tonight! 4-3!! so from the way I understand it, if one certain other team loses their last game, that team is out and C's team gets to head to state! the coach will call tomorrow to let us know.
the kids were great at practice (they do much better at the soccer fields than the ball fields for some reason). I'd bought a box of Crunch n Munch to snack on while at walmart, so we snacked on that and the other stuff I'd brought (baby didn't get any of course, he had animal crackers)
dinner was tacos/nachos! and I of course ate too much, so feel like crapola. you'd think I'd learn one of these years!
tomorrow as far as I know: NO PRACTICES!! we can stay at home all day! and its supposed to rain a lot, so that's perfect!

going to my moms soon. she's watching 3 of the kids for me today while I
take C to the ball game. I've gotta take the baby with me cause she's
got a room to move for my aunt who's going to be moving in for a while.
so at least it'll be easier with just Garrett than with all of them. K,G
and H were just as bad as little G yesterday, as in "are we done yet?"
"can we leave?" etc. so now its just the baby to take care of. it'll
still be hard cause its so hot out there and no shade unless the same
people bring that tent thingy and we can smush in a corner of it. wont
be home til around 7 (to get the kids).

ivy! ugh.
maybe playing in the pool at my moms will help to dry it up.

practice and a big 5 Birthday tomorrow!
practices went well tonight. it was super hot when C started his, but an hour later when K started the clouds had moved in and so did the breeze and it was a nice day to be out (finally!). K got kicked in the knee and jabbed in the side today, but came through fine (other than complaining about boys in general LOL! ).
C has to be at practice at 9 am. I swear this coach doesnt work on fridays. so I'm getting all my bills done tonight and my grocery list as well. I'll just take the paper in with me in the morning.
dh will be coming home tomorrow!! FINALLY!! we've missed him!!!
not sure what we'll be doing for H's bday. we may get him a spiderman cake/cupcakes or just bake some. not even sure what I'm getting him (isnt that sad??) he's liking transformers again (of course) so maybe I'll find an indestructible one to get he got a bday card from the church today and he was feeling mighty special! so while I'm not busy:

soccer mom starts again!
soccer practice went well. it rained the whole entire time we were there. and yes, they practiced in the rain. it was a slow steady rain, no lightening (except one flash I seen when we first got there) and no thunder. I did take my chair and umbrella though, thank goodness, but of course C and K were soaked to the bone afterwards.
The coach complimented Katlyn on her 'inner right kick' (?) saying she was really good at it. said he didnt expect any of the kids to know it, but she was really good and to keep it up! there's mostly girls too (2 kids didnt show, total of 10 team members and 3 today were boys) and it looks like she already picked up at least one friend today. plus in really good news, my good friend who lives up the road (but stays so dang busy) has her oldest son on the team with us! so I'll get in a bunch of blabbing time it seems!
took the kids to taco bell afterwards. we were all freezing though cause of being wet. then got some gas in the little car (drove dh's little ford focus), then to walmart for burritos and cat food and piddled around for a while. tried to find K some black shorts, but could NOT find any in her size. even checked the boys department. so we went to dollar store and got her some cotton ones we found.

I truly feel for her and like another friend of mine said, hope that she does get her children somehow, either by adopting, fostering, surrogacy or a miracle that she has her own children. there are so many options today to give people hope, without putting down other families.

garrett is so wired tonight! just in the 2 hrs that daddy and C were
gone, he's pulled a ton of books off the kids shelves, pulled out my box
of lids (3x's), got in the trash several times (til I turned it
backwards and he couldnt figure how to open it), pulled games off the
entertainment shelf, climbed the couch and wallered all over it, tried
to get on *top * of the couch (and was only a few inches shy when I
grabbed my cam and he flopped down), pulled out the puzzles by the
couch, turned the tv off/on about 7 times (and got in trouble each time
to which he laughed... little booger), played in the game systems,
played tag with gav and H around the living room, ate again and had
another sippy, pulled the keyboard and mouse off the kids desk, knocked
over a kitchen chair, been all over the house wherever the boys went to
and he's not stopping yet! he's in there bugging C for the remote right
now. that boy needs his plug pulled! LOL!!

couch, turned the tv off/on about 7 times (and got in trouble each time
to which he laughed... little booger), played in the game systems,
played tag with gav and H around the living room, ate again and had
another sippy, pulled the keyboard and mouse off the kids desk, knocked
over a kitchen chair, been all over the house wherever the boys went to
and he's not stopping yet! he's in there bugging C for the remote right
now. that boy needs his plug pulled! LOL!!
Don't Even!
I wasn't going to post this, but I just need to make something clear:
I am EVER so THANKFUL for EVERY single one of our kids! Not a SINGLE one of our children were "accidents" and not a single one of them were EVER thought of as "too much" or not wanted!
We have been through our share of heartache trying to have children. We have spent YEARS trying to conceive during our parenthood. We've lost 2 babies on that journey and they STILL mean so much to me, a part of my heart that will always be there. I think of them on their "birthdays", wondering who they'd look like or what their personality would be.
I have many friends in real life and online who either have fertility problems, lost babies, genetic problems, or have been told they can't have children. I've been there to hug them or pray for them and I do mean every bit of what I feel. I pray so much that every couple/person that wants a child could be blessed with them. It grieves my heart that those that want children sometimes can't have them and too many times, people that don't want them do.
BUT, don't you DARE come into MY "house" and tell me this:
"Please forgive me for being so bitter.
For those of us who are unable to be blessed w/the joy of a child, it hurts deeply to see what you've been given.

my FIL came in last night. he's leaving out today after he gets some
business done in town to go to Ohio. Katlyn went in with him.
My mom is coming to watch the boys today while C and I take Garrett to
the HD. I'll also go pay off one bill and smack a big payment on another
while in town.
oh, my A/C in the van has been working great lately! I'm hoping all it
needed was a recharge in freon (?) to make it work well. I really don't
want to have to take it in for them to work on it all day to find a
leak. it costs more for the labor than anything. :P
dh goes out of town on Thursday til mid next week. *pout* but it'll be
good money, so I cant complain too much. I think we'll make a trip to
see my Sis during that time to relieve some boredom.
Canaan is out mowing the yard this morning! finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank

kids are SO funny!
so just put G down a bit ago. think I'll try to hit the hay earlier tonight cause my eyeballs feel like they need it.
had a FUNNY Hunter comment though. tonight while fixing dinner, he was helping me with the taters. he'd count them while I peeled ("I took one away, how many do you have left?") and finally after all were done and I'd sliced them up, I told him "Now I'll cook them and we can eat those boogers!" to which he replied "no, just the taters."
TOO funny!!!
and tonight G filled his diaper with stinktacular stink again and K and Gavin were sure it was Hunter. they came running to me saying "Hunter's underwear stinks!" "he's got dirty pants!" and poor Hunter is looking perplexed cause he's not even been to the potty in the past while. so I ask him "is your underwear dirty?" he shakes his head no and says "no, they're still clean." well, G toddles up to me then and yeah, there's the skunk in the house! so I pick him up to go change him and K and G1 are whooping it up in the living room about how Hunter stinks. so I tell them its the baby, not hunter. ...
after changing him I come back out and get ready to fold some laundry. the kids are still whooping it up in the living room, saying the carpet stinks, the couch stinks and everything. (turns out G scrubbed some of the poopy smell into the carpets :-D ) so gavin, being the investigative person he is, sticks his nose in the carpet and proclaims in a great theatrics "ITS A TERD!!!!!!!!!!" to which sets off a whole 30 minute chase around the living room of It. the IT being the one that "smelled" like a terd! they were laughing so hard they wore themselves out! course Garrett just sat/stood and watched it all, amazed at them all. LOL!!

the kids and I are working on cleaning the house (ok, so my butt is sitting for a bit, but we have been ). kitty boxes changed, animals fed, clothes put up, dishes done, kitchen swept, trash out, toys picked up, half the bookcase put BACK on the bookcase, breakfast and all that good stuff.
still need to do our exercises (the kids and I are doing "Abs of Steel" in the mornings. :-D
I got a ton done on Garrett's first year picture video last night. I dont know how my mom does this stuff for a living. my butt gets tired and my wrist starts flaring up some carpel tunnel after a while. I'm hoping it turns out well though. I've already got Hunter's done and I want to have them both done before August to burn off and give as gifts for the grandpas (who both have bdays then).
then I'd like to do one of dh and I to cover our 15 years together (14 married).
I'd like to have one of C and K, but I'm not about to do it from birth cause then I'd have to scan all the pics in. bleh! too lazy for that. but I may do them one from the start of when I got a digital camera (2000) and go from there.
practice again today, I think at 6. I've already planned what we'll have for dinner (go me!) meatloaf, mashed taters, green beans, and mac and cheese. time for a good dinner around here!

friday finds
we did find some great deals today while out! the best snag was the last one where it was $1 for a bag of clothes! I've got Katlyn a whole new wardrobe for fall/winter and even some summer stuff! most of it is name brand items too, she's finally got a new stash of jeans to wear (Mudd, Aero, etc) and she's wearing a size 3 in misses! I spent $2 on clothes for her and came out with like 5 pair of jeans and 10 tops! go me, go me!
while there, I also found a GREAT wooden train set for Hunter!! got it for $1 and it has 2 trains w/ magnetic cars, tons of track and bridges, trees, signage and other stuff with it. I'm going to save that for his bday next month. he was sneaking in my room and once even got into the box and said "look mom! I found the train!" little booger. hopefully he'll 'forget' and be surprised for his bday.
got K signed up for soccer this week. it was $55. *sigh* and that doesnt even include the shorts for their uniforms. the county needs to find a new place to get their stuff from! but anyway, her first practice will be probably july 9th and games will start about the 22nd. thankfully she can wear the cleats that C outgrew from last year, so she has shoes to play in.
the bad thing is that to do this, Robert told me to use his spending money since he was going out of town this week, we'll, they moved it back to thursday now he said tonight. that means he'll be needing more money to get through the week. dang it.
canaan had a good batting practice today. they were inside a building, so no need to worry about the heat! but he has a scrimmage tomorrow morning at 9 am. thankfully daddy is off work tomorrow (though works sunday) and he'll take him to that.
in cute Garrett news, tonight dh was hugging on me while sitting at the kitchen table and G comes up to pat daddy on the arm (he loves daddy!). so dh looks over and says "my momma!" G laughs and says "mama!" dh repeats "no, MY momma!" and G says (laughing) "mama!" repeat this a few times. so cute!
and I think he said "that" today a couple times. I'll have to keep an ear out on that one.

yesterdays news.. year check up and all that stuff :)
its been a good day. we got some much needed rain again! but its supposed to trail out til a small chance this weekend.
mom took gavin, H and K with her today so it was just C, G and I to the dr.
uneventful appt. everything looks good. he toddled around the waiting room and exam room, impressing the dr. then showed his silliness by crawling into the wall and repeatedly bopping his head.
the funniest thing was him discovering the dr's chair. oooooooooooooo! it moves! he'd been having a great time pushing it around the room until the dr came in and sat on it.
he walked to me for some 'shy time' (which lasted about 30 seconds) then he walked over to the chair, plopped down and started pushing her around!
it freaked her out (he shook her back and forth about 2 inches both ways several times. she's not a small woman either, about 6' and not thinly built). she exclaimed he was a 'strong boy!' and then planted her feet really well to keep him from moving her.
... which really ticked him off and set him off hollering and turning red trying to move the chair again. she asked if he was trying to poop! LMBO!!! (funny how that got her an 'are you nuts, cant you tell I'm mad' kind of look from G )
he only got 2 vacs. we passed on the Hep A, didnt see the need.
she said he's doing great with his vocab (he says Mama, Dada, Bubba, Kiki, UhOh and Awwwwwwww and today started saying Gone) and he recognizes people/words but doesnt point, but will look at the person/thing you mention (like the kitty, ball, mama, turns when you say his name, etc.)
his stats are 32 1/2" long, 23.7 lbs and 18.5" head. (height over 95%, weight 60ish%) I'm thinking their scales are a bit off though. he'll be seeing a local dr next week and I'll see what they weigh him at and will do an average of both weights to log in his baby book for his official one year weight (I'm so anal about correct numbers LOL!). I just dont see that he's the lightest of all 5 kids (by over a pound). plus the last time we were there, they put him on the scales twice and got two different readings (its a digital scale), and there was about a 2 lb difference between their scales and the ones at the local dr. so we'll see what the difference is in that. of course he feels like 50 lbs when carrying.
I had to take back one of his 24m birthday outfits to walmart today. it had no growing room at all! and of course the 24m was the biggest size they sold in that style :( (a baseball outfit), so I found some snack bowls and will hold the rest to put towards the new stroller I'm still searching for! (unless I find something else he needs before then. hehe)
speaking of the climbing monkey, I'm going to have to lower his bed all the way down. the crib has about 7 levels and I put it down to like 2 up from the bottom back when I first lowered the mattress. well, when I got him the other morning, he was trying his darndest to hold on to the rail in the corner and push up with his feet on the adjoining corner rails to get up and over! he had some of his upper body up on the railing when I walked in! its either that or make him wear socks to bed so he cant get traction!
C had award presentations tonight after the last tourney game.
he got picked for All Stars again! and the best news is that it'll be held in the next town (basically a local tourney) so no big driving or hotel fees!! WOO!!) but the 'bleh' news is all the dang practices. starting tomorrow its every day (maybe not sunday, I hope) for at least 2 hrs each day, if not more. dh can at least bring him home, but I'll have to drop him off. their first games will be July 8, 9, 10, 11.

its been a GREAT year with him, he really is a true joy in every way and I'm so blessed to have him added to our family!
not much going on today really. after church we went to have some chinese food and while feeding G some ice cream we sang Happy Birthday to him.
course he looked at us funny then started clapping afterwards saying "yay!" 
he's napping now, great thing to do on such a HOT day!
for now, I'm going to reminisce a bit and go back to the days when I didnt know I was pg and my JB's convinced me to take a test! after 2 long years of TTC this little guy, he snuck in on us unexpectedly! he was a sneaky one!

we've had a good day. it was SO dang hot outside. these 90s are torture when you get no rain to help the ground and plants.
I'm not even letting the kids get on the slip n slide right now cause the 3 places where its been have just wiped the grass right out of the ground cause the stuff is so dry it has nothing to hold onto. so we've got big bald places in the yard, much less the crunchy grass that's high enough to tickle my knees. (ok, not really my knees, but it looks like it. ) even the clover is dieing now and the yard looks ugly.
we did play some air hockey today though (gavin beat me once and I beat C 3 or 4 times :-D )
G and I took a 2 hr nap this afternoon about lunch. he kept me up late and woke about 7:30 so I was tired. probably a repeat tonight I guess. :P
C had his first play off game and they won! 12-3! they'll play again on monday evening. I had to leave early cause it was just too hot to sit out there with G. even with our huge beach umbrella for shade it was awful. we left after dh arrived and I took the 3 youngest to walmart (K stayed at the park). we found dh 2 tees (one w/ his fav saying "nothing to prove") and I found me a pj set in pirate theme on clearance

almost here!
ok, the only things left on my list are to:

wrap the gifts
make dirt cups
I'll be getting pics of everything tomorrow as I can. we'll have plenty of food for everyone and they better all come hungry! LOL!!
I patted out about 18 burgers today, skewered about 20 kabobs tonight (some all shrimp, some shrimp/chicken/pineapple), got the ranch dip made, sliced the kiwi (4 lbs worth!), 2 lbs of strawberries, and have 2 lbs of grape tomatoes and also red seedless grapes and a pound of cubed sharp cheddar cheese.
plus we'll have tater salad, chips/crackers, hot dogs, little smokies, bratz and of course cake and ice cream!
got the gift bags made up today, hope the other 2 girls that katlyn invited get to come. (they said they would).
katlyn, cousin heather and friend dana are here tonight, along with G. the other boys stayed wtih my mom (woo!). the girls are still awake, but they'll be going to bed when I'm done with this. I'd told them they could stay up as long as they wanted, as long as they were quiet... well, dana is one that cant keep quiet. :-D I can hear her all the way in here at my desk, so they'll have to call it a night to make sure the baby sleeps. (the girls are camping out in the boys room and G is in his bed).
I'm really excited about tomorrow. I think I'll start on the cakes first thing (well, may do the other 2 things first, we'll see...) but it looks like it should go pretty easy tomorrow.
all this working my butt off should pay off!
oh, big G news! he's cutting another tooth! its his bottom left canine. go figure! he'll have a big gap between his two bottom teeth and that one. a little vampire. the other side isnt showing like the left is, so he'll be crooked for a while too. cute!
AND he's got a new tantrum he does. he gets mad, flops down on his butt and proceeds to push himself around with his feet in circles until he flops on the floor! I call it his Curly Shuffle. we all crack up watching him do it and dh says I need to get it on video (which I will!)
ok, off to shoo some girls to bed and hit the sack myself! *yawn!!*

I'll be getting pics of everything tomorrow as I can. we'll have plenty of food for everyone and they better all come hungry! LOL!!
I patted out about 18 burgers today, skewered about 20 kabobs tonight (some all shrimp, some shrimp/chicken/pineapple), got the ranch dip made, sliced the kiwi (4 lbs worth!), 2 lbs of strawberries, and have 2 lbs of grape tomatoes and also red seedless grapes and a pound of cubed sharp cheddar cheese.
plus we'll have tater salad, chips/crackers, hot dogs, little smokies, bratz and of course cake and ice cream!
got the gift bags made up today, hope the other 2 girls that katlyn invited get to come. (they said they would).
katlyn, cousin heather and friend dana are here tonight, along with G. the other boys stayed wtih my mom (woo!). the girls are still awake, but they'll be going to bed when I'm done with this. Happy Birthday
to our little princess! She turns 10 years old today. *sniff*

came to bed with me and we slept off and on til 8 or so.
boys have brought in all their dirty laundry (Lord help me).
have the first huge load in the washer about done.
folded clothes from the dryer.
K and I cleaned both litter boxes.
dishes are washing.
breakfast is eaten.
Garrett can stand up out of his high chair.
Garrett stole some PB crackers off the kitchen table as a snack.
Tom cat came up on the porch and tried to hurt the kitten.
Garrett is now looking for more crackers on the table.
K got a Birthday call from TRU.
K decided to have brownies today as a Bday treat (no cake since we'll
have it saturday)

busy, just busy!
I dont think I'll be on much this week since we'll be getting ready for the weekend. got to do a bunch of house cleaning and stuff, plus running.
we were out today for 2 shops and I'll need to go back in tomorrow to take back movies and pick up a bday gift for a party C is going to on wednesday night. he's staying that night with them and I'll go pick him up thursday, plus will probably go to Sams on that day to get the fruits for the party and stuff. friday will be the usual banking/food getting and saturday is the party.
I'm supposed to clean the house in the midst of this? oy.
worked on laundry today, got 2 loads done. wow. this week will be interesting. yep.
I did get my hair colored last night, so at least now I look decent. and yeah, just bought the $3 stuff to tide me over. I used a golden brown color to avoid any ugly shocking color that might erupt.
we also stopped at the $ store yesterday. I found a perfect platter to go with the party theme for $2 and some stuff for grab bags for boys. we'll be having 6 girls/6 boys. got the girlie stuff, needed the boys!
yesterday was also my nephew landon's bday party. it was good. got lots of pics of course. landon is such a cutie! he's so funny to watch dance! he'll shrug his shoulders up to his jaw and shake his butt.
will post some pics from that later.
today I stopped by Cares after my shops and found a cool large bowl that goes with our luau theme as well! got it for .50. I think I'll use it for ice for the drinks, and the platter I may use for the kabobs.
I've been making my lists and my plans for what I need to do this week. that's the best way I can keep up with what I need to do. LOL!
Garrett still has a runny nose. no fever since yesterday though! nothing else but the snot factory on overload. though I'm waiting for his activia to kick in and relieve him from firm poops again. seems he went from the runs to the stops in a day. *sigh* so he's got a bit of diaper rash from that.
crap... that reminds me... I seen a weird rash on gavin's arm tonight at bathtime. I need to check that out when he wakes in the morning. I'm worried it may be poison ivy, but he says it only itches sometimes. ?? ugh.
um... dont guess there's anything else. oh, I've got the snots myself now. joy. also the sneezes. does this sound like allergies or a cold? I never know if I have allergies or not.
